This is actually to do with my chessie trip on the 15th but it also applies to the thorpe bounceback aswell so I thought I would post it here:

If you buy a bounceback ticket(anytime) can your friend use it instead if you or is it named etc?

Nope you can still get it, it's cheaper if you select a specific date to return on but you can get open-dated ones still.

I'm sure they would do otherwise you could buy a cheap bounceback ticket and sell it for profit, not 100% certain though.
