I can assure you, all rides are tested in the mornings.

You cant spot everything, things such as hairline cracks would be very hard to look for in general maintenance unless it was somthing they were actually looking for. I have no doubt in the abilty of the Thorpe Park engneers nor of S&S to build rides.As soon as it opens ill be on it and wont think twice either.

Yes I know the ride was checked, engineering do these checks every morning from like 5:00am or somthing stupid, the checks engeneers carry out will be in guide to what s&s would recommend. Only then would the ride be green carded and handed over to Rides.

To be honest I really doubt we will ever find out why..

I would also like to point out the part what fell off isnt even a major part to the ride.

Because it wasnt a few more CM's, it didnt hit anyone, the situation was dealt with very well by rides staff and no one was hurt.Its not going to happen again either.

What are S&S meant to do? They cant test every single part for 2 and a half years can they? It smacked into a fence in the ride area which took most of the energy out of the object, if it had hit somone on that path I expect they would of been fine but the fact is still that it hit no one.

After all this rubbish its just made me want to ride it more and more :|

I doubt it would have done much damage to anyone on that path, the fence took the main blow and most of the energy from the object.

Just means shorter qs for us when it does reopen :)Which with abit of luck, wont be all that long! =DPeople wont be put of though imo, people still ride slammer and thats done MUCH worse.

Closing it for a month wont stop bits falling off =\?Of course they wont open it till there confident, but what I'm saying is they may well be confident before a month is over..

Things fall of rides every day, its stupid its made the sun.And since when is rush 100ft?I did email them asking to explain to me how something can fall 100ft from a 70ft ride, they are yet to respond unsurprisingly.
