    Your Thorpe Park

I didn't say that the ideas that Ste193 presented in "Your Thorpe Park"weren't good and I said that they were very good. I was responding to what TimR said about the possibility of Ste presenting his ideas to Thorpe Park. To which, I said that they might not take him seriously because a theme park doesn't just suddenly pick some teenager's ideas and would prefer experienced specialists and the aspect that his ideas are not economically-viable: I was responding to what TimR and not criticising Ste's ideas and my point being that he is not the only one who has tried to pass his/her ideas onto the park. As far as this topic goes, I complemented his ideas highly. So I have no idea what you (Mark) are going on about?

That's exactly what I am trying to say I am NOT trying to put you down and never said they weren't good.Your ideas are very well thought out and very impressive but they are not realistic as to the standards of Thorpe Park. They need to allocate money for themeing, the coaster, hardware, construction, ground-work etc.SAW as an example was £13.5 mill and that had its money for the licensing, the themeing, the coaster (£6M), construction of the island, etc, the landscaping, the shop, photo booth, etc and still with all that, went over-budget. We were told the zero-gravity roll scene would be of the bathroom scene from SAW I and that didn't look like a bathroom scene. There are people on these forums and also of SP who are much older, have experience, might have worked in the industry and have a feel and that realistic thinking of what can be done and what can't be done. Your ideas are something that easily be done by Disney, Universal or other big parks but for Thorpe...I'm doubtful. They might one have the finances to pull something of yours off but not in this current future.Furthermore, I'm not saying don't show off your ideas and seriously...the only thing I have mentioned, is your spelling and grammar.

The park won't do anything, why would they decide "Hey! Let's choose the this idea that this fellow called Ste193 has chosen." There are people who have graced these forums with much better and more realistic ideas than Ste and their ideas have never been chosen. They do what they feel is best for their park.

I understand Seb's frustration but I can also see how he was wrong:Seb was wrong to swear and to have misread the part which said that if anyone went during the week (last week e.g.) what were the times/queues like. However, if people on this forum have been to the park recently they'd prob make a post on trip reports forum-part and it can be annoying when people ask as we don't know, we don't work there and we aren't psychic. If people asked what are the times in the Merlin parks, we'd prob know as we have people who work at all 3 parks.

My idea of the infinity loop was different as the riders would dive down just like that of a Pretzel Loop, then they would be on their backs. Riders would do a lie-to-fly to get back into the normal flying position, then they would dive again and finish with another fly-to-lie to get back into normal flying position. I nicknamed this inversion as infinity loop or double preztel loop.I originally presented this idea for the "Your Thorpe Park" topic for my "Kingdom of the Plagued" (Egyptian town that has been plagued by the wrath of an Egyptian God: Zoarthura) and the zone's centerpiece was originally a 5-inversion coaster called Zoarthura: The Ravenger. However, due to the inability to perform immelman and dive inversions, it would have to be a 3-inversion flyer coaster. It's the same saying Mr Hicks that great minds think alike

This Infinity Inversion would basically be a double pretzel loop (1.5 inv - 2 inv) and would be able to be used on suspended-type coasters and sit-down coasters. The Irregular Vertical Loop wouldn't be able to be done on Flyers but on Sit-downs and Inverted should be possible - since Inverted's can do Immelman Loops. The S-Shaped drop which would be itself 2 inversions, would be able to be done on sitdown coasters only and maybe flyers (Maybe).----Hotjammy, the Spykids 2 movie doesn't show an upside-down vertical loop but shows a normal vertical loop that is found on an Inverted Coaster, where rides are on the outside of the loop but still go up and over...not down and under.

There obviously will be future B&Ms in the future.
  8. I'm just saying that if he ever decided to apply, his chances might have decreased.

No thats a normal vertical loop on an inverted coaster. With sit-down coasters, riders are on the inside of the loop and on inverted coasters, riders are on the outside of the loop...but they still go UP & OVER.I'm talking about the opposite of a normal vertical loop but instead of going UP AND OVER, you go down and under - the opposite of a vertical loop - basically an upside-down vertical loop.It can't be that hard to understand.

B&M's are too big to fit in an enclosed tent structure. The park haven't officially confirmed the coaster as B&M but pratically everyone thinks that its Intamin and some people have evidence but can't share it for legal reasons and the repercussions of getting people into trouble.
  11. The food isn't bad, I used to work at CWoA and they serve the same types of food in all units and their food is good. Saying something like that might have any future chance of you working at CWoA denied.

Flyer - Pretzel and X-Car - Skyloop, I can only think of.New inversions could be made such as a:1) An inversion I thought of, called the infinity loop would be nice - it's basically an inversion in the shape of the infinity sign and could be done on a flyer, inverter or any type of coaster. How it would work, is that when the riders are upside-down, they would do a half-roll to get them in the upright position and then go up and over and into another roll. The element would be equal to 2 inversions.2) How about the S-shaped drop/inversion that is found on the Extended Coaster in RCT3? It's a coaster with Maurer Sohne X-Car trains and at the top of the lift-hill the riders dive into a S-inversion.3) An irregular vertical loop: Normal vertical loops go up and over, where an irregular vertical loop could basically be an upside-down version of the vertical loop. Riders go down and under and whereas riders on a normal vertical loop are inside the vertical loop, riders on an irregular vertical loop would be on the outside. It's just some ideas I'd thought I'd share

Quite a nice idea and I like the idea of a themed station with video preview.

A S&S Eagle Coaster would be good if it is made like Nemesis. Slammer is quite innovative seeing as it was only the first in the world.Kuka are doing this tower ride with robo arms that is high-likely to be used in Harry Potter @ IOA as the Whomping Willow:http://www.kuka-entertainment.com/en/produ...concepts/tower/This could be used as a very highly-themed and innovative ride that Thorpe Park could deeply make good use of.

He apparently went into coma this afternoon and died just before 10:30 pm (Our time). He also had cancer due to his bleaching of his skin.
  16. I can't stand the Slammer shoulder restraints, they give me back and shoulder aches. I once dislocated () my shoulder on Slammer but it feels better now....I mean I can't feel any pain. I wonder if it's permanently numb.

  18. I don't know - like the admins say, they are soooooooo busy (which they are genuinely) and something like a warn isn't important. Which evidently would explain why it too so long for me to get mine removed.
  19. I'd prefer to go to Chessington than Thorpe, because with Thorpe, their entertainment is all rides whilst CWoA is rides, entertainment shows, the zoo, SeaLife, etc. The park as we all know is aimed at teens+ whereas Chessie is aimed at families with young children and will most likely be interested in the shows and the zoo. This means that the queues for rides will be more spread out at Chessington. The queue times for Chessington and Thorpe will probably be the same, Thorpe have more rides than Chessington and Chessington though they have less rides, have more options for entertainment. It doesn't really matter where you go IMO
  20. Well let's just say that I've had warn of 80% for about 6 months and only in March did I get that warn removed

Same - if you want to talk about Nemesis Inferno, put either Nemesis Inferno or just plainly Inferno. I never thought Nemesis Inferno was suited and Inferno is a lot better.
  24. SAW isn't scary to me (I'm 19) but it did put me a lil' bit on edge
  25. I "had" a friend with a dog, 2 cats, gold fish, hamsters, etc and their house smelt like sh*t. As long as your house is tidy and clean and doesn't contain toxic-like fumes (), then there's no problem. If the house isn't tidy and clean, then you're a bit screwed.
