Parks, Rides And Coaster News
Just to clarify, as it has been said elsewhere, but only very vaguely - Thorpe will still have the record for the steepest freefall drop in the world, and no doubt they'll advertise this to buggery. I know that we're not sure if Flamingoland's El Loco will have holding breaks at the top of the drop, but use your initiative; Steek Hawg - 96ft, 120 degree drop, and it has holding breaks; Flamingoland's new El Loco - 120ft, 125 degree drop, its looking likely to actually need holding breaks.

The previous '4th inversion' was actually the 3rd in the original layout, it was an Overbanked Turn, which was the element after and before two sets a MCBR's. After Thorpe revised the layout, the first MCBR was replaced with the Air-Time Hill, and the Overbanked Turn was replaced by the upper-banked curve which leads onto the existing MCBR after exiting the Air-Time Hill. The track could actually have been feasible if Thorpe replaced the original layout's first MCBR with an Air-Time Hill that went over the second set, with an Overbanked Turn inbetween. So after the Overbanked Turn the car would go onto the 'second' MCBR and into the Dive Loop.

Detonator is actually 115ft, but the new coaster is little over 100ft, by about 2 inches... Anyway you look at it, it makes it taller than Colossus and Nemesis Inferno.

I may not be the longest serving member of TPM, but I've been here long enough to know that that is not the way to get sympathy, Phill was trying to reason with you, but then you were adamant on arguing your point; which, lets be honest, was rather pointless. (ahem, Project Val? )And please don't double-post, just click the 'Edit 'button :DAnd I'm sure Phill has posted comments mocking other people's quotes, but never agressively, only to get things that have got out-of-hand, back in order. It's best not to argue with the Admin Team, they run the place, and if you upset them or they see you upsetting other members, they'll suspend you, just read the guidelines...Now, back on topic: can anyone estimate how deep the Dive Loop trench is? Is it deep enough for the car to go underground for a decent amount of time, or is it the kind of trench that is just there for a bit of scary themeing?

What, so like a fake choker around your neck or is that a bit too drastic? If it is then there's always a spiked body-clasp. They're fun

Songs And Lyrics
Well, you could at least get the lyrics to Disturbia correct. Any idiot with a brain stem would be able to hear that she sings 'PUT on your break lights', NOT 'throw' and 'Disconnnected, NO-ONE CALLS', NOT 'disconnectin', your call' :PBut anyway Sebastian was being annoying in some poeople's eyes but you've really got learn to laugh at something like that.

Does anyone think that the trains may have some spikes or blades on either side as part of the themeing for them? I would really hate Thorpe to use standard Gerstlauer cars, but then again, would Lionsgate want something they spent millinos on themeing, to be ruined by some kack cars?

Middle of the picture, the 'loop' after the Drop is the Immelman Loop. And I'm guessing that Mondial will pick Samruai up after its been dis-asembled.

Well, the island is really only big anough for SAW. So why have a completely separate island for with a new name and theme, with only one ride on it?I don't think that Samruai will be re-themed into anything to do with the SAW films, just a simpler sawmill-type theme, movie calaborration really only works with roller coasters.

I'd like it if there was a buzzsaw (round serated blade) underneath the Zero-G Roll, so that you could see it, obviously. You'd come screaming round the corner and get rotated round so your head is in the position to be cut off., (but you narrowly miss because H&S will shut it down if someone is deliberately killed)GOD! H&S is always over-acting! Even the smallest thing... >:)Ooo, what fun

Let's just hope the SAW themeing is actually that goodAnd I've just realised - the man in the video strapped to the chair has the same blood-stained back as the man that flashed up in the previous videos (Discovery and Statment)But I still see no relation of 'SAW' to 'Dylan', Maybe there's someone calles Dylan in SAW 5?

I don't really like the name, the 'The Ride' part just seems to crap all over the menace of the word SAW. But if we're getting SAW quality theming for this ride, the who am I to complain? O Joy

Yeah, sorry I did actually know that, but people would've chewed my head off if I didn't some credible evidence - Sorry :)A re-theme would be nice though.

Lawrence Wells (who has a very reliable source of information) is from TPG, and someone from THORPE PARK's Behind the Loops Competition, told him that Samurai would be sent back to Mondial in Holland at the end of the season, to be re-furbished aswell as re-themed into Canada Creek. It is likely that it will be given a new name, and there is speculation of it operating on a faster setting when it comes back. Although no-one has confirmed this due to the Top-Scan being a fair-ground ride and so was not manufactured for constant everyday use. I really hope that Mondial are able to tweak the systems and controls of Samurai to make it withstand the wear-and-tear of everyday use on a faster cycle.*fingers crossed... again*

Anyone else noticed the steepness of the exit from the Immelman Turn?http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/1443/sany0274oa1.jpgShould re-gain a lot of speed after that hair-pin twist towards it. Fun Fun.
