  1. Once upon a time a couple of months ago, TPM ventured to the outer whelms of the Northern Hemisphere to an alien species where people's speak a different accent in a land named Alton Towers. There was much excitement and amazement that these Maniacs were for the first time ever having an official overnight stay. So what adventures and situations will we see unfold in the upcoming 5 part adventure? It's 10th episode you know On Arrival TPM came across this huge mansion - where it was decided they will spend the night To celebrate Peaj gets the 'soft' drinks out for Mer & TopsyTurvy15 to get the weekend going Suddenly celebrations stopped when DaddysLittlePrincess, James & Co, Mer & TopsyTurvy15 are held hostage by a zombie This zombie put TPM all at gun point until they were all strapped into a Ripsaw Han30 & Myk brace their heads for cover as the terrifying water comes to soak all of TPM They somehow manage to escape and Mr. Fish, Han30 & James & Co. decide to ride into the Sky to look for safer turf Luke_A, Peaj, Styles & Hacksaw are extremely glad they can start to relax after that morning ordeal Suddenly the group came across a magic mushroom so they decided to ride it TopsyTurvy15, Styles, Peaj & Alpengeist then get high on the magic of the spinning mushroom As our group was so large - a big achievement for going to a land far far away - the 2nd half of the group had their turn Everything seems like at the moment it will all end on a 'happy ever after' note. But No that would be too simple. In the next chapter you will see that one member in particular needs to be marmalised but who? Who gets upset for eating in the cold? Is there another member trying to set up an evil plan and strip IanNem of his evil persuasive powers? Well if you come back tomorrow this fairy tale adventure will continue.
  2. There are no official overnight stats on this trip but people are more than happy to continue/ organise sonething between yourselves
  3. For those who find Winter Wonderland too expensive - It's free to get in. If last year is anything to go by people at most did 2/3 attractions each but naturally wanted to do something different so whilst people did their chosen attractions the rest waited and chatted over a mulled wine in some waltzer seats and a spinning carousel for a bar
  4. Potentially Holly's first meet since the London meet
  5. As I mentioned within the towers topic once the project I'm running at work has finished and my exams and coursework are complete that have come in this month. Plus I just got out of an operation from which I'm awaiting swelling to still go down for the next stage of treatment. Trip reports will come just at the moment I have other priorities at the moment. Please accept my apologies
  6. AJ replied to Sheepie's topic in The Forums
Once I've done the two trip reports and got the Crimbo meet properly up and running after I've recovered from my operation and caught up on my coursework, I will be concentrating on building up the activity in chat again. With planned chat times and also starting that weakest link for the closed season. If others want to organise chats in the meantime then by all means go ahead. Your idea James seems to be good perhaps name a time and discussion and I'm sure people will be following you in
  7. The budget would be a fiver if your opting in
  8. Just to throw it out there, this year we will be doing a secret Santa, just for a bit of fun as I think there is a general consensus of what people are like now! If you want to opt out - please PM me so your name doesn't go on the list for it. The draw is on December 1st
  9. So the date is chosen - you voted for one of the closest times to Christmas Saturday 21st December 2013. You must be keen! so this is now the date of the meet. Time to start PM/ Contacting me your interest, so we can get you on the list
  10. Ryan I'm picking up cornflakes from that station at half 9. Got one space left in car if you want it?
  11. I'd highly recommend Saw Alive: You'll be in there a good 10-15 mins, and access 'other' areas of the maze
  12. Before we went we thought £15 was a bit steep EC! But now been on it it's actually quite good value for money. It's quite an expensive champagne you get, a poncho, a wristband and a considerable amount of time in the maze!
  13. AJ replied to Confuzzled's topic in The Past
Coaster Jamie - completely different, it's nothing like going round the maze with people jumping out at you. Things will happen to you and you'll be in there for a long time Inferno it's well worth the money and I think this event will become popular from word of mouth. Meet at calypso BBQ for drinks before you are taken to your maze. Won't say more on the experience or it'll spoil it but its completely different - not necessarily scary (could be depending on how you scare) but certainly uncomfortable nervousness not knowing what will happen to you next
  14. After reading the agreement form yesterday (and understandably after experiencing it) 18 plus I know bits on web say 16 but its strictly over 18s. If you disagree please phone the park for confirmation
  15. After my encounter with Brave It Alone last night and finding out how brilliant it is (Hoping word f mouth is gonna make it really popular as its really understated) After the meet finishes at 10 just before a social drink before the journey home - I've decided for the last part of this meet for those who are interested to do a brave it alone maze. It's one of the those thins you can't describe how good it is until you've done it - very surreal. Please PM me or put yourself down if you want to take part Being the big fans of Thorpe we are - its sonething you shouldn't miss out on!
  16. AJ replied to Confuzzled's topic in The Past
Brave It Alone needs its own topic! It's really understated and OMG once you've done it, those mazes on a normal day will just seem sub standard. Highly recommended, just hope word of mouth on how good it is will help this event as its going to be a fantastic addition if it continues every year!
  17. 83 green bottles hanging on the wall....
  18. AJ replied to Sheepie's topic in The Forums
Just get yourself in mark and people will follow, not many peeps are gonna know your intentions within an hour. People need to get back home from work have sonething to eat and then when they start gettin freed up may browse on here see people in chat and come an join you
  19. AJ replied to AJ 's topic in Nonsense

  20. "Civilised TPM Christmas Meet" Civilised....Really....that makes it sound like an old persons function
  21. Good afternoon all of you wonderful people! I'm very excited to officially announce plans for our traditional end of year meet in LONDON! The votes have been counted and with your say you have changed the date to Saturday December 21st 2013. from the original date of Saturday December 7th..... The Outline of the day will be as follows: Meet under the Waterloo Clock between 09:45 and 10:00 am. If by any chance you happen to miss this meet point due to travel arrangements or just plain lateness you can either a) phone or text so we can arrange to meet you or meet up at the second meeting point later in the day. This first part of the day we will make the most of all the Merlin attractions based in the area by going to London Dungeons, Sealife and the London Eye. Please bear in mind we will leave without you if you are late as it’s not fair on time keepers! A couple of members have found out this on previous meets. We will stop for a bite to eat around Lunch, which could be Nando's but we will see what people think nearer the time. After the Waterloo attractions we will head off to Baker Street to see the wonderful Madame Tussauds before heading back to Hyde Park at the end of the day to go Winter Wonderland. (This time before Christmas so we get Christmas music ). I'd imagine we will have another eaten snack in the day and will be finishing it off with some drinks down the pub! I will be handing out my phone number for everyone who is attending the meet that day, should there be any problems. We aim to stay together as a group for the day, going from one activity to the next, enjoying getting to know people you share very similar interests with, the idea is to just go with the flow and enjoy the day with some awesome people. There will be many photo’s in the day being taken I’m sure and the possibility of a few video clips. Whilst we cannot force you to stay with the group, it is the general purpose of these meets! You will have my number (and some of the senior teams) if you become split so by all means use it. The meets are a fantastic laugh and everyone is invited, even if you’ve never posted before or been to any kind of meet at all. If it's your first meet, I understand it can be nerve breaking - but we were all there at one point so know how it feels, please don't let this stop you from attending. Look at previous trip reports to give yourself a taster - Once there you'll be part of the group in no time! Once again, everyone will have my phone number so please use it on the day If anyone has any issues or concerns or even nervous about coming, feel free to post here, or PM myself and I will get back to you as soon as possible. If you feel like my response is taking too long another member of the team will be more than happy to help. We will all try and help you out as much as we can. Please PM me or post here to say if you’re attending. If you are bringing a mate along with you, please also include who they are otherwise they will be known as ‘Thing 1/ 2 etc.’ The events with TPM have been fantastic this year, so that's finish this amazing year of events with a bang. Names will be added to the list once the date for the trip has been confirmed. Attending (21) Alpengeist Cornflakes DaddysLittlePrincess Dan9 EC! Han30 James & Co J.S217 Londoner Luke_A Matt Creek Matthew Mer Mr. Fish Peaj Phill Pritchard Rocket Ryan Styles Tommy Turtle
  22. There was 34 people who have expressed interest but only 20 places on the tour. Using the methods described in What to expect from a meet topic the people have been chosen. It’s at this point I kindly ask, if you are unable to attend the tour, please inform me immediately – there are many people who would like to have your place! If you have any questions about how people have been chosen please feel free to PM me and I will more than happily speak to you. If you are on the reserve list and would like to know the likelihood of getting a place if people drop out then once again PM me and I will talk to you about that as well
  23. But we go to waterpark around 2ish EC if your going waterpark. You can't do both I'm afraid. As its a 2 day trip that's why the option of going to waterpark for the afternoon was an option which the forum voted for
  24. Right the online tickets for the waterpark have sold out but you can still book by phone. They only have under 100 tickets left though so you need to be quick and there are nearly 20 of us going! The number to call is 0871 222 3330. Lines are open 9 until 5, make sure you book it in the morning. Any problems to do this by then - please contact me
  25. Anyone yet bought their waterpark tickets as online they are now sold out on Saturday!
