  1. Ah sorry my bad, I was for some reason thinking the picture was of the break run immediately before the station!
  2. I agree, some people do not differentiate between hard/soft landscaping and actual themeing, such as themed objects, signage... Nemesis is very well landscaped, but it's pretty modest when it comes to themeing - this isn't an attack against Nemesis at all! Ideally you want both the landscaping and the theming to work in synergy.Great progress on such an exciting development for Thorpe Park! The decayed and crumbling façades of the church remind me of Chessington for some reason? I would love to see some wild vegetation around the plane wreckage, it's the little finishing touches which I think will make this ride!
  3. Exciting stuff, hopefully further developments with 'LC12' will boost further interest in this forum, I must admit I haven't paid much attention here since Saw: The Ride's construction. I would like to see a ride named something like, 'The Event' based on some nuclear apocalyptic disaster. Great news, how many hours of time is this thread going to take away from my life in the months to come...
  4. If I were Thorpe and in the initial ideas phase for their next coaster (which I'm sure they are) I'd be looking at the current coasters and asking, 'which one is the most reliable'. Nemesis Inferno someone would say. And who are they made by? B&M This leads me to believe that their next coaster will be a B&M (if they have any sense that is) which again gives us hope of a flyer or a dive-machine. I can't honestly see a mega/hyper coaster being built at Thorpe, I just don't think there is the room! Like Millennium force at Cedar Point could easily take up the whole main island at Thorpe. Of course there is infilling but still I can't see a ride of that magnitude being built. Thorpe Farm is now a storage area? Sad really, I'm sure relatively it didn't cost that much to keep the farm operating.
  5. I'm planning on going tomorrow and fingers crossed it WILL be open. You may be right that it will be closed tomorrow, but please all of you who have been on it or aren't going on it in the near future, please show more consideration to others who are going tomorrow and asking whether it's open (we want to have hope even if bad fortune is against us ). It's frustrating as it is without people on here talking as if it's just a big joke or commenting about how it's the best ride in the park. lolIt is a joke. But not in that senseThankyou
  6. To be fair I've paid over £150 including train fare to go to Thorpe tomorrow with main goal of riding Saw: The RideI don't buy into it's a new ride so should have lots of problems. We all saw those cars rolling out of the station building countless times with no hiccups. And for all those people who say it takes them time to get use to operating the ride with guest visitors I think says a lot about Thorpe's failure of adequate management. If I splashed out £13m+ on a new ride, I would demand. no EXPECT that the ride operators would know how to work it flawlessly before opening. Even if it means inviting 100 people off the street to help them practice for coping with visitors.I'm just hoping it opens later on in the day or that guest services will offer me a reduction on a coming back to the park or something cause this news has come as a massive disappointment to me and I'm sure it will come to many who had planned to go tomorrow.I'm not a moaner, but I've had my heart set on tomorrow for ages, and I genuinely feel let down by Thorpe.
  7. Will Saw the ride be closed all of tomorrow do you think?!
  8. The actual ride system isn't, it's relatively primitive compared to stealth and all of its hydraulic machinery. However Saw's themeing and all the systems which synchronize everything may make it overall more complicated. So you certainly could be correct there (Completely irrelevant, but does anyone think John Wardley looks like Jasper Carrot?)
  9. Does he not? Shows how much of a fan I am with the Saw films http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/artic...unch-party.html... it all goes down hill from here (if you believe everything the Daily Mail says that is)
  10. Hey! sorry I haven't replied to your earlier comment, I didn't realize all this part of the forum existed :P I'm a technophobe! So when is your big day for going on Saw? :)

  11. The sound clips of the puppet seem to be identical to the ones heard on the Saw microsite.
  12. Sorry maytee, it wasn't a personal jab at you So wish I hadn't click on that. That indeed is a spoiler
  13. Here we go... another 3 pages of 'how unfair' Does anyone know much the actual physical roller coaster cost?
  14. I'm pretty sure the reporter and the Director of Thorpe kept quiet about the theme and effects either because:1) It's too scary2) They would need special cameras to film the dark section effectively3) Thorpe want to keep it a surprise (they have done til now so why spoil it?)4) Saw is a brand, and if the BBC focused on it in a positive light it could be seen as advertising, something they're not allowed to do Please don't assume the inside is going to be rubbish! You'll be bursting too many people's bubbles
  15. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the footage of inside the station is the offload platform not the onload
  16. off topic, but I really hope they play something like this in the station building http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FLZNorzkAw It's from the Saw V soundtrack, I think the latter half is especially suitable if you don't want to listen to it in its entirety.
  17. Interesting... the name '(A/I) BSwrks' is being created on the side of the station building beside the boiler...
  18. eurgh! health and safety these days is ridiculous! they're such party poopers! Sort of off topic, but I hope the area music isn't the Saw theme. I don't personally find it that scary.
  19. Although I expect they've kept to the plans, am I correct in thinking you don't need planning permission for internal spaces within a building? If you don't there is potential adjustments to the queue could be made from what's seen on the plans.
  20. A Gerstlauer Eurofighter very intense?! Coasterforce would have a fit if they heard you say that!I wonder if the topic will get to 100 pages by the time Saw: The Ride opens
  21. Is it actually confirmed Saw: The Ride will be officially labeled as being in Canada Creek?Potentially we could see another area listed on the 09 Map when it's released?
  22. hmmm I wish you were correct but I seriously doubt it's a plasma screen, mainly because the sun would be shining from behind it for most of the day so you wouldn't be view it easily most of the time. However I think it's more likely to be a sign saying "hold on tight" "face your fears" "let the games begin"
  23. Yes attention to detail is lovely ! Notice on the side of container (shop) it has writing saying weight etc etc.. At the top it says PR0 DYLAN then underneath 030309mmmm
