  1. When you word it like that, it is a big increase. However, I was more simply that £1 is a 'small amount' of money..

It was £3 at the end of last year - they bumped it up from £2 to before Fright Nights. But yeah, that does mean it has doubled in price in under a year.

When I went in 2010 it was £2

I think about may last year it was increased to £3

and now may this year another its £4

  2. it used to be £2 two years ago, then last year it was £3, and now its £4!!!!! goes up every year!!

one little annoying thing about thorpe is that they don't have any ticket machine so u have to still queue even though you have your pass! but lucky you can queue at the advance ticket collection window for one so the queue not normally that bad :)

I think Alton towers have machines?

  3. The face was spurting out water on Monday. I have a picture but I can't seem to find the lead for my phone so I can't get it on my laptop and photobucket.

Great to see the effect working again and nice to see the park have gone through the ffort of making it work again. (Unless it was just working by chance..?)

I saw that working too last time we went :D

  4. X no way out always has people on it, and many times ive had to queue on it , and I always like going on it. I think you have to remember that not everyone who goes to thorpe park is a big fan of the big rides, and x no way out, is a comprise and a very good ride to get people started, it could do with a bit of a retheme but what they done so far is a massive improvement

  5. I have recently created a youtube channel covering the UK's theme park rides. Up until now I have been using still photos in my videos. Is there an official policy as to whether video cameras are allowed on rides at Thorpe Park? If I use my camera, is there a chance of it getting confiscated?Any help will be appreciated :P

I have heard that have a go at somebody for using a camera over the pa on the rumba rapids and loggers leap!
  6. Strange saw alive isn't open until 24th... :P

When I came in this morning they had so many actors for the premier event I thought maybe they were using the saw actors for it this weekend, and maybe not have so many for new weekend and reopen saw alive?
  7. Where was this? I didn't notice it :(But I did notice they had painted on some nice glowing arrows :P ..Also since they have made it so dark again, they could really use some white strobe lights that set off when the train hits the brakes with those dummies.

The arrows are good, sometimes if it empty it hard to tell what way to go cas its so dark
  8. I find it strange how last year when it was 32 degrees Thorpe failed to have the waterfall over the tunnel entrance switched onbut today when it's rainy and cold they managed to have it on aswell as another (new?) spurt of water shooting down from the middle of the cave roof :P

I got to thorpe park queue a few times every year, and they only installed the waterfall or someone said it was fixed from before in oct last year? that was the first time I had ever seen it working anyway! we had a bit of a shock!
  9. So.. I was there on Thursday and overheard that the fire effects were installed, but not working due to a fault on the gas line, but were planned to be working for this weekend.. ie Saturday. Did they appear?

there was no fire affects yesterday
  10. Right I have just checked the terms and conditions as sometimes the friend and family discounts do not apply on certain dates. However for Thorpe Park here is the following:Adult Walk Up Price £42 (What!! That's gone up sooooooo much since I last bought a ticket)Friend and Family Price £24Child £31.20Friend and Family Price £18Now the important bit.....Offer is valid from 15th March - 6th November as long as tickets are booked at least 24 hours in advance. It's a dead cert to give this call another shot and If they say otherwise mention the false advertising on their website and with that they should then give you the deal

Ive given up the call center! I just went to smiths and got one buy one get one free so works out cheaper anyway!
  11. Hi everyone, I got my annual merlin pass this year, after saying about it for ages,I called the call center up trying to get my mate a cheap ticket for the 17th so we can go down and check out the swarm and the call centre said that this weekend is pass holder only, but I can buy a ticket on the website at full price, and it dont say anywhere on the website that its pass holders only? are they trying to fob me off? Thanks Tom

  12. Such a British attitude.. "It's not that bad" at the prices they're charging for people to get in, things like this should be perfect. Glad to hear about the amount of work they've spent on it though, though there are still many zoning issues with the audio.

I aggreeI went to thorpe park when it first opened this year and the flying fishes pa was broken, I when I went last week it was still broken!!!!
  13. I was down the other night and when the fight night music come on the speakers on vortex and flying fish kept maxing out like they were turning up to loud and there wasnt enough power for them and blanking out then coming back in to action?

  14. the flying fish pa system kept getting random bursts of music from the front and country bit, maybe there having a bigger overall problem with the pa systems maybe thats why x no way out was only playing music in part of the walk through
