Could well be due to the access of the site, given its central location. Having visited this weekend nothing notable has really happened of note but there's still time. I'm sure Towers know they need to make this acceptable as they're also competing with Blackpool's mammoth now too. Given the budgets cuts, it was imminent the flume would be derelict all season.

Pretty sure it's 2017 now. RCDB mentions this and I don't ever recall hearing it open. Then again, I'd be surprised if I had given the quality of this.

Still got Disneyland Paris coming up in a few weeks though and Winter Wonderland. Pleasure Island was my only regret.

Very much agree, Phantasialand is one of the best parks out there and somewhere I strongly enjoy visiting. My first visit did wonders for me, especially Taron, Chiapas and Mamba. I'm also another who actually somewhat likes the Ghost Train Omnimover, even though it's dated and will probably be the next thing ripped out. I feel a major modern dark ride is the next thing they should build. Hollywood though can go though and make way for something bigger, better and more modern.

Call Me maybe Dependa on work situations but I'll do my best to get down to Peajy's last meet.

Oh good, the Whaley Fail and their accurate park incident stories strike again. Least Towers did the right thing and stopped the ride, as a guest getting struck by a ride car is certainly much worse than a standard evac.

Yep, I can certainly see this happening next year. Alongside the Top Spin, Rumba refurbishment and reopening of the Railway. Yay optimism. On a serious note, I think Loggers may be gone for good now with it's footprint intended for the next big thing eventually.

I think something on the lines of Talocan would make for a great replacement the day Rammy fails forever, maybe add a bit of smoke, fire and water in there under the name Ramesis II. But unfortunately, this is Chessington.

I find attractions than can get a good consistency of theming and forces make for preferred attractions. Taron, Wodan, Helix, Baron 1898 and Swarm are notable contenders there. I won't necessarily turn down an unthemed ride but it may not neccasariky be top ride material if simplistic styling doesn't appear to exist, take Balder, Python or Sonic Spinball for example.

Slammers actually be running quite well this season to the brink it's worked well. Certainly been more reliable than Samurai and the Ghost Train, the former of which will surely go before the fly makes its final swat.

I'm sure it'll do wonders for the park and given how big the guy is in the states and provide a major filler ride for them. Should Merlin follow suit and make a Jonathan Ross attraction?

There's still been nothing on the Christmas Meet yet. Should we we just settle for the weekend it tends to fall on every year and create it from there?

Shame to hear about River Quest being shut. That ride is insanely good. Mamba A did seem to be one the slower operated rides when I visited too, which is strange. Agree with Chiapas, arguably the best flume ride around. Shame me you didn't like Winjas and couldn't get on Taron but guess it's a reason to return. Dis you manage to get on Hollywood and the Ghost Train rides?

Almost nothing but one star reviews for this years event. Seriously though I can see where they're coming from. How can anyone defend a three and a half hour queue for Platform which resulted in just three attractions in 6 hours. Things do need changing for 2017's event and it can't just be pricing.
