how can you listen to fictional musicians if.... they're fictional?? the music is surely still created by a real human being

in regards to the smiler, yes it does... stop being so insensitive. they haven't shut it because of budget cuts, or just plain laziness, or even due to the ride malfunctioning or something. they've shut it because an awful accident has occurred on it that's changed people's lives, and also been absolutely teared into by the media, severely affecting the popularity of Towers. not only would it be impossible to open the ride during scarefest, due to the safety reports and stuff... it would also be largely insensitive and also plain stupid... imagine the headlines in the daily mail. 'horror ride opened during horror season' or some bull****e. towers would get teared apart by the media, and Merlin really can't afford to lose anymore customers, or have its reputation tarnished further. the smiler will open when its ready, and when it should be open... not when us enthusiasts want to ride it again asap.

I could give it a go, but it might be a bit difficult if theres a 3 hour queue to see her
-
ah damn, thought it would be quiet as its a sunday and kids go back to school the next day (I have an inset day the day after so). I was only really gonna go because ive been once and can't afford fast track again. ugh, nevermind
-
does anyone know if I'll need fasttrack if I go this Sunday 1st November?? (for the mazes)
-
because he's stating that women in the music industry 'dress like prostitutes', and insinuating that that causes their success rather than their talent. not only is that shaming people for what they wear (and specifically women, in this case), it also insinuates that women who choose to show more skin than Adele are popular not for their singing ability, but due to their sexual image. thats just outright sexism and 'slut shaming' or whatever, lets be real here. people can where what they want, and it has no impact on their success or talents. women in the music industry can dress like Adele and be popular and talented, cool, but so can people who choose to dress differently and show more skin. or they should be able to at least, without receiving criticism for it or being labeled 'prostitutes'. thats all I'm saying .
-
oh, shut up. this such a gross, offensive and misogynistic point of view. people can wear whatever they want, and the amount of skin (in this case) a woman shows has no correlation to her talent or success. thanks.

this wouldn't work with the sheer amount of people who go on the mazes at thorpe, unless people had to start paying for them at towers... the amount of people who go thorpe at fright nights and go on the mazes is probably a much higher amount than people who go to scarefest and do all the mazes, both events attract different audiences, and scarefest attracts more families who are less likely to do the mazes. therefore, it makes more sense at towers to do bigger and better mazes (causing them to be paid for), as not every visitor at towers is going to do the mazes. but at thorpe, nearly everyone at fright nights is probably there to do the mazes, so including the mazes in the park admission makes more sense. I know most kids my age (16) wouldn't be able to afford a fright nights ticket and then like £20 on top for the mazes, so I'm pretty sure thorpe would lose quite a lot of business if they made visitors start paying for their mazes. that's just how I see it though, but yeah I don't think time slots/paid for mazes would work in thorpe, like they do in towers.
-
by the new one do you mean from last weekend?? also, link??
-
to be fair to thorpe though, despite them going the more "family" route in general, fright nights pretty much attracts about 90% or so teenagers/grown adults. most of that would be uneccesary and would probably all get overlooked in favour of the mazes. the mazes are what the people like, so thorpe focus on them . anyway with the amount of queues the mazes get, after 3pm they'll pretty much be no time to do anything else other than a few night rides and the mazes..

the first actor who briefs you is just wearing a normal doctors outfit...much like the dentists in the dentist room.. and the actor in the final room. nothing steampunk about them
-
casual homophobia right here. brilliant stuff. good work. keep it up
-
the second one. hopefully this post doesn't get deleted too.
-
there's pretty much no need to speculate from here on out...we kind of know
-
what did the deleted posts consist of?
-
no one has said that. also, the london underground isn't paticularly an IP is it?
-
I'm thinking of going fright nights again but don't have enough for directors cut again... so. sunday november 1st (the last day of FN)..how busy do you guys think it will be in terms of both rides and mazes?? will I get on all the mazes without fasttrack?? thanks
-
exactly. I haven't specified or said that derren brown, automations or the london underground would be the actual theme(s) of the ride. I've said they will probably all be significant or at least feature within the theme itself. no one knows what the theme is yet .
-
the underground itself isn't whats distorting your reality. it'll probably just be the setting of the ride, or at least have some significance in it. all I know is both containment and the big top (and of course WC16's marketing and clues up to now) heavily hint towards: a ) derren brown having some input into the rides creation b ) something to do with clockworks (an automation maybe..) being significant to the theme of the ride and c ) the london underground being involved in the theme/setting of the ride you can't really deny any of that (imo of course).
-
also, I still want a swarm maze to happen really badly.
-
quick question...I'm thinking of going Fright Nights again so.. if I go on the 1st November, how busy will the rides and mazes be?? and am I likely to need to buy a directors cut fasttrack like I did last weekend or nah?? thanks..
-
after experiencing containment I'm guessing a london underground based ride, with input from Derren Brown :-).
-
someone got it!!
-
yeah, the big top is miles better than studio 13 ever was.
-
yeah you're right actually. it was a good time but it was ridiculously not scary. I mean the actor in the fourth room was pretty creepy but that's it... it really wasn't scary at all. 5/5 scare rating on the map too...
