  1. I found the Vampire, the frogman and the Mexican bloke already! Love this fun element to the map, almost worth a trip to the park to pick one up alone.
  2. Be a bit of a disaster if the entire section would be out of comission for passholders huh? Still, even the most bog-standard cameras have zoom functions these days.
  3. Could you please take one of the new paintwork on the archway to Transylvania, I'm worried it's gone all purple like the restaurant did.
  4. I actually think this is a pretty good match...especially compared to some we've seen in the past. The Yoohoo range is all about selling animal toys and promoting education of conservation to kids. An animal based product sponsoring animals, more sense than berry-men sponsoring a north American themed river rapid ride.
  5. People were starting to place bets on there not being a pass-holders event, so I guess that's score 1 for Chessington.
  6. Right Chessington, 2 weeks to make us believers again.
  7. I just don't see why it's too much to ask that the rock work be replaced by....rock work? No one would suggest they leave the old rock work up if it were close to becoming hazardous, that would make us mental. But we also seem to be mental to expect what's taken away to be replaced. I really don't get why that's such a crazy notion.
  8. In my dictionary an overhaul is where you completely rebuild something making it bigger and better. I mean, if someone knocked down your floor damaged home but only rebuilt the skeleton and just hung some paintings to hide the exposed interior walls you'd hardly call that an overhaul.
  9. I get it, a steampunk style Scorpion to go with the exposed ride frame, very clever Chessington.
  10. 'Back drop' you say? My nightmare vision of a giant MDF board with a wild west scene sketched onto it isn't becoming a reality is it?
  11. Oh drat, I've just noticed how snarky my last comment reads. It's supposed to be critical of how Chessington won't even put in the extra effort on the small details as well as won't put the money into the bigger ones.
  12. You mean to tell me that it wasn't authentic Egyptian dust imported from a genuine tomb? Well that's just lazy theaming at it's worst!
  13. I'm pretty sure in a few more years the carnival on Harpenden Common will have more elaborate theaming. Plus it's free entry.
  14. ^ I believe your disappointment comes from the apparent lack of effort.
  15. Welcome to Chessington world of construction. I can't see the fire effects lasting a year, the water effects will go on the to do list for a few decades till they're ready to retire the coaster for good.
  16. I take no shame in admitting that I am very jelly.
  17. Ban bus shelters, the public may be horrifically crushed!
  18. Hey I thought it looked pretty good back in October. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a255/Pink_Oracle/Chessington2013047_zpsb54fa562.jpg
  19. But then, if it looked too green it wouldn't look very African. When I picture Safari I mostly see yellow.
  20. Got to say the mild panic that spread after rumours Madagascar Live wouldn't be returning surprised me. I had no idea the show was so popular, would kids that small actually notices if the people dancing in Madagascar suits switched to another kids brand?
  21. I dunno, sure you could say a park entirely themed on Lego bricks is a bit samey but at least we know they will always have to remain consistent. I don't think we need to panic about some day theaming being replaced with bricks painted on MDF. You know?
  22. Yeah this confused me too, I always assumed Scorpion Valley was just a glorified name for the pocket of space the ride sits in. I never thought Mexicana was going to be affected on any scale.
