  1. I'm still wondering what type of ride this will be! I remember a while ago the CEO of Dynamic Attractions said that they had a park in the UK working with them on an SFX coaster (I'm pretty sure I heard this at least, can anyone else confirm this?). So surely, if that is true, it must be Thorpe Park which is getting the SFX coaster? I can't think of any other park which would install such a technologically advanced coaster. Supposedly, the budget for this project is very high so this could be possible, right?
  2. It must be the times! The stopwatch on the short film did say 7:30PM, so you must have to log on after then to complete the clue. Also, before the stopwatch did the the fast-forward, it was stating the time 8:50PM. So maybe you have to log in between 7:30PM and 8:50PM to complete this clue.
  3. The other day I was trying for ages but to no avail. I just logged on today (around 19:52PM I think? That might make a difference?) and it suddenly said that I had completed it. The only thing I can think of is the time that you log on, but I really don't know. XD Good luck getting it guys haha.
  4. True. The best time to do it would probably be about 9:30pm or so. The queues should have lowered significantly by then, but it'll still certainly look the part!
  5. Personally, I find touching most scary when its done to someone else in close proximity to me. For example, in one of my runs through CITW, an actor grabbed the woman right in front of me and kind of mimicked a vampire by nearly biting down on her neck, and that really stood out for me as one of the scariest parts of my run through. Maybe its the tension and the understanding that you know it could happen to you at any time!
  6. Yeah, I'm crazy excited about this year's Fright Nights! I went last year (as my first ever halloween event) and honestly had the best day of my life so I hope it's also fun this time! Still wondering whether or not to do Containment. I think I'll wait until more information has been released and until my friends decide if they want to do it. Who here has already booked Containment?
  7. Don't worry about it. I think you might be hyping it up a bit too much! They're suitably scary and definitely quite intense, but the best advice I can give is to just go with an open mind and experience it for yourself! Don't worry, you will get scared (and have a lot of fun), just don't read into it too much as they're best experienced for yourself without knowing what its going to be like. Just don't worry about it, and go for it, and then you'll love it!
  8. Personally I think it's a cool idea. I mean, I also like having the choice of which one I want to do, but at the same time I don't really have a drastic preference and I think it adds to the experience. As you guys have just proved, it definitely adds a lot more anxiety and fear to it, which is kind of the point of Face it Alone!
  9. As far as we know, yes. I think there must have been a problem with too many people choosing the same maze. Also, this makes it slightly more uneasy to experience, as you don't know what you're going to get. Also, Face it Alone tickets can now be bought online on the website for £15, alongside Behind the Scenes tours which cost £20.
  10. Here on one of Scruffy Dog's latest pictures you can see the 'Wheel of Fortune' that they are going to use for Brave It Alone this year. Each maze is represented by a symbol (A circus tent, a cabin, an axe, and a severed foot for The Big Top, CitW, MBV and SAW respectively)
  11. Ahh okay, thanks for clearing that up! This will be the first time for me using RnR, so I hope it's running smoothly! I do think that the system would be beneficial for the scaremazes, as they get very long, very boring queues, leaving people disappointed and annoyed about how long they had to queue for what is sometimes a mediocre experience (e.g Saw:Alive the past couple of years). However, scaremazes are very inconsistent with throughout as it very much varies depending on how quickly people are moving through the maze as to when they can release the next group (and also becausee group sizes can vary), so the RnR system may not work out too well, should they be operating it for the scaremazes. Hopefully they work something out.
  12. What exactly is Reserve N' Ride like? I know what it is and I've heard that it can create lots of issues but can someone explain exactly what they are without getting too heating or anything haha? Also, when Reserve N' Ride is running on the park, do you still have the option to use a normal stand-by queue (for people who don't have smartphones, for example)?
  13. Sorry to double post, just wanted to ask a quick question. Which do you think will be better in terms of queues and of scares: the 10th or the 17th? (1st or second Saturday).
  14. I don't know, I think its more scary being split up half way through. Last year when I was in the maze (my first time in MBV), I was desperately trying to follow the people ahead of me becaude of the darkness and I couldn't see anything, and it was incredibly scary because I think just after the hospital scene, I got grabbed by an actor and full on shoved down a different path to the rest of the group while he was screaming "Go this way!!" in my face. I think thats a lot more scary than being split up at the beginning before you've even got to a scary part. In the end, I don't actually mind that much - I'm sure it'll be great whatever they decide to do.
  15. "I'd take an atmospheric intimate half themed marquee over a overly themed cattle herd universal maze any day." I agree actually. The Americans seem to do things a lot better than we can in terms of theme parks most of the time, but I've always thought that our scare attractions were better than theirs. True, they have incredible theming on theirs, but they're just not that immersive because they only have one very clear, uninteresting route, very obvious scares, and you have to wander slowly in one long line. In England you go in groups, you can run and hide in places, you can cower in a corner and the actors have so much more freedom to get right up to you and genuinely scare you. On another note, do you think Saw:Alive will have the 'hands on shoulders' style again this year?
  16. ^Thanks for the updates, they're great! I have to say, The Big Top is looking really, really good. Also, if the maze spans both sides of the beach, it should be fairly long, which is great. Hopefully Scruffy Dog make it look just as great (and scary!) on the inside.
  17. Have to admit, I think it's looking fantastic. With the entrance being at the large white tent, do we think this will be the main maze area with the circular tent being an undercover queuing area, or do we think it's the other way around?
  18. Hey everyone, I'm new here. I've also found some photos of Containment:
