just wondering if their is anyway to programme your dvd player in the UK to play region 1 dvds?

I've been looking for a movie for sometime and I can only find it in region 1 format- so I am wondering if their is a way I can play it?

Depends very much on the specific player you have, They should all be region specific when sold, but many are 'breakable' with a certain combination of button presses.

Best bet is to put your make and model number into google alongside 'region free', or try some of the links here.
