Small Thing I noticed (I'm always on the look out for the small things) Before the Winters Tale event, Chessington listed Vampire as one of the open rides along with 3 of the Shipwreck coast rides, The Adventure tree, Room on the broom and Tiny truckers. Now it does not list vampire as an open ride, but has added the Jungle bus and the flying jumbos Could there be unexpected work for Vampire?

it looks like the page for scorpion express is no longer on the chessington website- so could it actually be going? when they refurbished seastorm, the page remained saying it was closed oh I love the suspense

sad, but their we are. acording to chessington buz, jungle bus will not operate for the 2022 season as it's " reached the end of it's operational life at this time" I don't know if they are going to try and refurbish it, or they are going to go down the roote of black buccaneer and just replace it, or if they are gfoing

what's going on with monkey swinger not sure I've seen it closed for so many consecutive days

vampire. that's lasted for years. will be sad when that goes

glad you like it no one's perfect, but given the fact I was angry at the time, I did quite well

first question: is anyone stuck on the rides and if they are, what rides and how long for? don't worry if you don't know, I'm sure I'll read it in my google update tomorrow

I can even break down the rides in to their areas if you're not satisfied

I can't remember the names of rides at theme parks? you wanna bet? you challenging me huh? okay. thorpe park: angry birds 4-d, colossis, rumba rapids, flying fish, tidal wave, stealth, saw-the ride, the swarm, darren brown: rise of the demons, the walking dead: the ride, quantum, depth charge, rocky express, lumber jump, timber tug, zodiac, vortex, detinator: bombs away, king pig's dodgums, Nemesis Inferno and Samurai and if I've missed any out (I probably have), feel free to comment chessington has dragons fury, tiger rock, toomb blaster, scorpion express, rattlesnake, vampire, gruffalo river adventure, flying jumbos, zufari: ride in to africa, tiny truckers, todie's crazy cars, kobra, monkey swinger, griffin's galleon, seastorm, black buckineer, and for the ****ing record, Rameses Revenge. happy now? and if you reply saying I missed out I'm a celebrity and hocus pocus hall from their respective parks, you can piss off. those are atractions, not rides

I just saw your post on page 1 of this topic vortex isn't crap, actually I'd quite happily pay to get in to thorpe park just to spend my day riding around on vortex with my arms in the air their are worst rides at thorpe park than vortex depth charge rocky express the banana boat thingy I'd go as far to say that time voyagers (when it was in the park) was pretty childish seeing that it is a teenagers park Chessington could have had that, while thorpe get that ride next to toomb blaster (which is **** by the way), not toomb blaster, the thing next to it that soaks you in water. and angry birds land is a much worse investment than vortex (they rethemed detinator. woopy ****ing wooo. ). gave it a new name and that's it can you tell I'm annoyed that you dissed vortex?

fun observation: the wikipedia page for vortex briefly stated that " it was now closed for good just to be safe" (in reffrence to the fireball accident) not anymore it doesn't queen of the vortex (aqa me) edited it herself also if you check the vortex page on the thorpe park site, you will notice it's not known as "vortext" anymore guess who that was down to?

MR rabbit's tropical travels Loved that and wicked witche's haunt Remember when detinator opened causing a fuss about wanting to ride wicked witch's haunt and calling from my seat- what happened to that ride? and I was told by some guests in the queue it had burned down yeah right, I thought didn't believe it until I actually read somewhere on a thorpe park site about the fire.

hi, thanks for the reply! so Vortex did open in 2001!. I may be blonde but I do know at least something. lol.... do keep me updated on the situation with vortex. maybe you're right. maybe they are just waiting for a part from KMG

so has anyone heard anything? it's been a week since I posted to this thread. yeah, okay, perhaps I'm obsessive, but I'm after news of it. not even the wikipedia page has any info on it- I think it's safe to say it's going, which, given the fact it's lasted what.. I want to say 17 years (I'm using the asumption Vortex was installed in the lost city in 2001), though saying that, am I thinking of quantum?

does anyone know what was wrong with loggers leap anyway?. was it announced closed, or was it your safari skyway- just closed like that. I think canada creek (old town, what ever) is probably going to be removed. I think timber tug and lumber jump won't stay around, and saw- the ride is probably going to be given it's own area (you know like swarm island?) I think a new children's area is going to be created- consisting of flying fish, banana ride and rocky express (or rocky express may be removed entirely) my imagination running away with me but that's what I'd do

hi. I hope this is the right place to ask... but what's with I'm a celebrity? only seems to open a few times a year. now closed until july....? I mean I thought about school holidays and stuff, but that can't be it- because wouldn't they shut other atractions to?

hey. I've been watching this topic as a guest. I really hope that what ever's wrong with vortex isn't longterm. A. I want to get a ride on it this season (and if it stays closed, I won't be able to) B. I never got to ride bubbleworks on it's final day of operation, and if this is closed forever, I've missed my chance with Vortex as well. and C. how can I call myself EmilyLovesVortex, if vortex is going to be removed?. I'll have to change it to... EmilyLovedVortex, or something referring to vortex anyway. lol. I'll continue to watch this thread as a guest, I doubt I'll log in much to post- just interested in what happens with this ride

ride was open yesterday. acording to the site it had 5 minit wait time all day now it's saying the ride will be back soon

I've ridden both versions of bubbleworks- and I agree with everything said above, the original version is so much better however, I can't help thinking this is all some sort of a hoax 1. the news articles (at least lal the ones I've read) are from diffrent websites- but it seems they are all copies of the original.. for example, 1 news site got it, then sent it around. 2. the artickle is extremely bland. apart from, " a chessington spokeswoman said", what else is their?. any reactions to the closure?. a full history of the atraction?. a time of closing (fair enough it gives a date, but yeah) 3. I don't believe for 1 moment that chessington are planning to aution off ride sets. that does not seem like something they'd do- wouldn't they be placed in storage? 4. didn't bubbleworks have some work done to it during the 2015 closed season?. well then, why bother doing that if they are going to get rid of it? 5. after the outrage of removing safari skyway, chessington are going to want to regain the pubblic's respect- not removed another classic attraction these are just thoughtxz these are just thoughts
