Got some interesting news on stealth Jax, I’ve spoken to the staff guarding the area. The man was great and he said the engineers are working between the launch bunker and where the catch car is. They are actively working on it now as we speak. They have been testing it today and it’s been making the crest but they are still doing the remainder of the work so it might be operational quite soon. He did say the part ordered came recently but it’s such a complex coaster to work on so it takes time and a lot of money. Hope this helps

That's interesting. There wasn't staff there before. It was just cordoned off by rope. There was only staff there for about a week before. If you go round again, can you mention to them that it tested on Saturday and see what they say about it...
-
The cherry picker isn’t there anymore and there are Thorpe park staff guarding the area stopping people going near it
-
But it tested on Saturday so it DOES work which I don't understand....
-
Hmmmm, wonder why that is...
-
The ride area is all completely closed off. I’ve spoken to a guy at reception and he’s told me engineers are having a hard time fixing stealth and the parts are really hard to come by so he said it could be off for a while still yet.

Here at the park. Absolutely nothing going on. Cars not even out the shed, no engineers or anything
-
Anybody know what's going on today?

No most don't but a small minority but have found it useful to know alongside!
-
Considering Rita took another 5 days or so to open after it was first testing again, I expect Stealth could be similar. It's encouraging to hear it testing on Saturday though!
-
Ah cheers Jax, I never thought about that actually. Great point there 😊
-
I agree that they might be doing some final checks before they start testing fully. I know it's a bit different but they also stated at the time that Hyperia would only be testing on weekdays when it first started testing, so that may be something to keep in mind too.
-
Interesting Jax, We definitely know for 100% that it was certainly tested and it did indeed make the crest too. We all know now they have got her working again but I'm not sure what is actually going on now because today there's no action at all. I could only think either they tested and another fault has come up or there doing some final checks on the ride mechanically before getting the ride tested and opened. I certainly agree that Stealth will be getting re-opened soon but for now there's absolutely no action around the ride today which leads me to think there in the launch bunker doing something or they need another part.

There's nothing there now. But on Saturday one train was in the unload section and one was in the brake run section. The train can't get to the brake run section unless it's gone round and completed the circuit or they've moved the train from the unload section for the other train to be on the brake run. This indicates it tested and was confirmed to have tested by someone I know who works at the park. Given Rita had been testing last week and just reopened, I shouldn't think it'll be too long before we see the REAL Queen of Speed back up and operating again 😁
-
What a train is just sitting on the break run ?
-
Think Drayton also recently adding a Vikings area (and the Valhalla refurb) has made it feel a bit ott as a theme.
-
Thank you. I will try

Enjoy your day, and hope you can get some useful info?

I know that is really annoying. I was going to go to Thorpe Wednesday but I'm going tomorrow instead as the weather doesn't look good for Wednesday. I'll have a look if anything is going on with Stealth while I'm there. It's really annoying though because I have to drive 3 hrs to get to Thorpe as I live 160 miles away. Although Alton Towers is only about 35-40 mins away from me. I prefer Thorpe as I've been to Alton Towers too many times now haha.

Aaaand Rita's only gone and reopened. If only Stealth could take notes.. 😮💨

Expect Rumba to be up soon? I don't really care for that lol.

No action at all today at Stealth. Rumba on the other hand cycling all day and then about 3pm with staff in position, so expect to be up soon.

This weekend I went to Paulton’s fan day, the park certainly put on a lovely event. Several tours/BTS were carried out throughout the day, from seeing Cobra’s ride workshop, Storm Chaser’s OP cabin/train workshop process, the new construction area and much more. We had over an hour of ERS in Tornado Springs and Ghostly Manor (more on that soon) as well as a lovely buffet in Mel’s Diner and a Reveal/Q&A with park management. The biggest news/reveal of course was the new Vikings area (Valgard), which will include a new coaster, flat ride, restaurant and also re-themed Cobra (soon to be Raven). Surprisingly, the new coaster will be a Gerstlauer eurofighter, but hopefully the park will carry it off well, I find the smaller ones the better rides usually. Vague hints of a new water ride the following year were revealed, but not much else. Very exciting still. Magma will be a goner later this year. At least for Paultons. The lodges are several years away still. They also did a Q&A and showed how they build Ghostly Manor, which given the areas footprint/show building is impressive they got that all in. They also did a silent disco, but I left at that point. So, Ghostly Manor? My thoughts? It’s a lovely compact dark ride mixing screens and scenes nicely (they have 10 of them), plus the queue line is nicely done too. Whilst it doesn’t hit the same way as Alty Mans or Danse Macabre (which I did days earlier), it’s a decent addition to the park and great to see them finally obtaining a dark ride. Should suit the park nicely. Interesting times ahead perhaps.
