I think X was shut, something to do with the air gates. It’s just when I went to Thorpe on Tuesday (the day before it was down). I and James (Jamie_CoasterKid), we both were the last people of that day to ride on X:\ WTF ……lol. Anyways before we where let on to the ride the ride op kept fiddling with the air gates, So we had to run before it shut on us (which I thought was quite dangerous as they do really push fast and forcefully) so before we were getting dispatched I noticed the air gates still kept going spazz, and the stupid ride op looked a bit confused looking at his control panel as well. I thought it was the same problem that SAW had with its air gates on the weekend before it was opened to the public(<I think). Then the op guy said “you can still ride I can fix that later on” So that’s why I think X was down for the two days, and I wonder what the operator meant by “I can fix that later on”. TWO DAYS!!
  6. I'LL BE THERE!! attending

^ ITV1, better shows!Roller Coaster launch mechanisms: LSM (Linear Synchronous Motor) or LIM (Linear Induction Motor)???
  8. 1: T Express - Everland2: F1 Coaster - Ferrari World (opens next year as the fastest ride on earth, 145mph)3: Millennium Force - Cedar Point4: TTD - Cedar Point5: Maverick – Cedar Point (would have been 1st on the list if the Barrel Roll had not been taken out!)6: Griffon - BGW7: Bizarro - SFNE8: Manta - Sea World9: Diamondback - Kings Island10: Blue Fire - Europa ParkSo much more I could cram in.
  9. Personally I find both rows just as good, maybe I prefer the back. (This is what I’ve picked up from my 9 rides on SAW) The front seats do give you little jerks under the head chopper and also one just before going vertical on the Immelmann loop. After that the car does make a bit of a rattle noise till you reach the Banked curve. None of this it hardly noticeable when you are travelling at 55mph, btw please can we all stop complaining. Anyway yes the front row does offer a more open view which means more wind blasting in your face and knowing what’s coming at you. Ok to the back seats now which is much smoother. And both drops on the ride are brill as you get a more intense drag and pop of air and comes as a nice surprise as you cannot really see the drop and the blades and everything else on the ride until it happens, like not knowing when you’re at the top of the main hill and the sudden shock dropping off the MCBR with another weightless part of the ride then entering the Dive loop whipping you more around on the back row. (but the stupid new brake fin makes it less effective now slowing down the ending of the ride). Surprisingly you do still get a lot of wind rushing around you during the ride. So for me I prefer the back. This is just my view .

Hey sorry if someone has already posted this but CCR is now opened after continuous testing throw out the day.
  11. (Extreme Spoiler) Here's another video of just looking at the man, fall screen high quilty.
  12. Here's another Video from Yesterday I took (may take a while to load). You can hear “Billy” the evil puppet laughing and other clang sounds being played just before you go up the lift hill. It does stop a little going through the brakes but all Euro-Fighters always do that.
  13. Saturday 7th March 2009 – The site was very busy all day with worker and ride testing and polishing, getting ready for next week. More painting and signs around the place and extra themeing going on. The police car will hopefully be staying because of the siren sounds and flashing lights going on. The Colossus and Samurai queue lines have been extended. New paving is being laid from Samurai to SAW. (Spoiler) lots of sounds being played around the area such as the loud clangs, dog barking, police sirens, and “Billy” the evil puppet laughing just before you go up the lift. And much more sound you can just about hear on my videos.See Pictures or .thorpepark09.blogspot.com!
  14. Yes I knew there was a plasma TV there! Clicky
  15. Hay I think I may have spotted a plasma screen above you just before you enter the lift hill on a pic, maybe of Jigsaw saying something to you, Click Here to see the pic, Think about it and look very hard. Please don't have a go at me for being wrong. Thanks!
  16. ^ Well actually the chain lift runs pretty fast. I just happen to video whilst they were testing it at a slower rate. ^ I am sorry to say that the blades on the headchopper were not moving today. And the smoke that you saw was from the workers machinery.I'm so so sorry that my video is taking so long but will be up in the morning, Edit:
  17. ^ Dam to late, o well Another update for ya ;)Wednesday 18th February 2009 – Just got back from the Thorpe Park again for some updates to keep my Blog running. See Pictures or (vid will be up very soon)Much more progress since I last saw it four days ago with busy workers finishing the paving on the ground. Fences has started being put up, silver frames have been attached around the two huge industrial fans, as well as a big rusty pipe attached to the main building leading to the fake boiler tank, and some various other little bits and bobs. A little testing was going on. And just to confirm “Saw” The Ride’s opening day will be on the 14th of March. Next update from me should be in a week’s time.
  18. me when I'm older!and one for luck.
  19. I’m not sure if someone has already posted this before, but on the “Blue Print For Torture” section of the official website of SAW, in the pile of pictures there is a plan of the Station themeing (Click Here To See the Pic I Took Of It). As you can see the themeing has changed, with lots of pipes going everywhere, and a destroyed effect, to create the sawmill atmosphere.P.S 103 days to go!!
  20. THORPE PARK has an update on their blog section on the mini site. Seems like as well as ride photos, they're installing an on ride DVD . They have invested £13.5 million on this project That is a lot of money to spend on one ride. See for yourself Click Here.
