  1. Questions about fright nights in the FN topicAccording to recent construction:All that's left is:Dive loop Immelmann turn, then I assume that it will be:Station being built Themeing for station, for coaster and landscapingTestingFinishing touches

My point is that maybe a black president would have different policies and what he would stand would be different to the forementioned? It's not about race, it's about people. I'm not saying it is, I'm saying maybe....

ObamaAll prev presidents have been white and therefore the country have been run and brought up on how a white person percieves the country to be run. Everyone have different problems and opinions and sees different things and maybe having a black presient, whose ancestors lived via the racism-era, would have different morales and visions of how the country should be run and what are the problems people face.O bama, might have awknowleged that important issues affecting the country haven't been delt with and if he was to be made president of the US, maybe having a black president would be a change for the country and a better one? All I saying, is at least the next president whoever he is, won't be worse than Bush.Britney Spears or Wino (News-worthy)

Dragon's Fury is now the top dog but Vampire is a classic and it always (according to the public) racks longer queues than DF, I find and guests find.

  8. Lost City is actually a Greek themed zone, than opposed to people thinking it as some mayan/aztec zone.My friend works in Greek Hotdogs, a unit in Lost City. I asked him what has Greek got to do with the theme of LC and he said because LC is supposed to be a Ancient Greek/Atlantean City. Many thorpe park websites state LC to be an atlantean civilisation. My reasons are:1) Vortex has the roman/greek numbers2)Zodiac used to have the roman/greek letters3)Colossus was based after the definition: Something/someone of massive proportion I.e. Colossus Statue also a roman/greek word. Also has many greek references I.e medusa fountain and arcitecture.
  9. Having a horror-dark themed Canadian Creek, might not be a bad thing, in fact it might do that area and the park some good. With this coaster 09, Thorpe are trying to create a darker atmosphere (never before seen) @ Thorpe and having the area that the coaster is in themed to something darker, might just do that.I mean, if Thorpe could do to Canada Creek what they did to Amity Cove, that would amazing. I agree, that Logger's Leap has been around for some time and tbh, look at the state of it! It looks quite delpidated and it could do with some a re-theme/refurb soon in the next 5 years max. My thoughts are that I love the finale but the drop looks a bit bare compared to Dragon Falls, which has the Budha-face carvings, which look impressive.

I know this doesn't help the situation but: You know you got told off bad, when TPM's resident smoker tells you off.

I would like to try and sort this out:Theme Park Bloke, you have to understand: Its not like, what so and so says goes. It's what the ADMINS say goes. Everyone in the world is equal and also on these forums too. Everyone has the right to an opinion and to express themselves WITHIN reason and acceptance.E.g. Just because X says something, doesn't mean it necessarily goes. If I say for example, if you're rude to someone you will get punished, in that case, it does go. Some people on these forums can be annoying and can be an arsehole and everyone gets on everyone's nerves. It's apart of life. And if you have done something wrong, people like Rich (who are trying to help) will tell you what you did and where you went wrong.

I meant ive seen both of them working there on the rides. Ive seen the brown-haired on RR when I went there as a guest.
  15. Will replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
He does work there because I have seen them there. I still haven't figured out which is which in the picture. Anyways...both of them, the blonde and the one with the brown hair work there.
  16. Is Wimbledon too far? If it's on your way, then it might be possible but it's very easy to come by train for a return costs less than £10

That would defo happen if the hotel & waterpark are a success. E.g. think about 2010 coaster for Alton, which looks like their biggest project yet. A really-well themed coaster, that is both thrilling and breath-taking. Where would Alton have got the money for those investments. But for the hotel & waterpark to be a success, the park itself need a massive clean-up and to be re-done:Landscaping: Maybe Thorpe could get ride of Octopus Gardens and replace that area with a nice relaxing garden, whilst the kids have fun, the parents can relax and enjoy the jumping water fountains. Even a patch of green land, the type they have at the picnic area at CWoA would go far.Detail of the park: Massively clean-up and upgrade areas of the park, add nice touches and add themeing to the exisiting areas. Have something special in each area, something that is unique. Hotel & waterpark should only come when they have finished reclaiming treasure island and the land behind stealth/flying fish, then they can tidy the place up really nice. I can realistically see Thorpe becoming a masterpiece but in the future, not the near.
  20. Yeh!! Holly & Co; twas much fun back in Feb
  21. Father Sebastian has pronounced you two, husband and husband> You may now kiss the one which is more feminine/.......................camp aka the bride.
  22. I wonder what that could be.....maybe we could wait till 2009 till we actually see what the final version looks like. For all we know, we could get even better themed coasters in the future.E.g. Maybe Thorpe could knock-out a flying coaster that is more expensive than stealth, has a new loop, is very well themed and is partially over water. That would be sooooooo unexpected but possible. Kinda makes you wonder ....
  23. Family Rides: 8 ridesDepth Charge, Flying Fish, Time Voyagers, Quantum, Zodiac, Logger's Leap, Rumba Rapids and Tidal Wave: are all below 1.2 metresCOLOSSSUS is not the world's first loop-the-loop. They are the world's first 10 looping coaster.--------------Thorpe's:Most inversions on a coaster: ColossusFiery: Nemesis InfernoFast & tall: StealthScary/spooky: ?Wettest coaster: ?Multi-sensory: ?Coaster with worlds' first ........inversion: ?Expensive (A coaster that costs more than £12 mil)?Well-themed?Maybe Thorpe could be the home to a coaster with a never-before-seen inversion? Now that's a good idea! I have been thinking of a loop that looks like the infinity sign and it would be seen on a flying coaster as the pretzel loop is half of it.
  24. I'll be coming and YES! I'll be wearing a belt. Back in Feb, we were running for rides and let's just say.... I had to hold up my jeans because they were slipping off my hips.If anyone is really struggling with cash, I have 13 free tickets left BUT I have to save 8: Thursday 11th (1) Thursday 18th (4) Fright Nites with sister & friend (3) = 8 in totalI'll have 5 free tickets left (including one for myself) = 4So basically, I'll have 4 spare tickets if anyone is struggling. Obv if you aren't struggling then pay as everyone else is unless you have annual pass, etc. If anyone thinks, that they won't have enough cash, then contact me asap.
  25. Someone mentioned about wanting a sitting coaster at Thorpe, we have Colossus which is a sitting coaster. It doesn't matter how perfect something is, someone can always find something to complain about.
