  1. Yeah. Isn't that normal practise on Eurofighters, as one car can sit at the bottom of the lift as the other is travelling up?The more cars on the track, the happier everyone will be though
  2. I suppose it's quite rare, but I go to school on a Saturday...Just get longer breaks I think I'm getting down there for the weekend after opening, hoping it will be open!
  3. Surely by now they would only have theming left to do on park...It would be great to see some shots of it as its coming along, but I'm wondering if they want to keep it secret until the opening.Ride its self looks excellent, although lift seems to take a long time and I'm still worried about capacity. They may say the capacity is good but I doubt Thorpe will be able to keep up with the top mark capacity Gerslauer give the Eurofighter.
  4. YES! YES! YES!These were the best songs ever for Depth Charge. I remember singing Sweets for my Sweet on a very rainy day while queuing for Depth Charge, one of the only times I've enjoyed queuing while singing to all those great tunes that were used.
  5. Both are excellent and I suppose would work best in different areas around the ride.Thorpe Park would be missing out on a huge part of the theme if they didn't use the official Saw soundtrack though, it really is amazing!I'm just hoping they can get the audio right. It's a new part of the park so it should all be brand new and separate. Can't wait
  6. Even though its not essential, it would be nice to see a bit of change as it is close by.Back on the topic of Saw though, are we expecting a new video today (Just checked and nothing yet) or are Thorpe Park not keeping to that 13th plan that was followed so well last year? Progress is looking brilliant on the ride, and as for the theming, if you're a Saw fan, you'll know that its just perfect to fit with the existing theme of the films
  7. I think its quite a good idea to get rid of the areas, I can't stand them personally, at Thorpe it seems a bit tacky, without them is fine :rolleyes:And in response to the idea about characters from the films being around the area, I think this would be a great opportunity and worth taking on Thorpe's behalf. Jigsaw's Doll on the bike would be a good idea and maybe some bloodied up people running around, but then this would probably have to be age restricted, posing a problem...I know it sounds harsh on under 15's, but I would love to see it have that certificate for the ride and surrounding area because then at least the ride/station/area could be a little more extreme, rather than having to be limited cause there could be young children around. Thorpe Park are solidly in the "thrill park" status and I would like to see a little more "thrill" from this ride and less family friendliness.
  8. Amity Cove, to me has always been a little bit crackly on the sound side and I haven't been impressed with the speaker quality, although these do seem to be the speakers which are the most open to the wind, rain etc. Also I would just like to start the topic off on the music which will be used for Saw:The Ride. I am REALLY hoping they will use the tracks from the films and I'm guessing that due to the involvement of Lionsgate within the construction and theme of the ride that they will be given the rights to use all of the tracks. I'm especially hoping for 'Hello Zepp' to be used, probably more commonly known as the "twist ending music" played in every Saw film. It is an excellent piece of music produced by Charlie Clouser. What is your view on the music that should be used for the ride its self?
  9. To be honest I'm quite looking forward to the theming on this ride more than anything. If you have seen Saw you will know that this is a perfect finish for a building that is carrying on with the theme which the Saw films have created so excellently. Thorpe Park have made a nice move theming all around the station too instead of leaving panelling showing, it'll really impress from all angles. Can't wait to see more shots from the main side of the station; and the inside!
  10. Ohh okay. Thanks very much for that, just that I had seen that they have made some theming parts and wondered if this would be possible to place onto the ride etc. So, for the new coaster next year, will it be Tussauds Studios along with Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures that help make the set pieces and so on for the station and general area because I think with the asistance of these great companies, the effects and theming will be world class.
  11. Is there no way that Tussauds Studios (or whatever they call themselves these days...) could have completed the work on Samurai or does it need to go back to the manufacturer so everything is safe and everything? And the theme of Saw looks excellent, like has been said before, they REALLY need to use the Saw films as a basis for ALL the theming and the legendary line in Saw of "Game Over." must be used. Also the trademark screens that Jigsaw uses to tell his victims of their challenge will hopefully be used and I can imagine if they pull this off, its not only going to be the best themed ride in the UK, but if the ride has a good "kick" to it too, overall, the best coaster in the UK. I'm so looking forward to it next year, opening day is a must!
  12. I really like Drayton. Please take no offense if you are part of the team, but the staff are rubbish, but the park its self I really like. The most fun I've had at ANY park was at drayton where my mate and me sat in one side of the car on the black revolver and it spun like crazy sending me into a fit of giggles and the ride was actually painful it was that intense haha.
  13. I was at thorpe over the weekend and on monday. it seems that nothing is happening on Rush, with it just being left closed every day.Slammer was having problems saturday but then was tested with dummies sunday and opened late.Detonator was having problems on both saturday & sunday where the lift car was getting stuck and then having to be lowered VERY slowly but no problems on monday.I was quite happy with the 3 visits in the row. but monday was very disappointing being the busiest day with the coach park being filled!
  14. I think Vampire is great, the station and soundtrack are great. my favourite part of the ride has to be the corner out of the tunnel when sitting at the front, courr you swing so high and it maks me giggle
  15. Does anyone know why Inferno makes that noise as it leaves the station??Its a great noise but I cant remember hearing it on other B&M Inverts.
  16. I'm not talking about any of the soundtracks here. I mean the noises which the rides and coasters actually make.I have noticed as I walk round the park, that the attractions make some great noises which really do remind me of the park, and I have so many times refered to Thorpe Park's rides outside the park. For Example, the other day I was in a mates car and his brakes were making a noise just the same as Samurai powering up and down in the ride cycle and I loved it so much Some of my personal favourites are:- Nemesis Inferno pulling out of the station and that clonking noise which I "think" is made by each of the set wheels passing onto another section of the track.- Samurai when slowing down and powering up. - and Colossus leaving the top of the lift hill. What are your favourite noises from the park?Thank Youd.m.k
  17. I've only ever been in this attraction once and to be honest I didn't think much of it.I enjoyed the maze at the end, but thats because I find those fun anyway, but the rest of it was a let down.It sounds like it could do much better with the use of live actors. Even goblins ones would be great!
