  1. What a stupid thing to say. Maybe you don't mind paying £3 for the worst / most uncomfortable bus journey you could ever make but I don't consider £3 for that journey cheap. I can get from Watford to Brent Cross (a 70 minute bus journey) for £1 with my Oyster card. £3 is a very unreasonable price for that bus (which is like a 10 minute journey) and the fact it costs that means over 3 visits thats already £9 I've spent on just getting from the station to the park.

What actually is an oyster card? I have heard of them many times! They don't have them here in Gloucester. Are they those scan things?
  2. I know most travel from all over the place and majority pay on day... :o But does anyone think Annual Pass holders, should be allowed on the Thorpe Park bus for free? :D

Although that would be great, it is a separate business and they have to make money too!
  3. This is always my first ride of the day, every time. I am always a bit nervous on the first ride of the day on it as everyone has just had there breakfast and well spinning rides don't settle the stomach :o

  4. I cant give you a definite answer on that one, purely because the Saw Store isn't my unit. Though I think they retail at £9.99 - £12.00Please don't hold me to that though! You don't want to go to the Saw Store though, no no no. Mega Store ftw!Yeah erm, about Saw, I think the throughput is terrible. :o

I'd be stupid to shop anywhere else!Anyway, the megastore rules. If I buy anything I can get from the megastore I buy it from there. TBH all the small shops are cramped and have long queues. Thanks for that!
  5. If Saw is closed, why not drop by the Saw Store and pickup a Syringe Pen for only £1, or perhaps a T-Shirt, so you can relive the moment when you were told Saw - The Ride is closed! If the Saw store isnt enough, then come along to the Thorpe Mega Store, the biggest store in the park, with a wide range of Gifts & Products that will make you remember your wonderful day at Thorpe Park! :o

That... sounded like an advertisement, you should get payed extra :D Also you will probably know, how much are the SAW t-shirts? Thanks
  6. SAW failed to open until lunch time today. During tests at the beginning of the day, it climbed at the lift hill VERY slowly, even getting stuck a couple of times. The MCBR didn't seem to help much either...

Ohhh Crud, I think I realy have cursed the reliability of the park :o:D
  7. Harry did you really need to post that twice?Yes its a yorkie train but why post it twice in the space of 2 posts?

The first link was not working for me. Is it working on yours? Just comes up with 'can't connect to the server' ahh well I will just delete one of the posts
  8. The Billy Puppet is £34.99. There is also a Headknocker for £17.99. There is other stuff which ranges from £1.50 (syringe pens) to £6.99 (a talking Billy Puppet keychain, hats, bags, etc.) The smaller prices do vary day to day.

Thanks for that! Might just get some of that stuff when I get there eventually.
  9. it makes no difference to now because of the silly single rider que-the fastrack will be a quicker que but with groups of people. And buisness wise thorpe would make alot of money.offtopic:who rekons the xcelorator fastrack should be brought back

I don't understand? Single rider fills in the seat gaps therefore making the queue more efficient but adding fastrack would make a difference because they stop the main queue and open the fastrack gate then it just slows down and makes the main queue very much longer!
  10. Even though selling fastrack would make the main queue last even longer?

I agree, selling fastrack will defiantly make the queue longer therefore they should not sell it in these ridiculous queue times, but, Merlin in a business and aim of a business is to make money.
  11. Does anyone know if you can watch Channel 4 live on your computer?

Yea, There is a program called Zatoo. If you give it a search in google and download it you can watch all freeview channels. I use it and it is really good.
  12. Every single one is amazing Saw 2 has a great storyline 1 has the best twist in the film. Being a Saw :the movie fanboy I have seen everyone at least 5 times and still love them. When I get paid from my new job I'm going to be buying the billy puppet from Saw:Store.

How much is the merchandise in the SAW store? Especially billy the puppet.
  13. I wouldn't call it an effect, id called it more a promotion for YorkieWhen a ride is sponsored, Thorpe are paid to slap theming around (for the sponsoring brand), thus, resulting in Thorpe getting some of that money back <_<I see their logic, but I still hate it

Yea, I guess your right about the effect/promotion thing. And I know that they do get payed for it but they spend the money in the first place for the theming for the rider/guest experience but the advertisement is not adding anything to guest experience, especialy if the bluetooth thing is not working! <_< At the end of the day Thorpe park is part of merlin and they are a business and the aim of a business is to make money!
  14. Ohhh great, another bad advertisement! And as for the bluetooth feature, another effect not working in amity cove! I personally love the theaming of amity and is it just me, but that area of the park is hit with advertisements most.I know that SAW is the best themed ride in the park by far but tidal wave has great theming but then it was plastered with natural source signs and now the contract had ended (thankfully), the signs are still there! But Yorkie on Stealth they are not related in any way!!! I really hope I am not being thick but a 1970 speedway and chocolate? There is no relation whatsoever! There must have been a reasonable sum of money spent on theming for Stealth and they wreck it by adding a really bad advertisement. I know that it is not that easy to get advertisers at the moment but wouldn't advertisements for car tyres fit in a bit better?I just hope it is not going to last!Vent over!

  15. I have seen a rollback but never been on one, it was a shame because we were about to get on.

I have seen loads but there were three in almost a row and I was in the que and it does get frustrating when it takes like 20 mins to get it back up and running so that was 1 hour added to the que <_<
