SAW: The Ride
I agree that it does sound quite authentic, however anyone who's seen the SAW films will know immediately it isn't the real thing, detracting from the brand.I just meant I don't see how he could be expensive, as Lionsgate would want him to do it for a ride branded around their film. He is contracted to Lionsgate, so I think the reason for him not doing it, isn't financial. After all, Lionsgate are funding an extensive marketing scheme, money no object; It's not nessecarily TP who would have had to pay him.

SAW: The Ride
I'd have thought he would have done it for nothing, due to the fact Lionsgate are contracted with the park, and it is their ride effectively, until the contract expires.Really they should have got Tobin Bell to record the voiceovers and the TV ad because it adds so much to the experience.Alternatively they could have just cleverly edited sound clips from the films together to make the advert (The dialogue on the exit stairs is from SAW II).

SAW: The Ride
IMO The most forceful part of the drop is the moment when the car just tips over the edge, and I would think a holding brake would take away a lot of the force.

SAW: The Ride
I don't need to watch my mouth, thanks. I think this is just a case of you not understanding my point.I think maybe your idea of a 'chav' is different to mine, as I am referring to 'chavs' as people who are rowdy/queue jump/arrogant and make the park a worse place for others. So no, I think all 'chavs' are bad, yes.I'm entitled to an opinion.

"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgjqgxioIKc"Exactly my point! :PWould you not want to kill yourself if you were stuck in a queue anywhere near them for 3 hours!!

SAW: The Ride
Try not to get offended so easily, your reading too much into what I said. I'm a teen myself, I simply meant because it's half term, adults are mostly at work and many teens go in big groups. I'm not stereotyping, I know I'd just rather be in a full park of families then in a park full of teenagers. This is because I cannot stand endless often huge groups of people dominating queue lines; and secondly because they want to go on all the rides I do!

SAW: The Ride
Arghh!! Damn TP for starting advertising SAW again on tv! I saw the 10 second ad 5 times in 3 hours on primetime itv yesterday alone >:]The park was getting so uncomfortably full (hitting full capacity by midday frequently) during the Easter holidays; and now it's half term, it's predominantly teens filling up the park which is the worst!

SAW: The Ride
THORPE PARK actually didn't secure the branding/sponsorship or the SAW theme until quite late on in the process; this has been confirmed in interviews with individuals on BBC news.

SAW: The Ride
Should there not be a separate topic for SAW:The ride -queue discussions?Hardly anything in this thread anymore is anything related to the ride itself; but just to queue times and fasttrack.

SAW: The Ride
Might sound silly, but I think for me, the whole thing would seem better themed and just look better if say, the building was set into the trees near Loggers Leap, and more surrounded. Not on an island, just fitting in a bit better. They could have even got away with just having a themed front facade, with the rest of the building hidden from view. They could have then invested in more of a three-dimensional front, and a fully themed, all indoor queue.

Queue Times
SAW: after 1st time, 1 hour. probably be prepared to wait longer if there are actors etc.Colossus: an hour, relatively lengthy rideStealth: 20mins in the single riders queue, not really worth the wait in the main queue.Nemesis Inferno: 40mins, queue line isn't too bad.Detonator: dont usually bother going on this.Rush: 30mins maxSamurai: 40-50mins. Don't like the cattlepen thing though, or how the queue is now twice as bad.Vortex: 30mins? usually a first or last ride of the day :]Zodiac: walk on, or not at allQuantum: walk on, or not at allSlammer: 40mins mostLoggers Leap: 40minsTidal Wave: usually a walk on always been pretty lucky with tidal waveRumba Rapids: don't often have to wait longer than 10minutesX:/ No way out: 15-20 minutes most

Park Theming & Effects
I dont understand why they planted such small vegetation around the queue!? At the moment its obvious it was only finished weeks ago, there is no sign of any sort of establishment or age, which is important to the theme. The least they could have done with the rest of the landscaping is some bark trimmings on the floor, as opposed to the mud :/Those footers are mighty ugly too. This whole 'building theme' has nothing to do with SAW either.

SAW: The Ride
The point is, this is suppose to be the worlds 'scariest' ride, and the park wants to be known for its thrills. So I can't see them giving priority to CCR.Therefore there aren't really many excuses for the lack of landscaping and theming/effects outdoors. This is also blatantly obvious even just from the queline and surrounding area. With all the money the park are being fed from Lionsgate for marketing, I cant help but think they could have done a bit more?

SAW: The Ride
I think TP really missed a trick by not using any sort of fog/fire/pyros throughout the entire ride!! They also could have done a lot more with the light. These little kind of things would really enhance the existing theming.

RCT3
Sorry, didn't make that clear. It's the PC version, and like I said there are various patches around to make it work with Macs but I'm not having much luck
