  1. yh that wouldnt be good
  2. It would be my first forum trip, and I should be able to come. The weekend after my prom
  3. Well I went on this 4 times on wednesday. I have to say the actors were really drab. And as I did go by myself, I did get bored in the queue the 3rd time round, so I did a bit of acting myself. I did a hell of a lot better job than those actors. They all looked so bored. Whilst I was in the queue I didnt hear a single person scream, until ofcourse I started my little scare show . I was wearing a long black coat and a black hoodie, so I blended in quite well with the actors. Some of the actors also decided it would be fun to go in the baggage area and muck about scaring one of the collectors. They were messing with the lights and everything. I was in that queue waiting to give my stuff in for about 5 minutes, just waiting for these clowns to stop pratting about. Honestly, actors :oHad a great day on saw though
  4. Today was actually quite fun. I found that it was boring at times, but I was listening to all these randoms so called 'theme park knowledge'.I also found that the actors in saw the ride werent very good. 2 girls I met there agreed with me, and as I was in my long black trench coat, and when it started to rain, I put up my hood on my hoodie, as it was stretched, I looked like one of the actors, So I did a bit of scaring myself I think at around 5:35 one of the actors, who was talking to the attendants in the queue instead of scaring people, whilst I was scaring people. When he finished his chin-wag, he decided to tell me to take my hood off, because I was doing what he was supposed to be doing But yh overall day was good, met 2 people and were now mates so I think it was quite good
  5. Point taken my friend. Anyone going Thorpe Park later on today (13th obviously) Okay thanks anyways, ill have a nose when I get there
  6. Could do, but would anyone be able to go at such short notice? theres another problem.)Also does anyone know, can you get 20% discount off fasttrack with the merlin pass? (sorry for goin off topic)
  7. Basically guys, I'm going to Thorpe Park on wednesday (13th April 2011) and my mates have ditched me at the last minute. I have a merlin pass and I will be going, but how would you recomend I spend my day at 'The Nations Thirll Captial'?
  8. Ooooo Me likey the sound of this I think ill try and get the racks actors attention. I scare people quite a lot at school, they think I could be jigsaw when I'm older, just because I spend my life tlaking about the franchise might have a convosation with an actor or 2, get things flowing Why did they change the loading into the building. I liked it when you could queue u in there, especially when it was raining hope the actors will be the the ride on wednesday.
  9. Did we have anyone in the rack trap?

They say they kept bumping into dummies. Only places I can think it being on it would be the electric path way or in the frezer. I say this as their the only places I remember with dummies

Went on opening weekend and as I stumbled into the th13teen shop, I noticed they had weegie boards on for sale. :-S tad bit dodgey imo, but if people really want to buy them, I say let them
  13. I agree with your mates, I recon twisted pictures and lionsgate would find a lot of probelms with it. But I recon they aint metioned it on the coupon because its probably had that many bad reviews its just an embarresment. Sorry if anyone finds my opinions a bit demeaning
  14. Rush doesnt go upside down though. I personally would love saw with the lapbars, but there are a lot of people in the public who will only go on a rollercoaster that goes upside down with the overhead restraints. How ever fun it could be, the overall factor is, will they get enough people going on it.Not likely to happen though

What I mean is, the floor in the elevator is basically a larger version, its the say mechanism in the maze, just the mazes' has been made smaller, where there is a piece of flooring detatched from the rest with the mechanism which moves it underneath, much like the floor in the CATCF elevator. It does, but sometimes people go across either to slowly or to fast to feel the effect, because they time it to go off every now and again. I went through it once and I didnt have it go off, but it does move.
  16. jjh123horry replied to Marc's topic in The Past
yh, it moves, it works on the same principle as the glass elevator section in catcf at alton towers. I shakes from side to side, making you feel as if the electricity is running through your body, making you shake
  17. jjh123horry replied to Marc's topic in The Past
From what I've heard it didnt work then. A lot of articles I've read have all said they never felt the electricity in the room, they just heard the effects and felt the floor move, that is all. A real shame, that thorpe came up with that idea, but it didnt come to pass
  18. okay, thanks. Lets hope it rains
  19. Just curious. . .I'm planning to go opening weekend, and I know it should be quite busy, because its opening weekend, but does anyone have a rough guide as to what it would be like from previous years? Thanks

As far as I can remember, yes. Because its supposed to remind us of the 'Venus Flytrap' scene from SAW II, unfortunatly, I think it would have been better on the roof, and a sensor would trigger, setting a light off so we get a quick glimpse of it, and we hear the sound fx's of the trap going off. Also thorpe, get rid of that bloody rock music, it aint needed!
  21. jjh123horry replied to Marc's topic in The Past
Yes there is, as you go up the path from the bathroom, and turn left, right in front of you on the wall is the words 'LOOK CLOSER DETECTIVE MATTHEWS!'. I only just noticed it when I was in there, because I was at the front, and I decided to go a bit slow, and see if anything would scare me, which I have to say, nothing did. But yes there is paint on the wall
  22. jjh123horry replied to Marc's topic in The Past
Very true, I think that the overall scare depends on the acting skill, but if the scene doesnt correspond with what we should recognise from the films, the actors persay cannot act in them, in the correct way.For example the electric room, yes very good and it gives us a feel that jigsaw is trying to stop us, but if the billy doll wasnt in there, or the red paint saying 'LOOK CLOSER DETECTIVE MATTHEWS!', I wouldnt of had a clue that, that scene was supposed to be from SAW 2, and if you did have any actors in there, which there never is, they too could find it had to act in as, they would never have actually seen how said scene would have been acted out, as thorpe have just created it from scratch. Also good point about the 'Pig Masks' ThrillSeekerMatt, I have noticed in all the times I have been in the maze, only once has there been someone in there with a Pig Mask on, which I feel is a bit of a let down, as how are we supposed to feel that Jigsaw is coming after us, when all we have is people, who are in the midst of getting killed, trying to kill us O_oI think thorpe should have just left it alone and not created it, because, it was and still is a complete disaster.

Thing is when they jump out, they dont scare people most of the time. People can work out where they are most of the time, because they make that much noise before you even get in the room, that you know they are gonna 'get' you and try to scare you. Unfortunatly, there way of scaring people doesnt exactly work
  24. jjh123horry replied to Marc's topic in The Past
Very true, very true. I doubt thorpe would be able to actually make it scary. I feel that they should just do what they do best. . . Roller Coasters. And leave all things scary to those who know how to scare people. Cant think of anyone off the top of my head. Heard there was someone at the park at fright nights, went round as a clown and scared loads of people. Hmm who was he? . . .
  25. jjh123horry replied to Marc's topic in The Past
Bit harsh imo. Well I mean it is a bit on the sad side, but if they got the right people who work at a rate that is feasable whilst giving a brilliant show, I think it would have been brilliant. Also get rid of those half-wit actors, honestly their dreadful. Do auditions for people and who ever can actually scare people the most, use them. And bring the special effects back, that would definatly boost ratings at bit more, if they worked properly or the special effect make-up artists were brought back. Please Thorpe Park, Be Nice
