Opening Times
Although Thorpe Park is busy, I must say I have been pleasantly surprised on each of my visits so far this year, when the longest I have had to queue is 70 minutes (for SAW), when everything else has been under an hour. I remember last year in the Summer was very busy, queues were looking towards 2 hours for some attractions. Even if the park is going to be busy all day, I do very much like the idea of having longer opening hours. August times 9.30am - 8pm I think are great. I don't usually stay until 8pm, but I like the fact that the extra time is there if I need it.

Has Anyone Had A Close Shave?
Was the person who kicked the shoes found out by the ride team? Usually when something like that happens, the person is given a severe warning by the ride op.

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
Glad you had a good trip Tim, just a shame about what happened. While we're on the subject of Queue Jumping, I saw the "Zone Signs" in the SAW queue last week, and wondered if they were new? I can't remember seeing them before, but it's definitely a good idea - so that security can get to the problem much quicker.

Detonator
I don't mind it when the queue is a walk-on, but Detonator especially has an extremely small capacity for each cycle, and the queue usually takes a while longer than the time advertised anyway. It only really annoyed me last week, it was 5.45pm, the queue was advertised as 5 mins, and I had to be out of the park at 6pm. We didn't get out of the ride until 6.25pm, mainly because of the fact that the ride operators were playing games etc, which added time to each cycle. When you join a queue that is advertised as 5 mins, you expect it to be 5-10 mins.

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
Really?! Wow. :)A very good trip report though. It's good to see a relatively high ride count, and glad you had a great day.

Terra Mitica Trip Reports
Agreed, a very nice trip report. It's nice when so much time and effort is puts into a trip report - because it certainly pays off. I would really love to visit, some of the rides look very good.

Chessington General Discussion
Thanks for the advice.Another question.... are all the shifts all day? Or could there be the chance of doing shorter shifts, such as 9am - 3pm etc.?That way, I could get home before 6/7 o clock. Also, I am going into year 11 in September although my other part-time job is only in the evening (usually 7pm onwards), so this wouldn't be much of a problem.EDIT: I've just been looking on the train ticket website, and it turns out that the £8 return fare is only on trains after 8am, which will be no good for me. I would still like to work there, so I suppose now it's just a case of waiting until I can drive - which then the journey time is only 50 minutes or so. Oh well, it's only around a year and a half until I should be on the road!

Chessington General Discussion
The train fare is £8.00 off peak for a day return. I would be leaving at 7am anyway, so I would be entitled to off-peak prices. The only thing I'm not too sure about is the 2 hour journey each way, although I suppose if I just plug my ipod in, I won't get too bored. Also, the train has 2 changes, so it's not like I would be sitting on the same train for 2 hours. The journey means I would leave home at 7am, to be on park for 9am, and get home for probably 7pm, that is if I finish at 5pm. This day (7am - 7pm) would earn me just over £38, which I would be more than happy with, (considering I already have another part-time job).I keep thinking that it is rather impractical, however if everyone just did everything that was the easiest option, the world would be a boring place!

Quantum
I hadn't ridden Quantum in a long time since the other day. All I could remember was that it was an ok-ish boring ride that people go on because it's one of the few rides in the park that always has a short queue. I couldn't have been more wrong! I loved it last week, it was so thrilling and fun to ride. I went on it 2 times in a row, and once again later that afternoon!

Opening Times
I suppose it does give me something else to do during the February half-term, even if most of the rides are closed.

Chessington General Discussion
Yes it is. I have one quick question, I would like people's opinions on. I would love to work at Chessington, and on the train it would take me 2 hours each way, and cost me just £4 each way. Do you think it is worth it to apply for a job there?I sure do.

Park Music
I have no idea, although the only song I know of that is remotely related to that is "5,6,7,8 - Steps", which is played as part of the current Logger's Leap loop.

Has Anyone Had A Close Shave?
Someone decided to kick their shoes off of their feet whilst at the highest point on Detonator a few weeks back. The ride operator had a really big go at them over the console when the gondola returned to boarding position. He had every right to, it was such a dangerous and stupid thing to do.

Opening Times
It's a waste of time for me, going to the park when I arrive and most of the rides are down, including many of which are supposed to be "available". It's not a waste of time for the park, they get the money rather than just having the park sitting there until March.

What do you want to do when you grow up?
It's much easier than getting a job at Thorpe Park for example, due to the sheer size of the Disney corporation. Think of all the jobs needed to run just one park, let alone the many other attractions.
-
Opening Times
Good! It's a waste of time.

Roller Coaster Tycoon
You can buy it in any game store, or online etc. It should cost you around £10. On amazon.co.uk, it's £12.99.

Stealth
Yes, people have mentioned before that they have heard it from staff etc, but is this statement actually in writing from Thorpe Park?I think Thorpe know that rollbacks can and will still happen, although they may have tried what they can to prevent them.

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
I don't think Thorpe Park has its own time zone, therefore I would guess that yesturday it was still light at 7pm.

Thorpe Park trip plans
I only started doing Stealth first the time before last, and it was the best decision I'd made in a very long time. 6 re-rides without having to return through the queue-line! (4 of which were front-row).And, we were the first and only two people on the first Stealth train for that day!

Stealth
Stealth seems to be slipping up a lot more frequently this year than last, with minor technical delays etc.
