I have to say this ride is very good - possibly one of my favorites at Alton Towers.The theming and music is top notch, and the story works so well. Made me want to visit the tree afterwards which my girlfriend and I did when we went for a walk around Alton. The tree is very eerie and chilling, my girlfriend didn't like it. ST

Thanks again for all your help.I contacted Guest Services on Monday regarding my picture frame and by Friday I had recieved a replacement frame undamaged by post.I have to say thats brilliant customer service. Really want to go back again now!!ST

Hey everyone,Just to let you know I'm back from my birthday trip to Staffordshire.My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at Alton Towers - the place was empty!!Enjoyed all the rides espeically Hex (weird but well themed) and Air (my girlfriend couldn't get enough of this ride!).Got a few onboard photos and a Oblivion hoddy that looks great! Ended up doing 2 laps of the park - longest que was 15 mins for Rita.Unfortunately my Oblivion photo was damaged coming home to Sussex I can save the photo but the card frame is bent and torn, I would like to get a replacement card frame, any ideas how to? Such a shame for this to happen - Had such a great day!Thanks for all the tips, really made the day successful - cant wait to go again!ST

This post has proven to be extremely useful to me and anyone else going to the park soon.So thanks everyone who has participated in this topic.I'm planning to leave at 7am in the morning - stick the cruise control on and let the car do the rest!!Mark 9 - The roadworks you mention on the M25 - are they recent?ST

Good to see there's some local people on here! Lol.Thanks again for all the useful tips, I'm really excited to be going. Really interested in the hex ride, looks fun. There might be a simple answer but how do you get to the entrance of the park and is there only one entrance/exit?I say that because I've just had a look on Google Earth and the car park seems some distance from the entrance, I did not some monorail system,any information would be greatful? Fingers crossed the weather is good that week. Thanks ST

We're travelling from East Sussex (near Eastbourne) on Sunday morning. Not going straight to the park though!! Cant blame me!!We're camping at a site about 10-15 minute drive from the park I'm the driver but I'm so use to having long days in a theme park then driving home - luckly this time it be to the campsite!ST

My girlfriend is into mainly rollercoasters and done all of Thorpe Park and loved it, don't get her started on Disneyland Paris!! All the effects were working inculding the blades on Sunday.My first time on Saw was Sunday, very good ride, theming was spot on (cant beat a well themed ride - adds to the atmosphere).All I would say is that the inside needs a little bit more lighting to truely to see the effects. Also I was surprised on how many breakdowns it can have in a day!!Got there early - went for it as my first ride within 15 mins of opening, it was brokendown!Good ride!ST

I really enjoy this ride, have had so many laughs on this ride with my mates.The music suits the ride perfectly but that little tunnel section of the ride is so weak!They could of done a brilliant themed internal section for the ride for example you travel over bubbling lava (water with lighting).Apart from that great ride!!

Cool .I'm based in Seaford so not to far away from Brighton ( I always thought Brighton is East Sussex, meh!). Brighton is my University.ST
