  1. Oh, very strange I think we'll have to agree to disagree :PWhat were other favourites for you guys?I absolutely loved RoTM,
  2. James6 replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
I agree, it's definitely an improvement, however in my opinion it's still an average ride in a diabolical location with an absolutely terrible queue.http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs342.ash1/29253_10150220269890417_546350416_14034099_3216481_n.jpgQuite a good picture of the new look ^^ And the new ORP case etc, I can't find a picture but it looks good and just has the new logo on.
  3. There are a lot of options really, with hopper and double passes etc, I can't actually remember the one I had when I was in the states. And I must say I didn't experience this at all with Hulk, yes the second half is not as good as the first, but it certainly isn't bad. Was it because you found the MCBR trimmed or... ? As that is something that could have changed since my trip.
  4. Air

James6 replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
Air does quite often have minor breakdowns that are more often than not sorted with 10/15 minutes.
  5. See, I absolutely loved Hulk, that and Kumba were tied as my favourites. And actually, I was really disappointed with EE.Water rides, I personally put Splash Mountain, Dudley Do-right's Ripsaw Falls, Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges and Jurrasic Park: River Adventure all tied as my favourites.
  6. ^ Agreed, All 3 of the rides you mentioned, are simply flawless in every aspect.
  7. James6 replied to Sheepie's topic in UK Attractions
What do you mean themed correctly? Is there a "correct" way to theme? The theme of the ride is restoration work of the Towers, hence why it looks ruined/dilapidated and also is the reason for the scaffolding.I really have no idea what your trying to get across...
  8. James6 replied to Sheepie's topic in UK Attractions
What... ?So it's poorly themed because if it was built in a certain way, the way it was not intended to be built, you think it wouldn't look right? Also, if they were going to build it completely, they wouldn't make it look weird.I am so confused, it's such a pointless, and incorrect statement I don't really understand what your trying to get across. Your criticising bits of the ride that aren't even built?
  9. James6 replied to Sheepie's topic in UK Attractions
^ I do agree, there is a lot of different things sort of thrown together with no apparent meaning or purpose. It is strange how there is a theme but just no coherency to it. Like I say, what is there is great, especially the station and crypt, there's just no meaning to it. And whilst I understand there is not always the need for all the riders to know the story so the ride relies on it, but a bit of continuity is needed in my opinion.
  10. It really is a fantastic park with great theming and just generally a huge amount of fun :)Loved it, Master Blaster was immense
  11. James6 replied to Sheepie's topic in UK Attractions
See, whilst I'd have loved for the ride to be longer, it's still a LOT longer than most rides, especially in this country. And that is part of what gives it such a ferocious pace, I do think the coaster section could have been longer but it wouldn't have added a huge amount to the ride. And also where was the theming poor? In my opinion, what is there is great, there's just not a huge amount. Although as MikeyT has pointed out, the black cloth is simply embarrassing.
  12. James6 replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
Wow...From what I can make out, it looks quite different more so than I expected, and actually really, really good :)Thanks for the picture, if the whole station is in the same tone as that, it will look brilliant.
  13. James6 replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
That man is an absolute legend :)Really looking forward to seeing this for myself next week.
  14. ^ To be honest I found Spiderman perfect and is my favourite ride, better than any coaster in my opinion. So it's going to be hard for Harry Potter to beat it, either way it's going to be unbelievable
  15. I am also trying to hide myself from the new ride as I am going next year, but still allowing myself to see the other attractions and queueline, how amazing is that Flight of The Hippogriff (POV in link above)That animatronic looks so real and it's movement is amazing, add to that the audio etc and it looks a great ride. And also, notice the ride teams out there dispatching the trains so quickly that even on a ride as short as a roller skater, the 2nd train is on the lift before the other is entering the break run. Amazing
  16. James6 replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
Yeah I know , I just didn't know what to call them, fine "row dividers" But yeah, if only people had common sense these days...
  17. James6 replied to Cringle's topic in Nonsense
Airtime, if only we had more in this country.Kobra or Cobra
  18. James6 replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
^ You can definitely see why that was, themed air gates, more cobwebs, darker, lighting all the same colour, and also trains actually themed to the ride. Also, is it me or can I see mist/ a smoke effect in between each row gate?
  19. ^ Indeed, if that doesn't show them how popular it "could" be, nothing will. But I agree, they had some great actor placements last year, for example a guy who popped out from behind a wall with a spade and smashed it on a metal bin, never been so scared in my life.
  20. James6 replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
Sounds brilliant :PAnd so glad Vampire is getting at last some attention, now if only the track and supports got a re-paint.
  21. It is Duel from opening till 2 or something, and then re-opens an hour later at 3 once it's been transformed into Duel:Live, every detail is thought of though and even the rides boards outside change, as well as the logo's on the ORP's.
  22. It pretty much turns back into a Haunted House, and is much better for it. It's the only time of year it has a queue. In fact sometimes at Scarefest it's up to 60 minutes long (the queue not the ride )
  23. James6 replied to Theme Park bloke's topic in The Real World
    *James6 is pissed off*
  24. Ah Duel: Live I don't care how many of the effects have been fixed at the moment, that ride becomes phenomenal at Halloween when those LED's and guns are switched off.
