Colossus
I agree, Colossus was insanely loud on friday (not that it's a bad thing ), Much much louder than I remembered or thought it had been before.

Colossus
I agree it's bumpy and vibrates a bit but it's a fantastic ride and luckily don't find it the least bit painful. I don't have to "brace" myself to enjoy it. I do think however it would benefit from some new trains that are a more comfortable and some better restraint's so more people enjoy it. On Friday when I visited Thorpe with some friends they loved Colossus but said they thought it was a bit uncomfortable, strangely though the bit they found painful was the end "barrel roll" bit where they said being continuously chucked into the restraints hurt there shoulders, didn't mention the cobra roll or anywhere else strangely. They said it didn't detract from the whole experience though.

Queue Times
I was thinking yesterday after my visit to THORPE what I would be prepared to Que for the rides and why and thought it would be interesting to see what you guys would Que as well. I haven't seen another topic like this so my apologies if there has been one.So... :PSAW: 90 mins, I just love SAW and I think it's one of the few rides in the UK that's a complete package, Que line, Theming, actual ride and it's not over in 15 secondsColossus: about an hour I think, The only other ride at THORPE I think is worth quite a lengthy Que as again I feel the ride is quite long especially compared to some others.Stealth: 30 mins , Absolutely Insane and amazing... while it lasts. I just wish it had another airtime hill or an overbank turn or just something.Nemesis Inferno: 50 mins, I like Nemesis Inferno but for some reason I never get that excited about riding and its usually, if I have to miss one of the Big 4 , the one that gets left out.Detonator: 40, I love detonator , Don't know what else to say :DRush: Again I absolutely love Rush is in my top 3 non-coaster rides along with Samurai and Detonator.Samurai: 60, My favourite Flat ride, Still can't believe I haven't been on it this year!Vortex: I like Vortex but I don't go on it very often as it usually has a long Que which moves slowly.Zodiac: 5 , Don't like it and think it's a waste of spaceQuantum: 10, I absolutely LOVE Quantum Slammer: 45: Forgot about this in my top 3 flats, this is definitely number 2 but again I still haven't ridden this yet this year as I've been 3 times this year and 2 times it was closed all day.Loggers Leap: 30 , Good ol' Plain fun Tidal Wave: 20 , Will only ride if Scorching ( like Yesterday:) )Rumba Rapids: depends, The other week it was Brilliant with ALL effects working , but yesterday I don' think ANY were and the first third up until the tunnel was just a slow boring run to the tunnel.X:/ No way out: 5, and that would only be if EVERYthing else was above 20 ( even Quantum)So Post yours

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
Yep definitely When first walked in the amount of cars in park and the Que length to get in seemed near identical to in Easter half term., Like I said before , how does one ride change a day that was Walk-ons last year into almost hour Ques for the main rides!? And good to see our Que times are pretty similar , Some rides I only passed a few times so Just put that. And Interesting to see at the start of the day we had a pretty similar layout/ride order.

Top 10's
Couldn't go down to 10 ! and the reason for most of mine over English ones is that the rides overseas really do give you a ride that however long you Que is worth it, Is there any ride in the UK with a MCBR? Not like on SAW's I mean like one on an Inverter or something like that. Note I couldn't think of the order to put them in apart from the 1st one :P1.The amazing (literally Amazing) adventures of spiderman- Islands of adventure2.The Incredible Hulk coaster- Islands of adventure3.Popeye and Bluto's bilge rat barges- Islands of Adventure4.Saw-The ride: Thorpe Park5.Nemesis- Alton Towers6.Kumba-Busch Gardens7.Revenge of the Mummy or whatever its called: Universal studios8.Simpsons Ride: Universal Studios9. Gwazi- Busch Gardens10. Expedition Everest11. Big thunder mountain railroad- Disneyland resort Paris12. Tower of terror- Walt Disney world Florida

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
Just a tad :PStill a long way to go though

Stealth
Just think , even if you don't like it ( you definatley will like it though ) It's over in what , 15 seconds? . And if you can do SAW which In my opinion is a much more intimidating/ scary ride then Stealth should be easy peasy lemon squeezy ( do all the cool kids still say that ??? )

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
Just got back from having a fantastic day at THORPE. Was there from about quarter past 10 till 3Was slightly disappointed to begin with as the same time last year was walk-on almost everything and the business surprised me today. Anyhoo went straight to Colossus and really just couldn't be bothered with SAW, After Colossus went to Stealth to find its down so did Nemesis Inferno which was a lot better than I remembered it , then went back to Stealth and then detonator which is still the only ride in the park that gives me the exact same rush everytime and the only one to scare me. The rest of the day was made up of Rush, Loggers Leap, Tidal Wave, Rumba Rapids, and re-rides. A brilliant day but once again the best part was probably the company I had and wasn't because of the park. One thing that annoyed me was the incredibly slow dispatches the second time I qued for Nemesis Inferno , This was due to guests to the park consistently trying to take off trainers to ride and people trying to ride with there bags... , The board advertised 30 mins but turned into about an hour which wasnt great as I needed to leave by a certain time and this meant I was cutting it seriously fine. Also Rush's loading was quite slow with quite a long amount of time in between each ride which I think was because there wasn't enough staff working on it with the staff actually working on it having to do multiple jobs. Ride Count:Stealth x 1 average Que ( about 30 mins I think)Nemesis Inferno x 2 ( about 30 mins again)Detonator x 2 ( 20 mins)Colossus x 1 ( went up to 80 at one point but averaged at about 50 I think)Rush x 2 ( 20 - 40 mins) Loggers Leap x 1 ( only saw it once at about 12 when it was 15 mins)Tidal Wave x 1 ( 20 mins) Rumba rapids x 1 ( 10-25 mins)A couple of others but cant remember. Overall a great day but how is one ride bringing in SO many people to make a day that would usually be all ques below 15 mins at least to a relatively busy day.Was an absolutely swealteringly hot day today

Oblivion
I wouldn't say that! , Oblivion is World class I agree and I love it. But I do prefer SAW. Although I really wish that with SAW they had made either the coaster part of a higher quality or made it a dark ride (Something I feel Thorpe is desperate for) that doesn't try to be a coaster , maybe a few drops like the first "hidden" one.

Samurai
Looks like theres still life in Mighty warrior . Fingers crossed there's no more holdback's which delays opening till past friday !

Stealth
This Yorkie challenge.... What exactly is it? Something about bluetooth? It said on the poster if I remember correctly to activate, I tried this and nothing happened. Anyone been successful with it?
-
Samurai
Damn that doesn't look good . and I'm going friday aswell , again with a few people who've never been to Thorpe and I told them that Samurai was the Best non-roller coaster ride

Oblivion
Sensational is the only word I can think of describing it. I've been on Sheikra in America and that didn't give me the rush Oblivion does every time. It's intimidating, even after you've been on it a lot. But you'll regret it if you choose not to ride. I went with a friend once and he just went whiter and whiter as we went through the Que and he really was soiling himself. But half way down the drop he smiled and laughed the most I had ever seen anyone and straight after he wanted to go on again. ( for your information my friend was scared of going on Air!)
-
Rumba Rapids
I thought that but in pictures I've seen it before last year I think. and I may be wrong but wasn't the rock itself always there, they just added the "water" part to it last year?
-
Oblivion
Ha . (For your info If you can do Rock 'N' Roller coaster you can do Rita easy and I think Rock 'N' Roller coaster is 60 mph) Anyway sorry for going off topic . I know Oblivion has a stupidly high throughput like 1,900 pph or something like that , But whenever I've been lately it seems unpopular, In the Easter holidays Air and nemesis were between 45 and 60 ( Rita was at least 60) and Oblivion was walk-on, Great for me but just made me a feel a bit sorry for old "Blivvy"
-
Rumba Rapids
Just a guess but maybe for the same reasons as the power shower? But then again if that's the reason then you cant really have any water effects as there's always going to be people who stand up to avoid them, unless they added lap bars!
-
Oblivion
Your scared of Rita ? I've always thought of that as a family coaster ( and also don't look forward to it otherwise you'll be disappointed)Out of interest have you been on Stealth ?

Colossus
When I went the other week Yes both trains were in operation but loading was painfully slow at times
-
Colossus
I agree and I can see why you are shocked, I was aswell when I saw it happening and yes Thorpe park is probably the only place it would ever happen , especially with a 2hour+ Que!

Colossus
Just been reading the Vampire topic and it has reminded me of something that happened on my disastrous day the other week. After queuing for about 50 minutes for Colossus a group of about 5 people (chavs) just jumped in through the Colossus fastrack without fastrack as there wasn't a member of staff manning the point where the Ques merge (By the way this happened when the Que for Colossus was completely full and back to the entrance, Maybe 2 - 2 and a half hours?) . Throughout the day I saw a few other groups of people attempt to do this but I am unaware if they succeeded. I was furious about this as wouldn't this mean even if you had fastrack you could just go through as many times as you want as noone would be there to rip your little ticket thing?

SAW: The Ride
On the blades improving the experience, My first two rides on SAW neither the Blades or blood squirting thing were working the last two times I've been on they were and they really do improve the experience, My friend on his first time on SAW , looked at the blades and just freaked out like "whats gonna happen? , where do we go there's no track? , we're not going through them!" . Was amusing to say the least

Samurai
ah ok , thank you . I was wondering what did mondial do to Samurai over the closed season this year? I know it went away but I wasn't sure what was done.
-
Samurai
Yes I just saw! , First time I think I've EVER seen it on the Thorpe website! I think its the only ride I've never seen down when ever I've been at the park.
