The actual ride layout looks very good for a dive machine, in that it actually has a layout past the first drop (unlike Oblivion).

It's better than a Topspin conversation! That's just taking the worst example of the ride type though, that does look dire.

Yes but if Thorpe did the job properly then it could be good. It doesn't have to be a huge investment, but small details and nice theming can be done cheaply - I know Blackpool's isn't a great comparison as its got scenes from all different years, whereas Thorpe's would be all new (obviously). It doesn't strictly have to be a Ghost Train though, it could be a similar ride but with a specific theme or just another small scale dark ride.There is a place for a small scale dark ride at Thorpe, they only have one and that's a coaster anyway.

But it would be a perfect small step to take toward the 2016 dark ride. Also, it would add another dark ride to the lineup which Thorpe needs desperately.

I'm not on about a fair type Ghost Train. There are plenty of ghost trains that take up little space yet are done to a high quality - see Terror Castle at Fun City, Brean and Ghost Train at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

To be honest I would prefer an overhaul of Rumba, Loggers Leap and Colossus (which all desperately need it) to a new ride next year, but in the way of investments a Ghost Train really isn't much at all (if done on a small scale), yet it can still be really good. Plus they are announcing something and I don't think that an overhaul would be something that they would advertise.

The Saw queue used to be okay, but it just looks like a dumpyard now and I hate queues that stand still for ages and then move rather than a continuous flow. Not to mention the usually mediocre ride at the end of the queue.

They could have had a woodie called Saw though - actually would have fitted better.

Yes but there is a clear difference between stopping and starting in a normal queue and stopping for 10 minutes and then moving (which I hate). The Swarm should have had a different system implemented by now, as the current one is a joke.

I have and it's not fun, but it's only ever happened to me once (possibly twice). Plus, you can lift up your feet on Loggers but there is no avoiding it on Storm Surge.

The Storm Surge rafts have a lot more water in then than the Loggers boats. They need a water vacuum to use in the station.

I'm on about the constant dripping from the slide, not the water flowing over the chute - although that is a problem as well, I've seen it hit people! They could put up a barrier to stop it going over the side.

Actually I've been hit by water in the eye on the Stealth bunnyhop before! But there's no excuse for a ride to leak as much as Storm Surge does. Have you seen the puddles on the path, even on a non-rainy day?
