  1. HELP! I am trying to model Thorpe's Entrance. But I have only found a few photo's online and I really could do with some entrance photo's. Anyone got any or know where I can get some, as Google Earth Street View has not mapped the entrance!!!Ideally I need photos of the left and right side of the entrance building, as I have found a face on picture of the ticket entrance. I think there are toilets either side, but cant find any pictures.Cheers!
  2. I'm going to throw a spanner in the works of the speed calculations peeps. 'Trim breaks'. Oh Gawd!
  3. Well, I learned something new there!!! I really thought that they only built the U.S facility to cut costs in shipping huge amounts of steel out from Europe! I find it incredible that they construct the steel across the pond and ship it over when they could produce it in Europe.Exciting to see the track for sure!!!!
  4. Hang on, I thought European B&M coasters were manufactured at B&M's plant in Switzerland! Confused!!
  5. Right, it has been a little while, but I have been busy. Go over to my warehouse and I have just uploaded the latest addition to the park, Tidal Wave. Along with this, there are a number of smaller themed items, including the Heat Wave drier, Amity Water Tank, vending machines, the Stealth Diner and Storm in a Tea Cup!They should go live on Google Earth next week sometime.
  6. Hmmm, does not bring much up on Google!? Did he make that up?!
  7. Check your PM Ian. Thanks for all the great comments and expect more to come over the summer.
  8. Thanks Lee. So I am currently working on Tidal Wave, but I don't have as much time at the moment as I have done recently. I would love to do one of Colossus soon, but will find it hard to produce 3D models of rides that are not represented by street view, ie, rides that have been installed since 2009. Unless Google earth decide to update the street view soon, I wont be producing ride models post 2009, it is just too difficult and I don't think Google would except the ride models based on the 2009 imagery. But, there are plenty more models that I will be working on, so stay tuned!
  9. Last time I looked there were no aliens or space ships on the plans so I would not worry. The only element likely to be alien/sci fi tech based will be the ride itself. I love the look of Raptor trains, so if we get something like that it would be amazing.
  10. So, what happens in 101 days then? That puts us around mid Aug. So maybe an official announcement of ride and name to coincide with the track arriving?
  11. I take it you haven't looked at the plans then? PlansIt does not go underground, but does go under parts of the themeing and over water. It does not look like it will launch in any way, as the plans suggest a basic lift hill like Raptor.
  12. That is not quite right, there are in fact only 4 inversions, the inclined loop is more like a over banked turn and not classed as an inversion.
  13. OK sorry, but your comment makes it sound like the past few additions have not succeeded!I think we can expect the same quality of theming on LC12 as we have seen more recently on SAW, but on a much larger scale. Its all very exciting!
  14. Oh come on, I don't understand where all this lack of Theming talk comes from! The only rollercoasters at TP that has only a small amount of theming is Stealth and X. Inferno is one of the best themed inverted coasters in Europe (When the volcano works!), Colossus has some amazing aztec sculptures and buildings, and SAW is one of the best themed rides in the UK period! If we are going to talk about lack of theming on rollercoasters, then visit Alton Towers and tell me how Air, Oblivion, Sonik Spinball and Rita compare!?!?
  15. Enough of this infernal drivel! On the naughty step the lot of you.So back to LC12, I just had a thought that got me excited, in that B&M will be welding steel for this ride as we speak! How exciting! Somewhere out there, our beast is being created!Did I read somewhere that proper ground work will commence in May?
  16. Really? Does Nemesis and Inferno make your legs feel painful? I love inverted style coasters where your legs dangle!!!
  17. This is great news! With all the depressing news this year, this is something to really look forward to. As far as the budget, well the plans been approved, there is no tree removal or possible landscaping surprises as it is a blank canvass, so hopefully we should see the plans come to fruition! And May 2011! Get ready for construction photo's!!!!
  18. So we could find out if planning has been granted within days. Very exciting. Anyone else noticed that over at RCDB.com, they have recorded that LC12 will have 5 inversions! Sorry if this has already been mentioned, only it has been a while since this topic has been active. Looking at the plans I can only see 4.
  19. Update time. So additions this week include the Entrance Dome, Time Voyagers and food outlet, Stealth's Tyre and Inferno fencing and Entrance themeing. I am just finishing off Vortex. Someone has already done some of the flat rides as they are on Google 3D warehouse, but they are far too complex to be added to the 3D layer, so I am producing simpler versions for Google earth. Expect Detenator and Colossus coming soon.
  20. OK guys, new update, Nemesis Inferno is now live on Google Earth, I have included the games hut situated in the middle of the ride as well as the Ride Shop. I have a model for the ride entrance and fencing that is almost done, but am reluctant to upload too much fencing as there are a lot of polygon faces. Also, you will see the new X No Way out pyramid has gone in, and I am currently working on the entrance dome, which should be ready to upload tomorrow. We are making some headway now! I may start working on Colossus next week, but that is going to be a big project and will take a few weeks.I have also thought about trying to model the new 2012 coaster using the plans we have. Thoughts?
  21. Saw The Ride is now live on Google Earth. Nemesis Inferno is undergoing some revisions! Enjoy.
  22. There are a few areas that I have to add some artistic licence, but I try to stick as close to the real thing as I can. Glad you like. Planning my next model as we speak.
