We still haven't seen a video with people on the ride and we know it has been made.

An interesting article about X Flight has been posted on the Village of Gurnees website. It shows a new rendering of the ride which seems to show a large theming element under the first drop. Love the station and glad to see that the eagle isn't on the roof as in my opinion that would have ruined it.

The plans show a shipping container as the shop and I'm not dissapointed about the lorry, I was just expecting it to be a useful food and beverage unit (as shown in the above image) instead of a game stall that will have staff shouting do you want a turn, potentially ruining the areas atmosphere.

Dissapointed that the over turned lorry will be a games stall but it looks great. Is that a new restaraunt/food stand at the entrance to the island?

The October/November opening times have beeen released on their website. Halloween will be held from Friday 26th October- Sunday 4th November 10am-8pm so no need to worry about budget cuts, yet...

I'm also going to this years AP day. After the chaos of the previous events I'm glad merlin have opted for a pre book system as the park can be prepared for a certain amount of numbers and run rides with the necessary amount of cars. Should be a good event and can't wait to attend.

I do wish they'd add the skyride though as getting from Rita to Nemesis is really annoying.

Halloween Hocus Pocus is Chessies best event. If this has been scrapped due to budget cuts Merlin should be ashamed.
