I'm not aware of this at Chessington. I attended a Sunday last September which was just after 9.30 and there was no sign of running rides.
-
The ORP was not back then but quite late on (mid 2000's some time) and very short lived (as it was crap).
Much like detonators perhaps.
-
Really? I thought that was fixed for 2013. So much for 2013 improvements.

**trying to be as modest as possible** I actually think my idea is rather good here, although it is a bit too over dramatic, I think a horror themed X could actually work. The name is just random and I think my theme actually fits well with the old name. If you guys don't like it, I will just design my own 'no way out', as described in thrill palace in future.
Only those who are nice to me get free entry
Parts of the idea could work very well during fright nights.

Merlin logic/ exaggerate queue times so more people buy fastrack.

Can't say I like the supports very much.
-
They really show how much the ride's appearance has changed.

I actually think the lights in the 'arena' bit look really, really good. It's a shame they kept the block brakes in as I still feel it kills the flow of the ride, but it's nice to see it's received some TLC, just would hope in the future the club music will play throughout the whole arena and not just in the queue line.
The problem with that would mean the throughput would be a lot worse in what's already not too high. I think it ha 4-5 trains.

Two good ride choices IMO. Crash Pad doesn't sound as bad as I was expecting.

What I hope is happening/ Chessngton will revitalise ageing rides to their former glory (or near it) and they will look excellent again.
What I expect to happen/ Dragon falls will receive a minor repaint with only a dragon and lone Buddha remaining will mine train will be out in the open completely.

Vampires queue seems to be getting worse every year. They need that third train back badly.
-
The advert is very compatible to the old Legoland's ones they used. Over hyped, americanised, fake and artificial.

My ratings,
Nemesis 1st, a classic coaster that would still be a hit even if it was built 19 years later.
Swarm 2nd, impressive theming and unique first drop
Oblivion 3rd, the drop is impressive as well as the atmosphere and build up.
Inferno 4th, decent substitute to nemesis and an exciting ride. But not as original as other coasters and lacks story line.
Air 5th, pleasant interesting ride however gets unfomftable after a while.

Here's a quote posted by someone on Chessie's fb page.
I see on Dragon Falls you've now lost the wonderful stone faces from either side of the drop, and rumour has it that the dragon tunnel is gone too. Combine this with the removal of the mountain range a few years ago and it's now a very bare and ugly ride! Do you plan to replace all of this?
They've hit the nail on the head. However hearing about the tunnel going (like loggers) is very concerning.

Doesn't look too ad at the moment.

Each have had their own little setbacks, all suffering from weather conditions as well.
Lego also suffered as they refused to close waterworks early to allow construction to commence. So, to prevent complaints last year they've caused a wonderful delay this year. Least it's not an attraction worth complaining about.
Except Fairy Tale Brook is closed for refurbishment.
-
It was certainly an improvement from yesterday althoughVampire,Fury and Rattles were closed again though.
-
This looks absolutely shocking. This is definitely worse than what's happened to Loggers, the ride is an eyesore without the rocks. If Chessie don't rebuild the rock face and structure, dragon falls is going to look horrible.

Pendragons Plunge or something I think. It was removed recently I believe.

Photo co. theme park guide.
The rides starting to become filled with water now which clearly means, Falls will be very bleak theming wise for 2013 at least.
