Judging by how run down the ride looks these days and also the car model out side being removed as well, I can't see the ride having too long left and can see Chessie replacing it in the short term. I could see a splash battle or geruster junior coaster (probs spelt wrong) replacing the ride.

I think it's Ramesis is still in Chessie, because it means that there are a small number of thrill rides in the park. Certainly not enough to be on the likes of Thorpe or even towers but the right a lance. Secondly, it will prove a good stepping stone for peeps wanting to be more adventurous and wanting to go to Thorpe Park.

Looking what's going so far, it looks an amazing project and that theming should hopefully turn a collection of average 2nd hand rides in to something exciting.

I remember being in Spain a few years back and there was Minced meat that went off a while before it expired and went a black colour. It was horrible.

Sounds yucky. As for expiry date, it depends on what food it is and where you buy it.

Merlin logic/ use dark colours like grey and black on all new roller coaster track colours so we don't need to bother repainting it after many years.

My top ten
1/ Nemesis, legendary coaster that is world class
2/ Swarm, brilliant theming and immense drop
3/ Oblivion, The drop is epic,
4/ Stealth, The launch is amazing
5/ Dragons Fury, fun thrilling family coaster
6/Saw the ride, excellent first section and atmosphere
7/ Colossus, Thorpe classic sadly let down by an unfomftable ride
8/ Rage, short but sweet, a great little coaster
9/ Nemesis Inferno, great looping ride for beginners,
10/ Thirteen, average 1st half, immense 2nd

I would expect the coaster to go on the island near Swarm (possible island A) as the other one is currently occupied by Snoozeboxes.
I would like the 2015/16 coaster to either be a woodie either like Megaphobia or Outlaw run which a looping woodie may be more coherent towards Thorpe's main audience. The only other ride type I would really like would be a hyper coaster (possibly B&M).
I'd like it to have a theme more of adventure or purpose than typical Devastation.

I 'd say Vampire's throughputs have been going down hill since 2009.
2009, Exit rider queue resulting in the two back rows removed
2011 (after summer) decommission of 3rd train
2012 increased selling of fast track

I think it's time I introduce myself. My names Matt (Matthew) and I have been a member of TPM properly since march 2013. Although I actually joined late 2011, I somewhat lost access to my account after a few posts (mainly about the CCR) and then decided to join up again under my original account following the news of Logger's shocking tunnel removal.
I've been strongly interested in theme parks and the like since I was around three and regularly visited Thorpe & Lego land which I thoroughly enjoyed each time I went. Many years later and I'm still heavily interested in theme parks and other attractions and visiting other parks such as Chessie , Alton Towers and Adventure Island.
The are still many parks I wish to visit around the world including Disney Land, Europa Park and loads more.
Other than themeparks, my main interest is in Music and play Piano, Drums & Oboe and hope to learn more instruments in the future. I enjoy playing a series of different styles as well as being involved in several music jobs and opportunities when I'm not riding roller coasters and the like. I'm also hoping to learn several pieces of music used in various themeparks too.
Thanks for reading.

I'd say it would fit in a Uk park although perhaps not Thorpe who I can't see getting a top spin. The ride actually reminds me a bit of the Rack and Energiser for some reason (though I haven't been on either).

Sounds like a great improvement there, hopefully now I can see if rides have a 90 minute queue without going right near the entrance.
All they need to do now is replace the park queue information boas around a the park which the old ones are gone now. The one that was near Inferno didn't work for a long time.

As a newbie and one attending this trip, I eventually had to negotiate my father about this trip and after some persuasion and reassurance I made to him as well as showing him the meet plan, he eventually agreed to me attending.
My advice is explain to them completely about the meet.

Brer Bear
Brownie or soufflés

First went to Chessie in 2006 and then stopped going in 2008 but have started going again since 2011.

Storm Surge is Definately the worst ride at Thorpe. Even rangers carousel is slightly better . As for Rumba due to it being a stape themepark ride and being built on a concrete axe, I can't see it being removed for 7 years at the very least.
What needs to appen with Rumba is the theming and everything needs to be completely stripped down and then returned to a more adventurous ride. Increasing the water flow, more interactive elements and an interesting feature in the tunnel (also a lick of pain too) and that in my view would already make the ride much better.

That's ridiculously slow. Chessington really need to speed their dispatches of rides up this year.

This is the kind of comment that should have been taken to guest services straight away so the member of staff can be dealt with. Unacceptable attitude from someone supposed to be providing an enjoyable day out. No one should ever be forced into having a photo taken of them.
Exactly, there are people out there who don't like being photographed regardless of the occasion. The only accretions pass ports and the likes.

That scaffolding cover looks awful, the only advantage of the way it's done is it blends in withThirteen.
-
The rides operations clearly are getting worse. I also don't get the point of exit rider queue.

Yes, this happens to me aswell! I am typing and then suddenly it comes up with 'you have been kicked from the chat room' and I have to refresh. I always come back in asking who's kicked me and no one says they have but know I know why
I do use the mobile version quite a lot though!
I also find this finds this happens to often too after I leave chat for a few minutes.

So it seems now Merlin's intentions of getting rides to a certain capacity or throughput have changed to them reaching a certain queue time instead. :/

Judging by the ride so far it already looks ten times better than Storm Surge and even beats Dragon Falls too at the moment.
