  1. It sounds like you have to visit the park to unlock special things for the game. That twisted metal is looking insane! The black and yellow colour scheme will look great as well.
  2. Is it me, or is one of these five ways of 'messing with our minds' just some over-sized plastic syringes? Looking forward to seeing what the theming will look like when it's up.
  3. I suppose it fits in more with the almost 'light-hearted' scary theme, hopefully it will look awesome once its all up. I'm guessing we won't be seeing anything like this going in for another couple of weeks?
  4. It looks like they've tried to throw as much as possible onto those legs! possibly slightly over the top! Where do tower's keep finding these 'psychologists' to help design their rides?!
  5. That video used to freak me out when I first got over the 1.4m height! haha! The game is pretty cool, although a bit easy. hopefully the ride will look as good as this, with some of the cool effects as well!
  6. Sorry if it's been mentioned already, but the face on the website now flashes with statistics. Highlights are four rows of 4 steats per car, and a 30 metre drop! http://www.altontowers.com/2013/ edit - had already been mentioned! I have been following the thread for a while and must have missed it, oh well!
  7. It is a shame, I think I only ever rode black hole about 3 times, all in it's last year of operation (due to height issues). Have you been on swarm? I'd definately not agree with this, it might not be as elaborate as some of the others, but the attention to detail is brilliant. They really have put a lot of thought into swarm.

    SAW: Alive

I went in Alive last tuesday, and it was pretty bad to say the least. I only really jumped at one point, and it wasn't even that scary. There is just something missing in alive, it's quite hard to put a finger on it, but it doesnt have the right atmosphere to genuinely scare you.] Also, some people have blamed money for the attraction closing, but to be honest, I think that it was just because it wasn't working anymore. I don't think people were scared before, during, or after going on in it.
  9. I just got back, and I got slightly wet from the fire engine. By slightly wet I mean that my hand got wet, but still, it did surprise me! Great ride though, the first drop is brilliant, and despite the long queues there was a lot of detail in the news reports on the tv's. There was a great bit in the queue where you go up into the church tower and the ride come through over your head, combined with that earie 'swarm sound'.
  10. Ah, thought so, cheers!
  11. Quick qeustion, I'm going to TP on the 10th and I've got a bounce back ticket. How do I use it? Can you use it just like a normal ticket?
  12. Well it's the same as any other pizza hut, so I'm sure it would have salads and pastas. I'm going on tuesday the 10th
  13. Did you see this section?'The risk for rock stars branding theme park rides is that on the rare occasions where a roller-coaster malfunctions, with customers injured or worse, the band’s reputation could be tainted.'I'd hardly call that a risk. This whole 'test dummy' thing seems to be making everyone think that rollercoasters are dangerous.Anyway, I'm loving the new adverts, I was hoping to have something like the bike video, hopefully we'll get a few more ones similar to that!
  14. That's what I always thought. 'Swarm' being more than one, I've always thought of it as a swarm of alien insects destroying the planet, kind of like the film 'The Day The Earth Stood Still', where there is that big cloud of insects destroying everything.I wasn't expecting those gates, they look brilliant!
  15. I think we need this http://glennmcanally.com/sarcastic/ ;)I hate celebrities riding it first. The first ride of Thirteen was on ITV with a reporter on the front seat. She screamed like a 2 year old the whole way, and then didn't even know what made it a world's first at the end, AFTER riding it!
  16. Yeah, they are doing a good job of getting the ride known. I'm hoping for some Thirteen style adverts on the tv soon!
  17. Well, I was a girl at school reading it in the study room earlier, and before I said anything, she said it was fake and all around a bit stupid...
  18. Exactly what I was thinking, when you are inside, you will first get that sense of 'safety; from the devestation outside, and then you hear that sound and look up to see the alien up close and above you!Amazing job TP!Also, how long do you think until we hear from lez telling us the swarm has had it's first sighting?
  19. Wow! cannot watch that enough!t flies beautifully through those inversions, and it sounds great. The roar as it comes down the first drop and under the plane will create such an atmosphehere!
  20. ^ no we won't, we'll be facing forward
  21. I'm really looking forward to this! The trains look brilliant, and combined with the superb theming, and that awesome, smooth B&M track, I think it will be a contender for the best ride in the UK
  22. I know, I just passed my driving test, so I think an inbetweeners style road trip is in order! (Hopefully I won't lose my door though)
  23. I'm not that fussed, both have advantages and dissadvantages. But with the rain, I think it will create a better atmosphere inside the church. And as it's already been said, you're already wet, and going to get wet on the ride anyway.
  24. Just to put it into question, where does it actually say there won't be a roof?Because looking at the construction so far, The main beams completely cover the roof. I assumed that it would have a full roof, with maybe a few holes and gapshttp://www.facebook....&type=3I shall check the plans...Edit: I can't really tell, allthough it does appear that there isn't a roof. I was hoping for at least some of the roof still remaining... Oh well
  25. How did it manage to crash there? I know there are some awful drivers out there, but really? Into a church?
