  1. My best bet is that these are being used to boost the two day tickets. Thorpe needs to prove to Merlin that it needs a hotel, and the way they currently plan to do that is by promoting and upselling the two day tickets, and bouncebacks. I think these are being put in to help promote that "Come back tomorrow for X amount more, plus stay on site in our snoozeboxes". That way, Thorpe can prove it needs the hotel, and then these abominations can be removed, thankfully.
  2. The only problem I can see is that as there is so much local competition, the hotel is going to have to have an amazing unique selling point. There's travelodges/premier inns/BnB's/etc in all of the local towns (feltham, sunbury, staines, chertsey), some with fairly cheap prices. So what is going to be so special that guests choose it over one of the alternatives? Except for the fact you are right there at the park of course :PRJ
  3. I always find it a little sad when it's primarily the ride staff who get all the praise. I can understand that they are they people that we interact with most, whether they are singing along, or just being generally enthusiastic, but what about everyone else? What about the guy or gal sat in their ticket kiosk, or food outlet, who served us with a smile? Or the person who did their best making sure the park wasn't a total tip :PMost of the staff I've encountered have been great, but I must admit that I've seen a few get treated horrendously... I remember back on the AP day last season there was a lady shouting at a girl for not knowing how to get to Saw. The poor girl had obviously just started, and being in an F&B unit, she didn't technically need to know. Yeah, she probably should have had some basic knowledge of the park, but that's still no reason to shout at someone.Ah well, will be nice to see how the new recruits do as soon as the park's back open :)RJ
  4. I like the idea, but what would you expect from the tour?Personally, I'd like tho see more tie-in themed events. Like how Legoland had the star wars event(s). Just little things during the year to change things up a little. RJ

I thought the land opposite was part of Penton Hook Marina. Surely the grass car park isn't utilised well enough to justify buying more grassland to convert into more parking spaces :/RJ
  6. Like it's been said, you shouldn't be able to apply through the PeopleBank system, but it's always worth a shot. But if you aren't going to be eligible for work until June, I'd say wait until the applications for summer work appear. And I believe at 16 you can work in Rides, but you can't be a ride operator. Kind of understandable really :)RJ
