I don't understand why everyone is so negative about everything that is going on at chessington this year. All the latest topics seem to just slag chessington and the way things are being done. Agreed that there are some strange methods of doing thing and they seem to waste a lot of money of pointless project. But until the park has re-opened and we can visit and decide for ourselves. give them a break.

the boiler is being used again, with similar fxs but put in a different position

In a really good way, the ride looks bigger, and has had a complete paint job on the track supports

I had a sneak peek today, after my assessment, and I think everyone is going to be very surprised with what they are doing to the ride.

They were fine in Creaky Café, But totally agree should have not been used in the Grotto

Completely not true, Yes it was to do with a heater within the creaky café. But the reluctancy to invest in indoor heaters is untrue. The heaters used were general heating withing the eating area, I remember visiting this year and they were on, but out of the way, high up in the ceiling. Theses had been used for many year in this location without any problems from past visits. The problem was with the Ents team not keeping the area tidy, and using a little common sense .

Bubbleworks is all fine, except for the back wall of the fountain finale that backed on to the creaky cafe

The money being spent on the refurbishment of the park is completely different to the minetrain and dragon falls, remember in the summer chessie announced a £5 million refurb. Same as the hotel extension. Completely different pots of cash for these projects

Carousel cant open at the moment, as there is major refurbishment works happening in the market square, they are completely ripping the area up, ready for something new??

Seastorm, Bubbleworks & Hocus Pocus available for Christmas offerings. Also a new Santa workshop & Santa meet and greet in creaky cafe

Instead of all being negative, perhaps it might be worth waiting until some official announcement is made. You all might be very surprised in whats in store.

I was speaking to one of the rides staff on Saturday when I visited, they told me a lot of other things that is happening ready for next year

No they are not re-theming HPH for Christmas, this is back to its original state, they are using a different location for the Christmas walk through. But HPH is now open every week the park is open and through the winter season

So far its only Hocus Pocus that is open, they cant open any more rides as the rest of the place is a building site

Visited chessington yesterday, and found that the park was extremely busy, q`s for the bigger rides were over 90min long and the haunts had very long q`s. The evening was fantastic with the usual amazing lighting around the park. It seems that this gets better every year.

A Mystic Manor style walk through, with a Hex style ride at the end would be great

It reopened today, has anyone been on it, what is it like?

Hopefully it will be really good, I was in the park on Thursday and it seems that Halloween lighting around the park has increased this year. Is this done by contractors or is this done in-house?

Skyway, Toadies & Zufari so far will close at dusk. The reason for closing early is all down to money.

They haven't worked properly since last year, its all to do with cutting costs, and not caring what the customer thinks. If it wasn't for a small group of staff that cares what the public wants, nothing would be working correctly.

The third train is in the engineering workshop in pieces, they are having to use it to keep the other 2 trains running
