TBH I'm fine if its quite busy, after going on the busiest day last year and on a day when all the schools were there, its safe to say a slightly busy AP day won't really bother me.
-
General Public do have annual passes too!
It depends how they do it really, if it is the same weekend as the Chessington pass weekend and you can't bring mates for a fiver then it'll be alright.
I meant the GP with out them.
-
I wouldn't think it would be packed as the GP won't be there and the weather we've been having at the moment would probs put off more people.
-
I think the barfed up mix of wood and steel And hoping for the best is the best way to discribe this thing. It's like it doesn't know whether it wants to be a steel coaster or a wood coaster... It's just odd.

the designer of the some of the stuff you see at Legoland, has died, seemingly in a suicide.

I'm going with a few good friends in a group, I'm looking forward to it.

People are still going to ride a ride with lots of inversions. They are not going to say its Colossus with less loops so lets not bother going on it!
Yes but like others have said its not unique enough, and if its only purpose is to be a multi looper then what's the point having it there with Colossus, unfortunately it doesnt have a unique selling point and the 2 other B&M's in the park are also floorless so to speak so it would be really pointless it being there.
-
The rest of the structure is wood apart from that bit, but then I suppose if the RCDB can class Hades 360 as a woodie, then that is still a woodie, however stupid it might be.

I think he is implying more of the general area, he might be talking about the theme park, although I wouldn't really call towers that run down, more thorpe and chessie. Anyway back on topic, as this will turn in to BPB argument mkII, I can see them just leaving it to rot until they rip the whole thing out, which is a shame.
-
Looks like a pig stye though!
Amen. But anyhow, I'd much rather thorpe make their park look presentable, rather then ignore it and chuck an IP in there, cough cough angry birds!
-
Would love to see a ride like Maverick at thorpe personally, could theme it really well, high throughput and could fit in a gimmick or so to keep the appeal to the GP.
I think you could fit the Hunger games thing that people were saying about if they wanted to do an IP again, which seeing as they are introducing Angry Birds land this year is very likely.

Ohhhh, well I'd never heard of it and if its closing down, that is probably why lol

What the hell is segaworld, is this some new theme park area in merlin I dont know about!
-
Got a source for that?

EDIT:oh wait a sec, thats just showing the pack, lol, that is just what I have heard from people when I went to alton on the weekend.
Double EDIT: the source is actually on the same page a little further down so yeah, the source is there.

BPB isn't tacky at all, it just happens to be in Blackpool (can't comment on this, haven't really been anywhere in Blackpool apart from attractions). Yes BPB used to be tacky, but it's had huge overhauls and facelifts in places and other small touches here and there, it's now the nicest looking park of the lot!
Well I wouldn't say nicest looking park (The towers across the lake is the most beautiful IMO), but it definately isn't tacky inside, outside on the seafront on the other hand....

Not exactly original, is it? 10 years ago there was this...
...which does the same thing, only better (if you'll excuse the poor quality of this upload). The Guetta thing sounds like two tracks stuck together, the bit that isn't bang bang (which is pretty good on its own) and the bang bang bit which doesn't go well with it and feels like it is just stuck on as a bit of a gimmick.
It's Guetta, it'll probably be massive.
Exactly, the critics had criticised it because of it.
And if you were wondering it's currently at number 6 on the live charts so yeah, your point is true

Space Mountain is rough, but it's no Baco... At least Space Mountain can potentially be fixed by getting the new Vekoma trains, is relatively well-themed (it WAS so much better before the Mission 2 crap), and isn't constant pain-inducing...
Baco is THE worst ride I've been on, Bakken's Tornado a close second... In truth, they are equally as bad as each other, but one has to win (or lose depending on how you would receive the worst ride award)...
I rode both twice (not a few times, myself and Mark refused to even with no queues), Baco to get an inside seat after the initial outside seat ride (and use our front row Fastrack thing, upon which it promptly broke down), but for both to see if they were as bad as the initial ride made out... Multiple rides are sometimes needed to double check opinions, and I do so when I can (didn't for Sequioa Adventure and Mean Streak because queues would have been involved, and I have better things to do than queue for god-awful rides)...
My next visit to PA will involve me staying as close to the B&Ms as possible, and only going near Baco to walk past it...
Tornado would be a good ride if it didn't launch I reckon, but Intamin thought otherwise... Both rides are evident of Intamin's poor design process in recent years (see also, retracking a year old ride), which is why we'll never see another version of either built again (Skyrush being an evolution of Baco because it's THAT bad)... And clearly the majority agree it's rubbish, otherwise why else is it the only one in the world?
I do agree with that, and the general consensus of skyrush is most like it so thats progress, I suppose everyone saw the B&M product and thought that was a better model, although they will eventually die out like stand ups.
-
I got that point what I'm trying to say is that, it doesn't deserve that moniker when there are much worse rides out there, like space mountain, I hate it with a passion, but that is really with most sit down vekoma's, you like it, I'm sure benin will agree its not the worst but it is a very, very crappy ride bar launch.

Why was it so bad then, was it because of that let friends in for a fiver and the fact it was only on 1 day not 2?
