Wow James that seems strange reading that - I forget you are now cracking on a bit (just kidding!) hope you enjoy the bar work!
I'm still out of work and hate it - my anxiety and depression have been ongoing for a long time now. For the past 6 months I have done cat fostering for Cats Protection which I have enjoyed to the point of adopting my foster cat - I should have been adopting the 2 that I was fostering but sadly one of them had to be put to sleep 2 weeks ago after several health problems. Now means I won't be able to foster other cats but I have said that I am very interested in helping out the charity in other ways.
I really should complete my Aromatherapy course as it means I could work as an aromatherapist but I started the course back in 2005(!!) so I don't know if they would even allow it (I have had a lot going on since 2005 - moving twice, losing my mum, recurrent health problems etc) the course does specify that you can do it in your own time but maybe 11 years is taking the pee?! Frustrating as I only have one unit left to do and then a practical.
Bah
Thank you Han! I'm really enjoying it so far!
You should definitly ask about the course, give you something to do in your own time and keep your mind off things!

Put me as a maybe for this! Won't have an AP though, so it depends as I'll be paying rent for a place that I won't be living in till September xD

I don't envy retail workers since this bag tax has been implemented - have respect for anyone that works in retail anyway (having worked in retail myself and dealing with a-hole customers) - my younger sister works at Tesco and has had on more than one occasion a barrage of abuse thrown at her because bags are now 5p - it's 5p dammit - are people that tight that they get worked up over 5p? It's not retail workers fault at the end of the day - oh and people really should decide whether they want a bag before they finish paying - bahhh
I agree with this, it can be horrible, I've only worked in retail since being in Wales and the bag charge has been in place for a while and it works fine now, I just make sure to ask the customer if they want a bag. I think it's just people don't want to pay it at first but it'll just become common place in the long run!

Not really exam results, but I've completed quite a few assignments for my first year of my uni course, and have achieved 1st and 2:1 quality in all of them so far, so I'm really happy with that, got about 3/4 more to go now.

Not the first time the internet has called me a Sexy Cake
I was also a sexy cake xD

So I got my A2 grades, today, lower and higher than what I expected in the subjects, but I've got into my insurance choice uni! Which tbh, was growing on me and I did want to go there equally as much as my firm. So in 5 weeks time I'll be moving off to Cardiff and setting up my life for the next 4 years!

Hello I'm Josh,
I am the biggest fan of detonator on the planet.
That is all, sorry for sounding cliche!
Welcome to the forum! Hope you enjoy your time exploring the depths of the forums!

I would also like to thank you all for making yesterday brilliant! Loved my first ministry of sound night, although if you asked me that this morning, I would've said no (recovered from the pain now) Can't wait to meet you all again at some point!
-
Hey guys, do you think I'd be able to show my ticket conformation for the MOS part on my phone, or does it have to be printed?
-

I've not been to any meets for 18+ months and am thinking about joining this one (if okay), would be good to see people again especially as this date is one where I could use the company - only up until 11pm so no clubbing/drinking for me (getting too old for it) and also I would need to leave at 11pm anyway
Yay Han! Will be great to see you again!
Also, I have a reply about the reason why tickets have dropped in price. Statement from the response 'The reason the prices have dropped is because we have a low level of demand for our Ministry of Sound events, with not many tickets being sold. This has led to a drop in price to try and drive the demand up because, as a business, we are looking to increase our sales volume and revenue by selling as many tickets as possible. We dropped the prices to incentivise sales.'
Also, the tickets were sold on a no refund basis, so unfortunately you can't get back the extra money that you paid.

I was smart and booked the weekend off haha
-
It's never too late to join a meet haha, quite a lot of people join a few days before hand!
It'll be good to meet you
-
What?! I've paid £20 for it already do you think there's anyway to get a refund?
-
Who would love / hate me for bailing on the club part?
YOU MUST GO! Joke, it's up to you!
Already booked my ticket for the club part!
-
Guess I'll announce my attendance then!
Oh yes! First time since 2013 Fright Nights! I'm coming back to Thorpe Park!! AND added alcohol this time!
I like this! I shall be able to get drunk with Lima! xD

Do magic pass holders get the discount?
That's a good question... one that I wouldn't know the answer to
-
Ahhh, I have figured it out! The subtotal excluding VAT is £16.67, but then you have £3.33 VAT added ontop, which makes it £20 in total
-
Nah they are £16 for AP holders at least that is what I saw on the website.
From the website, £20 for Annual Pass Holders
I wouldn't hold your breath on that one, last year it cost me £9 for two small bottles of Magners and discount wasn't available.
Does anyone know if tickets are on sale for this event yet?
And yeah they are on sale, as I have shown above!
-
Hmmm, didn't realise that the MoS tickets were £20 for AP holders! I thought they were a lot cheaper!
They better give me free booze for that xD
