  1. That's the spirit That's what I meant with the 'for now' part. For now Chessington have no plans for any major refurbs with the Bubbleworks, so for now the ducks are the only theaming the ride has, so for now it's better to lump it.
  2. But then all you'd be left with would be some bubble machines that are never turned on and a fountain finale. Depressing as it is for now, we need the ducks.
  3. ....'Coolcabbage43 - Scream Park Updates and Scream Park Music' is a bit much to type tho.
  4. That would explain it then, I only visit during the set up never during the actual event. Thanks for clearing that up.
  5. God I hope they haven't got permanent damage, how horrible.
  6. These jokes are bearly original.
  7. Oh that's right the actual Fright Nights are only the weekends, I keep forgetting that part. Those are the days I'd expect people to face the rain, mainly for the prices they're paying.
  8. I wouldn't bank on that, fright night visitors know they're going to get autumnal weather. Plus it's Thorpe Park, most visitors are planning on getting wet.
  9. Near as I can tell Samurai is still less unreliable then Slammer or even Rameses Revenge, and if they're not going anywhere anytime soon....
  10. Didn't they use higher fences in the past as well?I feel like they were definitely taller then me last year.
  11. WWH, I only got to ride it once because I was such a little puss. Of course I grew into a horror fan only to have it burn to the ground. I'd ride that thing all day long if it still existed.
  12. It might just be because I'm getting really old but The Director seems like a young lad.
  13. I guess there's a difference though, between the actors merely screaming at you or actually describing in gory detail how they're going to dismember and murder you. And then there's props, I couldn't see free-roaming actors in Chessington crouching in the bushes pretending to nibble on lifelike corpses.
  14. I didn't realise it was legal to run without independent safety reviews.
  15. If he complied a survey of legitimate failings then surely he'd have no problem getting the park shut down?
  16. I thought the Saw syringe pens were a great idea and loved the way they put them in big tubs to look just like the pit from the movie. Well done Merlin, you can be really innovative when you're trying.
  17. Well it was definitely quiet but not empty. After lunch there were a lot more people from the 18-25 age group suddenly about. All the same the big coasters all seemed to stay under 15 mins queue time. Samurai had a pretty big line but then it did appear to undergo some downtime. Was quite amusing counting the amount of Rumba Rapids boats going round empty and the guy running the teacups methodically sweeping to kill time.
  18. Ah good, I do enjoy a nice empty theme park.
  19. I think I'm going on Thursday, can I expect low capacity?
  20. Personally I would find it brilliant if periodically during Fright Nights the Chief Ranger carousel played Freddy's music-box theme...from Five Nights at Freddy's.
  21. I know this question doesn't go here but I thought it would be even worse to create an entire thread for something so trivial: Thorpe has lots of games but does it, like Chessington, have prize every time games like the hook-a-duck? Thanks in advance.
  22. You know that big area they just cleared in market square would be perfect for water jets in the summer. Example
  23. Thank god I picked up a Halloween Hocus Pocus pop bagde last month, now it's retro.
  24. Just found out that all the posh private schools already broke up. So that's the mystery solved.
