  1. How busy is the park likely to be during it's opening week in March? I know weather will play a factor but typically is there a surge of people when it first opens or does it take time for crowds to build?
  2. I definitely don't remember any real bubbles back before the refurb. But then that wouldn't have made sense. The bubbles were gas bubbles in soda pop, if soap bubbles ever came floating out of your Cherryade you'd be quite disgusted. The animatronics in theme parks have gone the way of animatronics in movies. Now we get flat, lifeless pictures instead of tangible creations.
  3. I remember the organist that rose out of the stage very well. He made the restaurant as big an attraction as the Bubbleworks itself. I even swiped a shoddy picture:
  4. They can slap whatever humdrum new name they like all over the place, I will always call it Count's Cauldron.
  5. Thank god. Sir, today you win the Internet.
  6. The news that they may well have binned the amazing haunted trees from Counts Cauldron has sent me into a dark spiral of depression.
  7. I dunno, if they try to batch me in with two annoying kids and a bald guy I'm going to the back of the line.
  8. Is it just me or does this whole attraction give anyone else major Jurassic Park vibes?
  9. They won't re-theme the restaurant though will they? I mean the BK stuff will be gone obviously but they'll still have the haunted trees and such right?
  10. We had an escaped Reindeer yesterday! I'm not sure if it got loose while being moved or if it actually broke out. Around 11:30 there were groups of staff with walkie-talkies running around the front section of the park. They were blocking off the paths and we even got gated into Hocus Pocus hall. We could hear them talking about 'containing it' and 'capture poles'. As they kept looking towards the zoo we thought it might have been a lion or Gorilla Then we spotted them down at the reindeer enclosure trying to calmly block a pair of antlers. After that it all calmed down, definitely got out moneys worth for the excitement though.
  11. Is there such a thing as a predictable quiet day during HHP?
  12. Probably not. Schools and colleges are back now so you'd only have Uni students and random visitors going. Add to that the weather is predicted to be pretty naff that day, you're looking at probably 15-20 mins wait for the most popular rides.
  13. I always swore I'd never go back on the BubbleWorks after I saw what they'd done in the re-vamp. But last year it occurred to me that although the magic had been gutted at least the location and some of the ride was still there and that I should be grateful I can still go to the place of so many happy memories. And the way I felt about the old ride is the way my nieces feel about the current one, and that makes me really happy that they have that too. And then when they're bigger I can explain to them how their version is crap in comparison.
  14. Hey guys! I'm a first time poster, long time lurker. So sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but about how busy, in your experience, do you think the park will be this Monday? Am I kidding myself hoping it will be quieter the week schools go back or will everyone have the same idea as me? Typically I drag my family off late September, missing the school children and beating the Halloween event crowds, but this year my niece starts big school and I don't want to risk going in the October half term and getting poop weather. Thanks in advance.
