I know but my polls are more exciting I forgot about this and have just realised, the poll is CLOSED and a new ride will be added soon! Extreme scored a miserable 23.81%, the rides so far aren't doing very well!

On the old system you couldn't actually see what the queue time was because it was faint, and it was flashing and half cut off. Unless you actually went right up and squinted you wouldn't be able to see the queue time. Which is why I am glad that thorpe have installed new ones

Wait so your mum doesn't know you are going to a TPM meet? I haven't even asked my mum bcos I'm scared she will say no but I'm not on the list yet anyways... I guess I will have to ask her soon!

Just a note to anyone in TPM who is at secondary school and is gay or bisexual... Don't let these comments put you off, as me and Peaj have both said, secondary school is a cruel place. Don't let others who tease you or make fun of you about being gay put you off altogether because everyone is their own person and people are different sexualities. So don't let some of those horrid people in your class get to you! Be strong and don't drive yourself into depression because of a couple of nasty people.I guess I am starting to have sexual feelings now I have moved onto secondary school, in primary school everyone is relaxed and no one is oriented around a certain sex. I guess it changes over time but I am starting to have feelings for a certain gender. I am not going to say this however as I am still unsure and it is early stages however I have been talking to jamesC and sidders and they have really helped me come to sense. I guess time will tell but I think I know what sexuality I am although I am not going to vote until a later stage.

I have been following this topic for a while and I now I feel like I should post something.... This is why I think so many people fear coming out... Everyone is school makes fun of 'gays' and if you are gay or bisexual you don't want to come out infront of your school friends because they will make fun of you. Even because I have a 'camp' voice people make fun of me at my school but I just get on with my day... Luckily there are some people at school who are absolutely fine with people being gay however some people are really against it- they will make fun of you, spread rumours about you etc. that is why I strongly advise you only come out to people you really trust.

So if I selected a bounceback for 21st, could my friend use it?
-
This is actually to do with my chessie trip on the 15th but it also applies to the thorpe bounceback aswell so I thought I would post it here: If you buy a bounceback ticket(anytime) can your friend use it instead if you or is it named etc? Thanks James

Just to point out, thorpe park isn't open on Saturday 9th November!!

So many people on youtube are saying how X is completely ruined. I have not ridden it yet so I cannot make my judgement but I kind of agree with the people on youtube- although there were reasons for X to be upgraded, the original concept is ruined. The concept is that it is 'worlds first backwards coaster in the dark' and now this has been taken away. Even though the new X is better, I feel X has completely lost its concept. X no way out is a rubbish name for the new X. Even though X is a bad name they can't call it 'X no way out' when it resembles nothing to do with it being no way out. I think the new name is better but thorpe should really adopt a new name for the pyramid.

Quote from facebook: "They was still fixing rameses this morning but tonight I heard them trying it out and no scaffold so might be ready for tomor x" I am presmuing that when 'Claire' is saying she heard them testing it, she meant 'saw' them testing it. Hopefully it will be ready in a couple of days now that the scaffolding is down. Can anyone confirm that the scaffolding is ACTUALLY off?

I am desperate to ride a topspin and I guess I will just have to wait for a long time to ride one. I would like to do a 'funfair' topspin as they have more intense ride cycles and I am hoping that one turns up to villacher kirchtag.I guess the faffing is annoying, not that I have ridden it, and the long wait between the first and second cycle is a pain, however this can not be solved as some people want to get off. I think that rameses is coming to the end of its days anyway...

You have to do a Halloween event- they are just fantastic The mazes are very scary and can reach up to about 2 hour queues. The rides can reach up to about 3 hour queues- depending on what day you visit. In the morning, it is generally empty but as the day goes on, it gets busier and busier, and by night time, the queues are absolutely massive. Even if you get fastrack, it doesn't seem to help as you still have to wait an hour to get on the ride with a fastrack. Overall I highly reccomend it, because the rides in the dark and the mazes are amazing, however if you want to go to thorpe/alton with no queues, Halloween events are not the ideal time to go. Overall, fright nights(thorpe park) is generally better than scarefest(alton towers) as it provides more of an 'experience' so if you are choosing between the two, I would reccomend fright nights.

The ride cycles last at least 5 mins... Does anyone know when it's going to be open again then? I really badly want it open for the 15th- just like EC I have never tried a topspin before!

I'm sorry but rumba is way better than storm surge... All thorpe need to do is actually make the ride experience better. The effects should be turned on etc. and then the ride would be absolutely fine. If the water jets were turned on it would be great and if the mini- waterfall when you entered the tunnel work it would make the ride SO much better. I would also like the front- end of the tunnel to be improved as its general appearance is slightly lacking...

I so badly wanna ride this but now I'm visiting on 15th it is probably going to be closed! I always have back luck with rides- every time I have been to thorpe slammer has been closed! I need to ride rameses revenge and I guess I will just have to wait until later in the year to ride it- unless it is open again of course

Right guys, today I thought I would tell you about one of the best funfairs(in my opinion) which exists today. It is called villacher kirchtag and is from the 28th July to 4th August 2013. It is a traditional fair with folk dancing and music but also features a fairly large funpark. The funpark is quite expensive however due to the long ride times you get on the rides(some being around 10 mins) you feel satisfied for your money. The funpark is a great way to get your thrill senses going and is very fun and exciting. The funpark has a great atmosphere. There is also a wide range of food and drinks avalible as well as traditional gingerbread. I am advising you to go and visit this wonderful event This is one of my annual funfairs, and it is certainly my favourite, as it features some great attractions and is never busy, resulting in long ride times. Best of all, it has some of the worlds most thrilling rides. Although the 2013 line up is unconfirmed, in the past the funfair has had some amazing attractions, such as rocket, a starflyer which flips you upside down and well as spinning round, and jungle river, a fantastic log flume. However, the ride line up changes every year and we won't know what is coming until nearer the time, so I thought I would give you a taster of what some of the rides are like: http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.villacherkirchtag.at/3-Auf-einen-Blick/18-Attraktionen.html&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dvillacher%2Bkirchtag%2Bvergn%25C3%25BCgungspark%2B2012%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dsafari&sa=X&ei=90hkUbDwKYbF0QXxm4CQAg&ved=0CEYQ7gEwAw Sorry about the long link, it's just a translated version of the 2012 rides list. The funfair features some classics such as tagada and breakdance as well as some extremes such as sling shot and no limits XXL. I thought I would just give you a rough idea of the prices, and whilst it may seem overpriced, the rides are amazin and you get massively long ride times! Ghost train, tagada- 3 Breakdance, crazy mouse- £3.50 Chaos, sky rocker, magic- 4 Xtreme, outbreak-4.50 Booster-5 Panic-7 No limits XXL-8 Sling shot- between 10-15 The prices change every year and may go up and down so sometimes you are disappointed but sometimes you are really pleased! I love most of the rides but chaos really got to me: we had a massively long 10 min ride cycle with 5 SETS of full swings. When I got off I felt like I was about to puke Anyway, I reccomend you guys to visit this funfair if possible, as it is amazing and is definately my joint favourite funfair with dusseldorfer rheinkirmes. So visit, and enjoy

The lost city needs a serious refurb... I think all the flat rides should be replaced with different rides or newer models of the existing rides. I would like to see samurai replaced so it can run faster, rush replaced so it can be back to the good old days when it was reliable, vortex so it could actually spin and zodiac should just be replaced all together- with a topspin The only good flat rides at thorpe these days are detonator, quantum and rocky express

You are kidding me right: If it takes THAT long just to check some doors by these slow staff, I can't imagine how long loading takes!
-
That totally explains why she was so pushy and demanding- trying to get as many photos as possible for picsolve. I never realised it was all run by different compaines, because the uniform is like a disguise. I can now see why the staff at the games stalls are so eager to get your money as well.Speaking of bad customer service, on the same day as this sea life encounter, we went into the arcade. We were playing this game where you had to shoot the ball downwards into the hole. We managed to get the jackpot and only 5 tickets came out. We went over to complain and got this staff member who was really annoying and said 'the machine works' and left us without our jackpot. Typical staff who don't want to give their prizes away but later on we had a nicer member of staff who showed us how to play a game because we didn't understand how to play. He was very friendly and helpful- I guess at chessie it is just a mixture of nice and horrible staff!
-
It doesn't make sense to me how these things are happening then! Surely merlin should hire better staff? As for the staff themselves, some of them are very rude and ignorant
