  1. I remember the announcements, although they were terribly cliche sounding. I've always thought Storm Surge was an eye-sore to be honest. It's such an RCT plonk-down job in the middle of the park. More themeing could change that but would it be worth the investment?

Just painting the supports and planting some plants would make it better! And that would cost £200 MAX!

  2. As with all of our tickets, once purchased, experiences are non-refundable.

However you are not tied in to any particular date when you purchase a VIP experience, so you have all season to redeem the experience if you can't make the date you had originally intended. :)

    What is the age restriction?
  3. BTW didn't Swarm plans show up in early spring 2011?? So I suppose if the 2015 coaster is happening we'll see plans within a few months.

hopefully, and it also said on the 2011 map "new coaster 2013"! But I also heard that the park is also only allowed a really tall ride (stealth height) every so often. That means they could be pushing the 2015 coaster back by a year so it can be really tall. After all, stealth will be 10 years old in 2016!

  4. when it comes down to the swarm I don't think it can be blamed on one particular thing.... it had to be a mixture of so many different things (I know thorpe would know this but has anyone taken into account why the ride doesn't get that long queues due to it's great throughput compared to the rest of the park) - but I feel it was a lot down to money possibly being spent elsewhere that year by people, for example olympics and don't have that extra cash to make a visit and would wait til this year etc. and the fact the swarm was difficult to market as it isn't a standout ride, which doesn't have the same marketing power as what stealth and saw would have had... I still think it's a great ride, and really good themeing, but so smooth and at times slow that it doesn't become that thrilling which from reviews which would have had the same opinion may have given off a bad view of the ride?

It's also really cut off from the rest of the park! Hopefully when the 2015/16 roller coaster comes they will link it together with swarm and have a path by the sunken gardens to the new ride!
  5. My only issue with a zacspin is, I'm sure it's a really low throughput rollercoaster? I don't know exact throughputs but if you only have 4-8 people going round 30-60 secs you're not going to get more than 500pph and that would be over estimating the throughput. I would reckon you would only probably get 300-400pph and with thorpe parks popularity, a new rollercoaster of that throughput would certainly not be high enough...

They can have 1 or 2 cars out whilst loading another 1 and unloading another one. Also, not as many people would want to ride it as saw or swarm!

  6. I would love to see a zacspin at thorpe park. I also think it would work there! Anyone else think that it could go in the middle of rumba rapids if they filled the lake in? Purple track, green supports, red cars (to fit in with rumbas colour scheme)? The queuing would fit in next to it as it's tall and the ride entrance could be a bridge over the rapids! I am editing photos as a concept to show how it would work, il put them up when I'm done!

  7. new entrance (something like the new Cedar Point one would be nice

That would be good! when the new hotel comes, if they put a roller coaster on the crash pad island then it could link into the bridge if they don't re-do the entrance!

  8. Is this a question or a statement, I can't see any one else suggesting it has?

There's a 'navigation' map on the app, but that is not the new park map (sadly).

What I meant was that I would like a new map design, without the fat heads!
