  1. I went yesterday and Rush was closed. There was a lift thingy and I saw people on the top of the swings. Does anyone know whats happened?
  2. Its not possible to have inversions on suspended swinging coasters. If it were to go over a loop, it would flop to one side and it would hurt a lot. Inferno doesn't swing, that's why it can go through inversions without flopping over. The only way Vampire would be able to complete a loop, is that it went very very fast, but even so, the force would be too much for the riders at that speed so yh.
  3. Ok then will I need to get fastrack or anything?
  4. I'm visiting with my friends on my inset day on Friday 13th June, does anyone know how busy it will be?
  5. Thanks everyone for the great advice
  6. Well I'm taking 3 of my friends to Thorpe park in a couple of weeks and neither of them have ever been before. One friend is ok with all the rides but the other 2 aren't. So far, I've managed to convince them both to go on Colossus, Nemesis Inferno and The Swarm but neither of them want to go on Stealth or Saw. 1 friend (lets call her friend 1) has been told by her mum that Stealth is 'unsafe'. I told her that all the foundations were fine but there was a 1 in like a million chance that you might get hit by a bird of something during the launch (this happened to my cousin by the way) if you sit in the front row. She seems adamant to not go on it, but once she's been on it, I know she'll love it. My other friend (lets call her friend 2) doesn't want to go on Saw as she saw some on ride footage of it and was freaked out at it. She isn't taking my advice about how to conquer large drops but it really works! She also is scared of Stealth (I don't know why yet). Does anyone have any tips on how to convince them to ride because I know they'll love it afterwards. Thanks
  7. Thats actually a really good idea! Might be hard to get planning permission though
  8. I've went on it last summer for the first time (I'm only 11) and I was shocked by the bad quality. Its safe alright but its a real headbanger. I still think it would be able to survive for a few more years before a major refurbish/retheme. Its Thorpe's signature ride, they're not going to change it drastically too soon.
  9. It does but needs a retheme or refurbish because the paintwork is faded and dirty
  10. Me too, but knowing Merlin, they'll leave it for a few more years
  11. I think: Colossus-2020 for a re theme Nemesis Inferno-2025 replacement Stealth-2030 for track expansion Saw the Ride-2018 for re theme (When Saw the movie becomes unpopular) Swarm-2030 replacement
