I'll write some quick first impression thoughts Big Top - fav. Literally loved this maze and it's such an improvement from last year. Even though there was a lack of actors the ones in it really tried their hardest. Lists of spooky moments and the room with the masks in was wonderful <3 got lost in the maze several times! Being front of the group really helps. Best scares. I wish they'd show off the theming more obviously outside though! Cabin In the Woods - Actors in this really went all out. Despite it getting stale now after a few years they still use different scare tactics and after being trapped in a room with 'Terry' and having actors follow me throughout rooms was really intimidating. Super spooky. platform 15 - did this in the light for less spooky feels and it was ok! Not amazing but not awful. The tunnel was waaaaay too long and it just made it awkward. I loved the seance bit and the bit with the train! Hopefully I'll do this in the dark tomorrow to get super spoop. blair witch - nothing new really aside from the hanging witch signs but the jump scares this time were creative. People hiding in tents and crawling on the floor. Shed was bad as usual but smelt nice. Saw - awful awful awful run through of this. No actors in first room and no scares. Gonna do this one during the beginning of mazes opening tomorrow to try and get a better go. Roaming actors werre spooky and interactive I love. Thars my A* review x

I went on it for the first time EVER (shock I know) today after the last 4 times I've been ITS been closed and I felt the first bit was really well done. The VR made me feel disorientated and I really liked the different train shells but the second section was... interesting? The whole queuing escepe was a disaster and the people I was on with made it even worse. I'll give it another go tomorrow probably to try and get a better experience but effects were broken and I feel pretty meh about it considering I was so excited during construction.

Does anyone know which maze will be used for FIA tonight?

Not sure if this has been posted before, but noticed this whilst looking at going to Shark hotel! Bit more information about what Campfire stories will be this year.

SPOOPY TIMES!!!! Halloween is the only time of year I can do freelance makeup work considering I hate editorial stuff so if you wanna look extra spoopy you know who to call. I shall compile a list of horror films that are good for the spooky time of year. Nightmare on Elm Street - it's a given TBH but dream warriors is the best. (Welcome to prime time, bitch!) Evil Dead (2013 remake) - all the gore effects in this are makeup! No CGI involved. The raining blood scene is my dream. V/H/S 1 + 2 - fab little set of short films combined into one! The cult short in V/H/S 2 is a personal fav of mine. House of 1000 Corpses - Rob Zombie. That is all. Hostel - Gory and gritty and a bit weird. Eli Roth does some questionable things but this was great. Thirteen Ghosts - oh my god the makeup in this gives me nightmares. Robert Kurtzman YOU LEGEND American Psycho - I've watched this film countless times and I honestly wouldn't mind if Patrick Bateman killed me. honourable mentions - Antichrist, Child's Play, It Follows, Don't Breathe, The Girl with all the Gifts, As Above So Below, Emelie, Matyrs also Dead Set but that's a tv show but it's the best don't test me thanks.

Little promo video here, quite liked this!

Yeah that was more of a stunt for them! I believe she was at media preview to try to create more drama. Rick Genest is reasonably popular within pop culture (Born This Way video, iconic fashion model and used within media makeup) so having him as a permanent feature throughout the event would bring more attention to him and could make it unsafe! Although I wouldn't complain if he was there

Fab idea! Sounds like the use of UV with black light would work really well with this!

It's unlikely they'll go all out with makeup due to the nature of this event, in the mazes it's dark so there': no need to show detail! Also the makeup used can be uncomfortable on actors faces for long periods of time. they mentioned before in CITW BTS they wanted to play on character looks more (including a wolf suit) but alas it isn't possible due to health and safety
