Paultons has a lot of wasp traps over the site, some visible, some not and get emptied weekly. They do very well catching them!

To be fair I went Sat night and took us 30 mins to queue and get in, the flys were really bad though, big swams of them in the car park & admissions, not much Thorpe can do about it though!

I wouldn't say he's dead, time will tell

Have fun today guys!

Corkscrew & Thunderlooper etc were way before Vampire and were considered thrill rides!! Corkscrew at Alton Towers in its day was the first roller coaster in europe for many years to go upside down twice!!
-
Me & Rob went to Harvester a few weeks back and found it really good in there
-
I missed the smiler when I went on may 23rd and they never opened it
but going tomorrow so it's all good - fingers crossed it actually opens and stays open haha
It's been doing well recently so hopefully you will get on it, have a good day

Guys don't rule out the ride staying... you may think it's stupid but it should be operational again this year, watch this space

With all those tubs I would say it's hydraulic issues again

Years ago smoke machines used to be oil burning machines would affect Asthma, a few years ago a legisltation was put in place to replace all oil burning machines with a new oil free machine which is just as good as the old ones, better for the enviroment and people. Asthma people are unaffected by this type of machine, I should know, work at a Theatre & a Theme Park which uses them!

Can back Ryan up here, they always use that image when selling a Mondial TopScan
-
Just so you all know, Samurai is 100% a fairground model. Most TopScans have programmable settings however most fairs will like to run them on manual. Mondial have only ever made travelling versions of the TopScan

Nice spot Marc!

Today? Apart from tomorrow, the rest of the week and next week is looking mighty fine!!

All I can say is the kitten is well cute in the pic!!

In theory the ride is suppose to e-stop on low water level and NOT restart.

I believe the amp blew a few years back for them and they haven't fixed them since (maybe because Bose don't sell them anymore). The bass you hear in the station purely comes from the Bose 402 speakers, I should know I own 2 of them!

Totally agree with you Tom! Life is way too short and this Easter Weekend has made me see that for real...!

The Smiler
in Alton Towers
Posted
I was on park yesterday and Smiler closed around 1 instead of 12 probably due to the breakdown it had just before 10.
Air was on 2 trains 1 station in the morning and went to 3 trains and 2 stations in the afternoon.
Nemesis was on 2 trains all day.
Rita opened on time and was on 2 trains all day.
Oblivion opened with 2 stations and 5 shuttles and went down to 4 shuttles and 1 station later on in the afternoon.
Sonic was having usual issues all day yesterday, unsure about Thirteen but it was open!
