My dad would say you have a weak neck then, even though the last coater he went in was the Corckscrew 20 years ago haha.

What's an RMC? Edit: never mind, googled it.

You'd think they'd realise that it's easier to see the length of the queue in the bagging area than it is the queue time display at the entrance from where the fire engine is (infact I used my phones camera to look at the queue length from Amity Cove yesterday). Or perhaps that is the route issue, maybe if there was a queue time display on the little entrance bridge they'd update it more often. You won't find me at customer services complaining though since it's great for us regulars who like the ride

So isn't what you've described how that dynamic attractions ride thing works, shifting back and forth on short interconnecting tracks?

I think you guys need to read slower. I never said throwing coins was a good idea, I didn't know the ride you were referring to and the names you kept calling it indicated it was some sort fighting or dueling attraction between participants. It also wasn't me who said the metal detectors were a result of the incidents, that was the answer given to me to justify their I introduction to the ride in the photos, I only questioned why an incident that you now say happened 4 years ago is the reason why metal detectors were introduced last week.

I meant the dumb redneck was the person doing the throwing, not the injuries party. I don't know the ride it relates to (the throwing), but why have a ride in the first place that encourages throwing of objects at passengers? Isn't that the equivilent of having a walkway overhanging stealth just before the elevation and saying to people feel free to spit on the people as they go under? Eventually someone will get hurt because someone will take it too far. I'll ask again, how does this incident relate to the other ride having metal detectors installed? Surely it would be better to put the metal detectors on the ride that actually had the passengers blinded on? Yesterday at Thorpe someone e looked to have been injuried on the bumping cars towards the end of the day, by following that logic it's the equivilent of putting extra padding on Colossus as a result of someone banging their head on the bumpers cars. Somebody please explain to me how an accident on one ride causes another to have metal detectors installed?

You can't fix stupid, but what percentage of riders are those to people during that month? And why does an accident/thick redneck being inbred on one ride, cause another to install metal detectors?

We did it in February, tbh I don't even remember what the ride is called but it certainly fits into the educational mantle you describe, certainly not a type of attraction you'd expect at Thorpe. Having said that, I wouldn't say 'I'm a celeb' fits into the genre of Thorpe either and they've done that, both of those things are the kind of ride/experience you'd expect to see at Chessie or Legoland.

Health & Safety Nanny State happened. A small minority did something dumb, everybody else suffers as a result because risk assessment is incapable of using common sense, or someone needs more funding so has made up a new threat to justify it's installation. They probably didn't put it down by the loading area because space will be tight there, imagine them trying to squeeze all that equipment into the bagging area on Swarm, never gonna happen.

Pre-show, Station, Chronicals of London - dare I say the black cab history ride at Tuassards? Maybe with a modern twist of those virtual cars + screens being described earlier in thread earlier instead of the train like system used in Tuassards?

Yup throughput was amazing today on swarm, we only had two goes but it was walk on both times when we got to Thorpe about 4.30. (even for the rear seats). I managed to convince Jr to sit on the outside seats (he prefers the inside ones) and he thoroughly enjoyed it, even asking to go again after the second go lol. Either I view things differently, or the majority of Thorpes clientele is thicker than my loft insulation, 30 min wait on Inferno, nearly an hour for Colossus (we didn't even bother with that one this time), and 5 minutes for Stealth, walk on too after 5.30, I'm not complaining cos it's good for us, but why? just why? Can these people not read signs? Go walk over the other side of the park and you can ride every flaming seat on Swarm in the time you're spending queueing for Colossus..... actually no no, please do as you are.... we'll do the multi rides. Another example, on the way out, people were queuing for a single turnstyle.... (we just walked over to one of the unused ones and walkd right out), and the number of people who drove up to the car park exit gate without a ticket to get out.... it was truly a 'slow' day at the park today.

Oh I have, I'm just being pesamistic, that way when it's the best thing since sliced bread, I'll be pleasantly surprised. If you have high expectations, you will only over be disapointed.

Plenty more Lionsgate IP's available. There is still a part of me that thinks this will just be another maze though.

That is awesome, what game/software is that? (Genuine question, I have no idea).

LOL fail of the month there, I'll be here all week for your entertainment And by the comparison I meant it might give Merlin more ideas on security, although strangly enough I was able to go through one of those hand held scanners earlier this month with an actioncam in my pocket.

And you guys think their new UK park will cause Merlin to improve customer service....

That's all well and good when all the staff are doing their jobs and not standing on the center track chatting during loading. I felt so sorry for the old guy with white hair who was forced to check everybody's belts twice while his colleague stood on the track in front of us swapping sweets with the guy on the right hand side who was undoubtly supposed to be doing the exact same job, but alas thought it more important to give his colleague a sweet and slag off a disabled guy who the other staff were trying to unload off the train. We had to do our own belts up ourselves. I would have said something but got the feeling that the race card would have been pulled if I had. (This was a couple weeks ago, not recent).
