I know that for most people my age, their parents buy them their tickets/passes. My point was, it doesn't really matter how much money the kids themselves own, because in the area quite a few parents are willing to spend money on a pass or whatever.
-
Oh yeah I know, that was my point.
-
You say that, but I'm pretty sure there's more people in my old school with Merlin/Thorpe annual passes than not.

Cheers ref for ruining my day and probably our season ?

Jesus Christ, that's the second most desperate world first they've come up with. Second. Glances over to my profile picture

Just been to the Christmas event, and it's definitely the best I've done. Most of the park was open, apart from Cobra, Edge and the rides around that area. The grotto was very well themed with animatronics and a proper storyline about helping Rudolph find the North Pole. There were so many cute little details and animals everywhere, accompanied by a frankly terrifying snowman thing, and a dragon (?). We then went through a very Bubbleworks-esque Toy Factory before being sent through to Santa. He spoke to us for a bit, we had a photo then out where my sister got her present, an art book thing that she likes. Me and my parents got a pretty disgusting fruit punch, which probably would've been okay cold, but it didn't taste nice warm. My dad described it as tasting like "Blackcurrant Lemsip", and a mince pie. You can also have orange juice which I would recommend. The Lost Kingdom is still great, Pterosaur feels like it's got better since last year and Velociraptor was good. None of the animatronics were working in the cave on Dinosaur Tour Co. Little Africa looks finished, and some of the animals are in. We didn't see much of the Peppa expansion but the castle looks like it just needs to be painted. Cat-O-Pillar broke my shoulder. Ride Count Flight of the Pterosaur x3, one middle, one front, one back. VelociRaptor x3, one middle, one front, one back. Cat-O-Pillar Carousel Pirate Ship Dino Tour Co.

I can see why they've got rid of that though - wasn't it originally (and still is) the Quantum theme? I can see Thorpe wanting an actual entrance theme instead of the music from one of their smaller flat rides. Say what you want about the music itself, but it's obvious what Thorpe want to do with their music, and it's not like it isn't working. I think I've posted it on here before but after we left, my dad was humming the entrance tune for about a week, and I even heard some of my friends singing it. And none of those have any interest in theme park music at all. In fact, I asked one of them what their favourite soundtrack was before this season and he replied "the music in KFC".

I volunteer! Wait...

Yes, I'm sure it's that easy to get over fears just like that.

Stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid. As someone who still doesn't go on the big rides yet, and especially my sister who won't go on them for a long time, X is probably the ride we go on the most. If it gets this theme, all we (and others like us) have are Storm Surge, Quantum (and my sister won't even do that), Mr Monkey's Banana Boat, the Weymouth rides, Rocky Express, Rumba Rapids, Storm in a Teacup, Dodgems (which I won't do), and the only rollercoaster will be Flying Fish (which, as you know I despise). That, imo, is a worse ride offering than Legoland (At least until I get on the big rides). This would be such a stupid idea.

Search it up on YouTube. You'll find plenty there

Mainly the music, as not only is it not as good it's very quiet too. The lighting isn't as good either, apart from that it's good. Skeletons, bunting and eyes everywhere. Less pumpkins though which is weird. And the actors have been here since last year, pretty much the exact same cast with one or two additions. There's now an actor for each area (Bats and vampires for Vampire, mutated Lobster lady for Pirate's Cove, possibly a Voodoo guy for Africa? A pharoah for Forbidden Kingdom, some Samurai people for Mystic East etc.)

I will say the atmosphere was pretty lackluster this year. Instead of the lovely halloween music they had last year, or even the even better Imascore one coming back, they are playing this: A Youtube playlist of Kevin Macleod songs. This is what I use on Planet Coaster ffs!

Been at Chessie for two days and heard a few gems: "MUM 10+ ARE YOU SURE?" - Said after exiting Creepy Caves Looking up at Fury "Shall we do it? It's quite high" "Yeah come on lets do it" one says as they walk through the entrance. To Griffins Galleon. HPH pre show: "I think this is a lift" Someone in another group: "Oh Ive been here before, this is a lift" Annnd... "I reckon theres someone behind there" "Thats a jumpscare" - Said about the fireplace. They were dissappointed.

I just watched people exit Creepy Caves and it made me jump from outside, safe to say I wont be going in haha.

Wow, okay. I take it all back. That is absolutely terrible. Apparently, though, inside it's terrifying, and this TripAdvisor reviewer says the age rating should be increased:

And it's a whopping 48 seconds long! The runes say: "We interrupt this to bring you good news. You are invited to a celebration; a celebration of our Earth and its beauty. All this noise. All this technology. It's too much, isn't it? There's no time or space to think, is there? Deep down you know the truth, don't you? The technology has now taken the reigns. How did you get here? Maybe it doesn't matter. What matters is this chance; your opportunity to reconnect with the Earth. Come join us near the woods and partake in our celebration. How far you choose to go ... that is your choice. What part you choose to play ... only you can decide. Be chosen on the night where the living meets the dead.
