  1. Personally I think the logo is good, it is versatile and the colours and patterns help it, still it be interesting to see its implementation beyond concept.

However even as a sub logo I think the Infinity symbol still had a place in the rebrand

However I'm guessing its still the 'island like no other'

  2. Its good to see a redo of this area even if its the situation of making thematic adjustments to what's already there. Just a Shame it couldn't be like when Angry Birds Land appeared they added a small flat, since the dodgems was a great addition and something similar is a good addition to the park, a small flat that everyone likes.

Though its a question of what and where

Hopefully the 3d Show will be good, though the graphic suggests its currently unknown or perhaps multiple shows.

Or the lake freezes over and Pirates 4D comes back

  3. Honestly it sounds something more like the chain lift snapped or something. Probably not that, but something critical and consumable would of failed inspection and needed a order from B&M which probably wasn't on the shelf.

Thus a lead time to make, ship from Switzerland, install, test and inspect.

Still if the ride is cycling then fingers crossed they have sorted it

  4. Honestly in regards to the floating coach, when DBGT opened they did make a big deal of it in the spiel before going in to give a 'grand reveal'

I don't think they would touch the coach shell, simply because it would be such a faff to, working at height with no fixed walkways around it.

But I think  yeah they are laying more into the tube train aspect, if they wanted to be fancy they could make 1 tube platform "abandoned" and the other "used"

Waterloo And City Line - Railfanning London's Railways

A example of how it could look and the Blue on the teaser and paint suggests

This is the Waterloo and City Line in around 1992 when Network Southeast Ran it before London Transport took it over

I would say something like this has been on the designers Mood board for themes

  5. It be interesting what they do with it, fact is if you wanted to do the minimum, you could change the pre and post show film, film a person in front of a green screen for the carriage screen with Derren and replace his voice, either like for like or for a new story

Oh and remove any Derren Easter eggs, like the Trick or Treat poster in the mid scene and apparently the VR had some Easter eggs but thay may of been part of VR 2 which was changed (bonus props to the alternative version of VR 2 which was never used where the demon had a different design and flew, like how the first section had 2 versions)

But with MMM it sounds like they be doing more than that especially if they are removing the troublesome hot VR (the vr wasn't the only reason the building is very toasty but it doesn't help)

I would expect screens in the windows of the train mainly as the alternative is trying to do all media via the small advertising screens

and use the leg ticklers that where thought about, installed and then cut I want to say cause they didn't work properly?

A actor lead experience could work, especially since it already was kinda one, just the actor going from load to load not just the middle scene

I would love to see them re do the lights on stick train crash effect but its a shame that it the effect was temperamental and didn't work consistently since it was probably a highlight of the ride

I would also hope they keep the atmosphere, by that, the ride has a gloomy tense atmosphere with its theming music and a good (usualy actor lead) spiel between the pre show and load works very well (this was one of the actor positions that was a proper actor if I remember correct, not ride staff doing a bit)

There is potential here to make a proper Tussauds walk through experiance

    Dungeons, Hex, etc

I hope they get it right and reliable

  6. I mean I known people in situations like that where they have a NDA about future content but simultaneously have to interact and speculate with people about the stuff

He could tell us the full plan today, however he would lose the agreement with the park and not gain the info again

Its not as bad but seen other fandoms adopt in this situation a "any info known must be told otherwise gatekeeping, screw NDAs" I'm glad it hasn't become that bad just yet

The thing about DBGT is even if you remove the VR the ride system itself is complex, unreliable and has a very low throughput

and due to making that pretty awesome floating coach illusion, everything is supported off the ground, so a removal of equipment would be complex so you can't just gain a big warehouse easy

Its a prime plot with a for all intensive purposes a immovable object, you could turn it into a walk through maze, but you would have to either still run the train system, or install catwalks between the 3 trains and platforms to allow for a full walk through

    iffy either way

at this point either ghost train becomes a de Derren'ed ride, SBNO or somthing random

or the CCR trains are being put in the ride to add to the train theme 😜

  7. From facebook from the person who hauled the stock out, one set is going to East Links Family Park in Dunbar

As for the thought they be scrapped straight away

Fact is the rolling stock there are solid commercial machines and are relatively robust, plus they would been relatively well looked after

Fact about railway stuff, its rare stuff is outright scrapped as long as its decent and usable with a bit of TLC the thorpe stuff is more than

  8. https://twitter.com/J_Silkstone/status/1591891248180527104

Using this as its the first one I found and others are on facebook groups that may link

Due to Exodus construction requiring the train shed to be demolished, the Canada Creek Stock and the last remaining Treasure island loco on site (the other loco  and coaches left to other lines years ago)

The Canada creek locos I have heard are heading up to a line in Scotland, probably needing a  bit of work by Severn Lamb (the manufacturer who also made the ride vehicles for DBGT), though even the one that had a fire put in its cab and put on its side is still in good nick, the design of those locos used a diesel engine and hydraulic pump in the tender with only a hydraulic motor in the loco that they themed for fright nights

The Treasure Island loco has been sold as well but is first retuning to its manufacture Alan Keef for a full overhaul before moving on

so even though some posts said wrongly, they are not being scrapped

  9. Tidal Wave and storm surge have water treatment plants, Rumba and Loggers dont

Its a situation with a grandfathers rights clause

and Loggers physically couldn't had water treatment fitted due to the nature of water splash entering the lake

loggers was worn out and needed alot of work which is why the death knell took so long to be rung

  10. Also there has been suggestion that Exodus may be delayed, not due to planning or SOS or whatever

    But Due to MACK

MACK is currently Fulfilling a big order for Universal for a duelling launched coaster for Epic Universe plus other flats, this order was put on hold and then replaced with a order for that and a spinner (some reports of a normal some of extreme) for the same park.

So there's a good chance Exodus may be moved back due to MACK's orders being moved around due to a company with more  money and scope fast tracking a order

  11. I mean there was one culprit for pulling things off topic

Regardless, towers is in a iffy state in regards to flat rides, fact is flat rides though they cant be a main advertising hook (at least on there own, back in the day thorpe advertised multiple new flats as a thing) but they are needed to add variety and capacity to the park guests day

  12. would there be space to do a thing similar to brave it backwards/front row where you have a separate queue near the end of the queue? though its a space issue which it seams Blackpool is gonna have fun doing.

Also with the spinning seats, don't they remove 2 rows for 1 row spinning? or have I got the wrong idea, then spinning would not be a good idea due to reduced capacity

I mean if they wanted a USP or at least Unusual Selling point, just do a USJ Hollywood dream and run 2 trains, one forwards, one backwards with 2 separate queues

but that forces 2 train operation always, which would probably require 3 trains to allow maintenance to handle it in a similar situation to Stealth (though thats more reducing winter  maintenance burden)

  13. If I remember from the Iron Gwazi saga in the states, that project got delayed over Covid and what happened is they just stopped payments to RMC (or the equivalent fitting out contractor) and since the final payment wasn't made the ride is not handed over. Gwazi was at a point where it could of opened in a month is money was paid, staff hired and the final tests and signing off performed

Its probably a similar scenario with this coaster, however in a earlier state

The first section has been realised.

    But.

There is not full steam ahead.

Prepare for a rocky few years.

    Ding dong, ding dong.

Working on the assumption this is not a troll and this is a Thorpe account (which has happened before with DBGT)

first section: obviously first part of a plan but section? my mind thinks rail block sections but coater sections?

Not full steam ahead: well that's in relation to probably the fact its got to get trough planning approval, also this means the trains are being removed and plat 15 with it.

Rocky years: again not set in stone and rocky express is going as suggesed

The sign off, tannoy? clock = time = time traveller = mack, mack spinner?

    if true its nicely cryptic

  15. I hope we can be optimistic here, but I think the key here is to not be over hyped with this thing. You may get lots of info, you may not. If we do get a coaster type it may not be whats expected, I mean there will be people out there which if it isnt RMC or a Hyper they will Riot

However I think that this consultation is happening as the project isnt covered by the MTD plan, which may be just a sightline issue

Or we just getting a B&M Wing shuttle that Chessington is getting but instead being a bit bigger ;)

  16. The thing about platform 15 is the fact that due to its location, the maze can be built, maintained and stored in the open with minimal disruption to the day to day workings of the park, only the station and the tunnel has to effect the normal park

For example when they built the house nobody realized it had been built till it was experianced.

It could do with some work but as a night maze it still has its good points, but it could do with work, its a good base line

also effects wise theres relatively little

the fire on the train that will never run again

the train jumpscare and then its just general audio and maze systems

    its a deceptively simple maze
