Amazing how fast this is going up!! I’m terms of volume of supports, probably not far off the entire amount for stealth already up!
-
Imagine that lit up with some desert floods for FN next year. 😮💨
-
Coming along so quickly. I can see the turnaround being complete by the end of next week at this rate!
-
Seen a couple of photos over on X showing it rise into the sky with white supports. Looks massive already and has a fair bit of height left to go!! Going to be imposing on the skyline for sure
-
I’m 100% all in for feel good thrills. One thing I love about hyperia is that the theme isn’t dark. Really think Thorpe moving in a more uplifting direction is a massive positive
-
Looking at silkstones update there’s 4 pieces of track delivered, guess there’s going to be an awful lot of deliveries to deliver all those pieces!! Looks like they’re being stored on the land next to the car park
-
There’s some aerial shots that have been posted on Instagram of the site. Looks to be all but complete footer wise, maybe 20 left in some various stages of completion. Also looks like there’s an access route prepared to reach the back of the site, so I would say not far off going vertical at all now.
-
There will be a significant amount of white supports because of the size of the big three main structures which dominate the skyline. Key is having the gold supports at the site for the first sections which sounds like they are there and marked up. Also looks like good progress on the groundwork’s front with the turnaround out the station etc
-
Anyone here lucky enough to walk the supports yesterday?
-
😂 when will it end 🤞
-
Yeah definitely is the slowest part, although I do feel that given the scale of the ride and the complexity of some of those support structures compared to the likes of swarm, this one will take a lot longer to assemble!
-
Ahhh skiing! Now it all makes sense! I was starting to think of some sort of mountain reference for the theme that wasn’t needed at all!! Still no vertical construction on either track or ride buildings so I guess all previous rumours were wrong. Feels like this stage is really dragging now!
-
Something makes me uneasy with the drill being back on site… let’s hope nothing is out of position 😬😬
-
Few points 1. Most recent JS update (filmed last Tuesday) clearly showing the increasing volume of supports on the island… also interesting that they are arranged with numbers, also suggesting the order they will be brought to the construction site for erection. 2. JS also stating that site manager has stated mid -end of September for ride supports going vertical which takes this week and next week out of it, and thus the vertical element being spoken about must be either ride station or maintenance hub. 3. From the 2 points above, clear deviation from the original plan in terms of site priorities which makes it difficult to track actual progress against the plan. Hunch says behind by 4-6 weeks based on it, however the station/maintenance is ahead which may allow the systems install to stay on plan. Concious all of the above very boring points, but interesting at the same time 😂
-
Heard it’s the station this week on a few sources. Looking at the most recent update from TPG they’re saying 80% of footers complete and steel for station has been spotted. Site looks like it needs a bloody good clear up though, right mess at the moment
-
I take all the rumours and sources with a pinch of salt. Would however be a great week (with the weather 😂) to make a start on the vertical construction element. Wont be able to get to the park until Fright Nights, so will be awaiting updates with much anticipation 😬😬
-
Obviously no expert, but they’re have been two confirmed sightings of supports arriving this week, and DG95 posted to say that the island behind swarm was “filling up” Reports suggest 5 deliveries next week with track due on Wednesday allegedly. Vertical to start potentially on Thursday according to a few sources on twitter or X. Of course, could all be hype, JS said he thought it would be the week he gets back from Orlando, which I think is the following week.
-
Apparently Track arriving next week and construction due to go vertical at the end of the week or the start of the week after if everything stays on plan. Mini heat wave next week should help that along. Station footers phase 1 have gone in, and work is now progressing on footers for the lift hill and the top end of the site where the double turnaround elements will be. Pace seems to be picking up frantically, but still think march is aggressive given the volume of work to do on site including the reinstating of the lake!
-
Based on Shambhala I think 82 is possible. The steeper drop of exodus will decrease the resistance ratio and I believe the Mack lift will mean it’s a good 1 or 2 mph faster over the top.
-
Can’t see it being more than 82mph. In theory 84 is possible but that assumes zero resistance and going over the top at 1ms. Would have to be a fast lifthill to allow it to exceed the 80mph IMO
-
Probably the only one…. But I’m glad they gave very little away. The guessing only builds the anticipation more. Buzzing after the last couple of days content on exodus
-
Think these will look different when they’re in situ. My only concern is how they will age as they fade. just watched the site update video. A lot to take in. Massive amount of work has clearly gone in to reach this point. Actually surprised by the amount of footers complete. Still think it’s a month off anything going vertical personally
-
Got a feeling those pictures will be followed by a silkstone update as he usually seems to be the one taking the official photos. That will likely include the arrival of gold parts! Anyway from the update I must say, groundwork’s are so much more complicated than depicted on the plans! Good progress being made in what looks a vey congested and complex series of footers to produce
-
Anything to do with SW7 opening delayed because of out of position footers?? 😂
-
Actually with the right admixtures it will 😏 once the chemical reaction starts, hence how concrete can be poured under water. However generally you are correct, concrete isn’t poured in the rain as the increase in water content affects concrete strength. Not something you want in a coaster of this size!!
