Is the Uk Theme Park Industry going down the drain?
That's twice more then the other theme parks in the country.

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
That sounds exactly how Fastrack begun back in 2002. And to be honest why should Thorpe go around building loads of new single rider pathways to the rides if 1. they are only going to be used by a minority and 2. would cost them quite a bit to do with very little benefit to the park.. unless they charge for the single rider ticket. Oh crap.. I just gave Thorpe an idea..

Never.. as the chief person (Marc) has said he has no intention of visiting Chessington again this year, do you really, honestly believe a Chessington mania would actually open. I mean for god sake, TPM hasn't even been updated properly for like 2 months and Marc is there every 4 days!

Your Thorpe Park
There are two other permanent top scans in the country. Beast up north and one in Hastings (I believe). The only reason Samurai is so busy is that it's wedged between two major rollercoasters and will feel the brunt of queues if either of them was to break down.

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
No it didn't and heres why.A few years back we ran Single rider on Dragons Fury and it was an absolute nightmare. The reason being is that like it was on Inferno and Colossus is that single riders came up the exit meaning that at busy times you'd have millions of single riders stopping disabled guests and exit riders getting to the front. A lot of the time, single riders just went round and round and round and round. How is that in anyway helping Thorpe Park aside from reaching a meaningless number every hour (which was rare because single riders are actually quite slow and pig-headed about finding their seats). Sure that guest gets 30 rides in a day on Nemesis Inferno.. but how is that fair for normal guests who still have to queue an hour for one ride.Just like the disabled queue and the old fastrack system, single rider was largely removed because it suffered so much abuse from people who the system wasn't really designed for.

Nemesis Inferno
I agree. The Tussauds that the company became seemed to care little for the parks it was running. Things like charging for maps, reducing staff and limited ride availability really did make an impact on the day. Merlin have completely changed the parks and all three are looking far better then they have done for a long time.

Your Thorpe Park
It would be bad because Rameses is now into its 15th season and is quite past it. It's had a few refurbs but it doesn't perform as well as a new ride and ultimately would not be able to pull in the punters like a brand new flat ride would. It's not about Chessington holding onto one of its apparent best rides (which it isn't), it's about Thorpe looking to the future, not being held back by the past.

Your Thorpe Park
Yes it would..... oh who am I kidding. It would be the worst new ride installation Thorpe could ever come up with.

2010 - move Rameses to Thorpe

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
The thing is.. on Loggers you aren't crazily wet and the boat is moving at a speed through the squirty bit so it isn't as bad. On Tidal Wave the boat moves slowly through whatever bit the squirters are located and it's not as if you aren't soaked to the bone already. It takes the mick and would definitely ruin a ride for me personally.

Again... what is the point (aside from making money)

Trucks has the most jumpy queue time in the whole park. Because of its location next to Market Square and Carousel it tends to suffer from really really long queues. Normally, the only way of keeping the queue manageable is to slightly inflate the queue time shown on the LED board. It the queue board had said 5 minutes, chances are the queue would come out the entrance and overflow into the main part of Toytown. From what I saw today average queues at the park were.Fury - 60 minutesVampire - 45 minutesTomb Blaster - 50 minutesRunaway Train - 45 minutesDragon Falls - 45 minutesRattlesnake - 30 minutesBubbleworks - 40 minutesThe park closed at 7 today as it was quite busy.

Your Sexuality
Short answer yes.Long answer. Sexuality is nothing. When you are young it's the scariest thing thinking you are not normal by liking the same sex and thinking you are all alone in the world. It's when you get older and you encounter other people that you realise sexuality doesn't define you as a person. It's an aspect of your personality but it should never dominate everything about you.I'm me. From the word go I am myself and if people do not like the way I act or talk then there is nothing I can do to change that. I like men, so what. Doesn't mean it's all I think or care about. At the same time I'm not scared to talk about my experiences with the same sex. I'm very lucky that no one I know has ever had a problem with it or made it an issue.

Chessington General Discussion
The only rides which definitly close in the weather are Safari Skyway and Peeking Heights, the main reason being the ride becomes very uncomfortable. Other rides which can be effected by the weather are Tiny Truckers, Griffins Galleon, Rattlesnake, The Dodgems and Black Bucaneer.Fury actually behaves itself in the rain surprisingly.

Dragon Falls
When it originally opened it was called Dragon River, it was renamed in 1998/9

Chessington Trip Reports
Yeah I saw Katy price to. you must have got on just as I left Fury. Peeking did open at around 4:30, it was closed due to the weather as it's not very comfortable up there when it's raining and windy.

Chessington Trip Reports
Has only happened 2-3 times this year. Last year it was a daily occurrence during the holidays. Obviously with Saw at Thorpe and the new land at Legoland, Chessington is not as packed as it was in 2008.

If Chessington has a certain gate figure by 1pm they always extend the opening hours by an hour.

Nemesis Inferno
Awesome work Thorpe in getting the mist going again on Inferno. The tunnel mist in particular is such an important effect and I'm glad its been fixed. The fact that they have gone to the lengths to get the geiser mist going again near the top of the volcano fills me with hope to other effects at the park.
