EC!
Well I know December was 3 months ago there abouts but I want to show you guys my little trip to New York. I will try to do it in 4 or five parts but that might be more seeming I did take 300 + photos in 4 days but no matter, plus for anybody going to thorpe park for the TPM meet on sunday will see my face for the first time lol. Just to say I dont look like that normally its just it was so windy and cold it seemed make my face look horrible and my hair was a mess :s So on to part 1: We finally managed to get out after a massive hailstorm. I seem to be bamboozled by the amount of TV on that one building. Started to get annoyed cos the traffic was horrendous and the guy infront farted, so I lost 2 years of my life after that stink out! I didn't visit Central park in the end so this was the next best thing! Even now I cant remember what it was called Dad seems to be wondering why I have lost the ability to open my eyes I've never been good with photos ! Note to self, NEVER stand up on top of open decked bus when low sign comes your way, you will end up with a badly bruised head The Empire State in all her glory Disco Biscuits seems to be popular in NY might try them next time. Blowjobs are going cheap these days in New York This was the tallest clock tower until last year (the anorak is coming out of me now ) I told you dad I don't like photos and plus nose is like bloody icicles so a photos out of the question. A photo of the new WTC under construction. Dad seems to realize why I didn't want my photo taken earlier and -10 celsius is not a great time to take photos A quick trip to Macy's before we go back to the hotel and the people don't seem happy staying still on an escalator, we don't do it in Britain and I'm certainly not doing it for you lot I'm knackered I've been walkin all day!! (rant over) Time for BED Part 2 tomorrow. Your all free to comment Ryan, MikeC, pluk and 1 other
EC!
Part 2 of my Christmas trip to New York The world famous Rockefeller Christmas tree, seem to have caught the guy with blonde hair in an awkward moment. Another photo of the tree with the famous ice skating and fountain, hopefully nobody broke any bones like the last time I went ice skating So tall I have to take a photo of the Rockefeller center in landscape, soon I will be at the top! The lowest of the three observation decks, still bloody high though, the view on central park is nice, plus a good view of the skyscraper where the crane got destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. The second deck and I got an awesome view of the Bank of America tower, Empire state and the good ol' World Trade Center in the distance but I'm freezing my arse off up here. I'm so rocking the oversized beany look! I look such a nerd with the Ipad though Between me and an 840ft drop is a 2 inch thick pane of glass, no I'm not unnerved at all Now on the top deck, 850ft up and it is freezing, now you can get a better view of the glass panes between you and certain death, they are not what you'd call thick. A cool little panorama for you guys alla blivvy..... DON'T LOOK DOWN! Back down now on terra therma now I can get a proper view of this art deco beauty ....and the tree. Going up the top of the Empire state tomorrow, I like how santa has restyled it to look like the top of a christmas tree If anybody who went to the Guildford ice skating trip says the rink was busy, slap your self in the face because THIS is busy. nice little look at Grand Central Before I went to bed I took a photo of the lobby of my hotel, The Grand Hyatt. In part 3 tomorrow, I will show you guys my pics of the top of the empire state and my trip to the very eerie WTC memorials Like before you can comment as much as you like pluk, MikeC and Luke_A
EC!
OK guys its part 3 so now I'm gonna show my trip to the world trade center and empire state building and also using my crappy filming skills I got videos too!! Here is a video that I shot on the top deck of the Rockefeller Center So cold, I decide to turn my beany into a balaclava, haha I look like masked convict. One of the better photos of me posing in front of the U.S.S Intrepid, what you can't see is that it is snowing lightly... and its getting colder..... God Help Me!! The Water Taxi...... A taxi but on water !!!! The Empire State Building Dwarfing everything as usual First close up of the under construction 1 WTC, I'm half a mile away and it already looks massive!! This is probably as close as we could get to Lady Liberty as the island was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. At this point dad fell over haha The south tower pool. I just want to say this was one of the most eerie and saddening as well as liberating places I have ever been. The fact that I'm standing on land where nearly 3,000 people died was just the most eerie feeling and sent chills down my spine and the fact there are still dead bodies below me means that every time I see these photos my hairs stand up, knowing that thousands of families lost loved ones, which made me incredibly sad and makes me reflect on how life is so delicate and short and it makes me want to get the best out of my life and the fact they are building structures in memorial to those who died is amazing and heartfelt and I will definitely be back to pay my respects. The 1WTC in all its glory still unfinished but will be finished at the end of 2013 4 WTC I have to say is a beautiful building and will be finished in summer this year, makes anything built in Cardiff look like normal houses! A full Panorama of the beautiful pools surround by the beautiful trees and feels so peaceful.... until I get a blast of water in my face and I trip over my foot ( I think you can tell I'm quite clumsy) The pool of the North tower , unfortunately due to a technical fault stopped working... still beautiful to look at and pay my respects. 3 WTC under construction, doesn't look like much at the mo My video of the WTC memorial south tower pool. Enjoy Final view of this eerie but peaceful place, I will never forget that day RIP On a Brighter note, here is a shot of times square at night where there is more human traffic then actual car traffic Finally at the lobby of the Empire State, I will soon be 1250ft straight up in about 1 hour, CANT WAIT !! I'm almost it the open lower deck, floor 80 ... bloody hell I'm very high now if you know what I mean Before I go out, I got and overwhelming urge to play a drag racing game on my Ipad! Don't ask me why?! Finally outside and again it is bitterly cold but I'm getting an awesome view of times square as well as the Conde Nast building and Bank of America tower... SO COLOURFUL A bit grainy, but here is a view of the WTC The view is better then anything I have ever seen! the downside is you can't see the empire state even though I am on it! Now I'm going up the old 1930's elevator to the top 102nd floor, which breaks down halfway up....lucky me After that debacle I'm finally at the 102 floor and again dad takes a photo where I look like I have been dragged through a hedge.... Thanks dad I love you so much Chrysler building looks awesome at night, in fact I saw it everyday as my hotel was right next to it and grand central, which was perfect for getting around. Another photo of times square but 250ft higher and I have to say it looks more beautiful up here and because its all enclosed with massively thick walls and glass, I don't get vertigo and fear of dropping my Ipad, which is always an added bonus DEFINATELY DON'T LOOK DOWN Quote of Jeremy Clarkson -"Never has someone been so high.... apart from George Michael" One little shot of the interior of the top floor before we go down the elevator of DOOOOOOOOOM Back to the lobby after that awesome experience, now off to Macy's Saved 75% off a £110 Tommy Hilfiger T-shirt, my happy face says it all Before I went to bed I took a nice pic of the amazing Grand central Station roof, It's so convienient my hotel is connected to Grand Central... saves my lazy ass from walking far Here is a video I shot of the 102nd floor of the empire state. Part 4 is the last installment of my little trip to New York, and you can expect to see my trip to get close up to the Statue of Liberty, the Natural History Museum (famous for Night at The Museum) and for some reason Hollister Like before you are all free to comment!! EC!
OK guys this is part 4 the last installment to my little New York Christmas trip!! This was my last day and I had survived 21st of December 2012 and I managed to see some awesome sites, but ass you know, all good things come to an end, so enjoy!! Strolling down the street, seeing 2 massive Great Pyranean Mountain Dogs, with a tiny owner, honestly I bet you they are gonna send her flying down the street one day. 5th Avenue was packed as usual, Lush shops tough The Cartier jewelry store, adorned with the flashing Christmas bow, it made me feel christmassy but extremely poor at the same time with some necklaces costing in upwards of $2,000,000. Hollister, the only shop where you have to wait 30 minutes to get in and have 2 pools of water outside, honestly the pools are about as useful as a belly button. Santa was told he could ride anything to give people his christmas presents, so he went hardcore and told his elves to dress up like him and rock it out o superbikes The good ol' Natural history museum! I was honestly expecting T-rex to be larger then this #bigdissappointment ! Looks like the elephants was blowing their own trumpets Being plastic gorilla's like a boss! Posts and stuff, with a bit of info dollop'd on top. Don't ask me why this dude is wearing a ping pong ball on his chin My facebook actually thought this was an actual person.... so did my camera A bit of central park for you peeps Evolution created some weird ****!! The Chinese version of creepy doll collecting! The awkward moment when you see this in a museum......and an even more awkward moment when a little kid says why has that got a big willy like you (CRINGE FACE) The mayan prophecy circle thing, and again I look crappy in that photo! Again my camera thinks this is an actual human, if that is a human then I'm a 20ft tall vampire who looks like slenderman!! ME NO DUMB DUMB...... YOU DUMB DUMB favorite line of Night At The Museum ever! This guy is such a pimp, tongue out and all and smiling at the same time, AWESOME! An Orangutan, my favorite monkey ever! It was 4pm and this is as far as I could get into Central Park without getting raped or murdered and I'm not joking OOOOOOOOOHH, sparkley dinosaur On the twilight cruise, and I got an awesome pic of the empire state and all the over buildings, funnily enough the boat I was on was first at the scene of the Hudson river plane crash and the guide on the boat saved those people by hoisting them aboard, he was such an inspirational man and he said, "After that moment I felt that I should live my life to the full because anything could cut it short and that's why I rescued those people because their lives weren't finished yet and after the thanks I got, I felt content with my life, because I felt now I have a purpose." such a cool guy Panorama of manhattan island. WTC....but at night!! Decided to take a snap of New Jersey which was just across the river. My dad displaying once again, he doesnt know how to use a camera but here is a pic of Brooklyn Bridge.... at night!! The city that truly never sleeps. Nice little photo of me and dad for the scrap book. People think I look alot like my dad, do you guys think so?? The Manhattan Bridge......at night !!! Finally managed to gaet up close to this beauty and she is huge... but in a good way and at this point I almost dropped my Ipad into the water #NOTGOOD Leaving already too bad I need to go and have a good kip so I feel good for the journey bad home! Its 5am on December 24th and I am unfortunately leaving it was an awesome time which I will never forget and I will definately be back! Bye Bye, WTC, Bye Bye New York Bye Bye Manhattan had an awesome time, thanks for having us! So this is it, its now all over but it was awesome, something I will never forget and I hope you guy can all one day experience what I did. Good night Ryan, Luke_A and pluk
