14th March 2013 Opening Day

Hi guys,

Have been catching up on the Swarm backwards thread and the possibly renovation of X:/No Way Out and its getting me excited to get back to TP when it opens on 14th March!

So my question is, from previous experiences - what is the first day open to the public like? Is it quiet? Busy? All rides working? Everything finished and running I.e. no overlaps with works etc?

Its my birthday on the 12th March so I'm using it as an excuse to go TP on the first day it opens. I might as well get as much use out of my AP before it expires in August!

It won't stop me going either way but just intrigued!

Hi Em!

Last year on opening it seemed pretty dead! The biggest queue on opening was the annual pass queue and there were hardly any people in the normal queue,

Swarm was dead for pretty much most of the day as were the other rides, until about 3pm when the schools finished and they started coming to the park!

I'm hoping for the same again this year as it provided plenty of rides!

Are they doing an Annual Pass holders day this year? I think it was in 2011 when they did one, it was a disaster, with hardly any food outlets open and such long queues for everything!

Last year opening day was great I got there at about 3:30 after school and got on the swarm straight away as the queue was walk on! With there being no new coaster / ride as such this year I am sure that the park will be dead!

Brilliant! I'm definately going either way, I have an AP and my two friends will book online so we can walk straight to the turnstyles anyway!
