  1. Quite easily IMO, we provide all the information members of the GP would ever like to know, and provide that bit more which interests enthusiasts. And we provide all that pretty well id like to think, but there going to be interested in things such as events, such as one you bought up the Peter Andre, thats going to be something who both the GP and Enthusiasts would be interested in. The link to the site makes it easy for people to take there interest further, also it makes it clearer to members of the GP we are not the official website for the park. There both here because of one thing, Thorpe Park surely? To be honest weve not had complaints before, but tell us, what would you say we should change out of interest? To a degree yes, and we do try our hardest too but we are only human, we cant all be exactly the same.
  2. Primarily they are to appeal to fans, but we can not ignore the fact we also get a huge amount of the GP visiting us and cannot ignore this. Surely it does both? It informs people about the event, and those interested in it can easily find more information to visit.
  3. Inferno hasnt had any nets added since it opened, must of been somthing falling off ..

Saw Alive will be closed on Friday 13th Due to a media event. From TP.com
  5. I think the articles are wrote in a way in which they can appeal to all of the sites visitors, both the GP and Enthusiast groups, they give all the information an enthusiast would want to know, whilst giving that little bit more for the members of the GP who visit the site. You picked up on the link to their site to buy tickets, why is this a problem? It is relevant to the news post and helps anyone reading it who are interested in purchasing tickets.
  6. Unless your friend was being an idiot being somwhere he shouldnt be I find that very hard to believe..
  7. Marc replied to JoshC.'s topic in The Future
I'm not getting into the whole prove it etc its entirely your choice if you wish to believe me or not =p But with different loading/off loading system, breaks, lift hill apart from the actual steal work that's alot of differences between others.
  8. Marc replied to JoshC.'s topic in The Future
Nope I dont, Might be somwhere on there site not sure.Would certainly explain all the problems compared to other eurofighters. (Before it was handed over to the park )

Depends how much has changed surely? A very complicated design... Which is why Inferno has problems in the rain. Slammer maybe, rush is pretty different to the previous one which held 4 people though. Granted yes, wouldnt say its "much more" complicated though No your right, the point I'm trying to make is they have allways been the park to try out new technology in different ways.
  10. Marc replied to JoshC.'s topic in The Future
I'm pretty sure Gerstlauer consider it a prototype but there you go.Pretty sure Rush is too..
  11. Marc replied to JoshC.'s topic in The Future
I'm pretty sure officially it is seeing as how much is different about it...Its different to any other eurofighter out there.
  12. Marc replied to JoshC.'s topic in The Future
The lift hill works differently, the breaks and the dual loading / unloading is all new.
  13. Marc replied to JoshC.'s topic in The Future
Slammer, Rush, Saw, Inferno are all pretty complicated rides too.. Saw and Rush being prototypes, I'm pretty sure Slammer is very different in the way it works to the one which was / is open in the states, Not sure about inferno but its Pre lift drop compecates things a fair bit and with another rumoured to open in 2012 too. As I said, not just rides too but general things, project link and Iphone apps for example, I think we will be seeing more like that in the future too. Its just allway's the impression ive got from the park.Edit: I'm in no way saying this is what makes them good rides and what not.
  14. Not really, The forums just isnt really the place for people to vent hatred toward individual members of staff.. which is what we were trying to avoid in the first place.
  15. Marc replied to JoshC.'s topic in The Future
Because its what works for the park, its no accident that for the past few years the park has had its best year ever each one of them, you compare to parks such as oakwood, its a different scale completely, would Saw ever run on 1 car and have no queue like speed does?
  16. Marc replied to JoshC.'s topic in The Future
But you only have to look at how far they have bought the park forward, like youve stated records like the worlds first 10 looping coaster, Europes highest launch coaster really do grab peoples attention (more so the GP) and make them think wow, got to go there and ride that which in turn makes the park successful.Thorpe Park out of the 3 has always been the most advance imo in the way of technology used on rides and general running, I doubt we will see a change to this any time soon really.

    Oh jack damm it
  18. Marc replied to JoshC.'s topic in The Future
I dont really see the point here, are you saying thorpe should stop installing rides which break records, or are you saying these records shouldnt be advertised? =\
  19. Feel free to mention names all you like, the general recommendation is if you have a problem with a member of staff its probably best you contact the park in question apart from moan on here.. Also do recommend you leave positive comments to Guest Services too, they do appreciate it!

Dont expect anything done to the theme, I suspect we will see some coloured lights in there soon.I guess lights on have reduced sickness?
  21. No there isn't, it's all fenced off.

Members are not able to create topics in the TP forum for the simple reason that it was simply filled up with so many topics asking the same thing, we then decided it would be best to lock the forum, with an already established set of topics covering pretty much everything which is "General thorpe park" , members are then encouraged to create new topics in the other sub forums where 9 times out of 10 they fit in more. If there is a topic you feel in missing its easily dealt with, and of course if anyone has opinions on this we are more than happy to look at possible better solutions to this
