The forum design was changed to fit in with the new mania hub portal which has never been changed before now. I cant remember the last time the forum last had a redesign.

So take a new HP computer, alot of them now have speakers built in so you plug in a screen, keyboard, mouse and power.. I hardly find that a hardship. And with PC's you have way more options.. I have a 5.1 speaker set, plugs straght into the back of my motherboard.. unless things have changed if I wanted to do that on a mac I would have to go out and buy a USB soundcard which is actaully compatable with a mac to get anywhere.. Yet more money!

And thats the point.. your forced to use the apple stuff which imo is why alot of people dislike them, obviously some people may like that but alot also dont. But the whole using it out the box.. buy a dell plug it in and I dont see why you cant use it:S You set up a few basic things such as your name, any networks you may have and thats about it?

It seems to start from the beginning half way through

Ah but thats apples own doing by brining out stupid adverts which totally give out the wrong idea, the whole I'm a mac, I'm a pc has to be one of the most stupid things ive seen.Firstly why does the pc look big old and ugly, do the brainbox's at apple forget that PC's unlike the mighty macs are customizable? They can be as big or as small as you wish with different form factors etc available, sure you cant get it all built into a screen.. but I cant see my lovely nvidia 8800gt fitting anywhere in that white box.Another classic one is the webcam one.. wow this "cool guy" has all this amazing **** built in and he dont have to add anything extra, agian the marketing people at apple seem to forget that technology does actually evolve, weather you have a mac or not, some of there main features seem to be there shortcomings, who wants to spend £1000 on a pc sorry I mean MAC and in a years time be faced with sticking with old technology or forking out yet more of your money? A fair few mac owners like to argue the point that there mac does everything they need... for now.. so what happens in a years time this kick ass game comes out.. because technology has evolved it requires this and that... the pc owner can buy a lovely new shiney graphics card, what can the mac owner do, prove me wrong but I'm fairly sure you cant stick a new graphics card in a mac. As a whole I guess my problem isnt with the computer its self, its the way its sold by apple and the ultimate fanboyism which follows.

Its as if my ipod knew I was talking about it! In true Apple/Ipod style its now ****ed, again, third time this week. Playing it in my car.. its stops.. now its telling me its ok to disconect from my car.. but my cars outside. Piece of ****.

Id like to point out I'm running vista, its the fastest thing ive ever used in my life, and I'm not sure what your referring to but my pc has never been "virus riddled" or ""crippled upon start up"
  18. Marc replied to Phill's topic in Nonsense
Yea they look nice, god knows how many times my ipods gone wrong in the past couple of weeks and ive had to wait till I get home to plug it into my pc for it to finally reset its self, defeats the point of music on the go and all that.
  19. Marc replied to Phill's topic in Nonsense
I was on about a base air thing
  20. Marc replied to Phill's topic in Nonsense
Well if the build quality/reliability is anything like my experience with ipods I feel sorry for those who part with £1200 for a just base level one.
  21. Ill make sure I press all the right buttons alex
  22. Marc replied to Phill's topic in Nonsense
Sorry just imo I dont see what difference thinness makes, most laptops are pretty small now anyway and hardly weigh a tone.
  23. Marc replied to Phill's topic in Nonsense
because there being over hyped, if it was a dell, sony etc id say exactly the same thing
  24. Marc replied to Phill's topic in Nonsense
thing is its not much smaller.. its thinner but apart from that not much else, it has a small hardrive.Maybe if it was smaller it could be more attractive but being abit thinner adds very little. And far from biased, if sony has a super thin laptop with small drive, no cd drive and just as expensive its just as pointless. Although theres of course the big difference that theres no sony fans thinking that its the best thing since sliced bread.
  25. Marc replied to Phill's topic in Nonsense
I think flash storage needs to become cheaper and bigger before we see the end to things such as CD's/DVDs, Hard drives are not *unreliable* as such, but IMO they are far to unreliable to replace CDs just yet.As to the mac book *hot*air,It looks very nice sure.. but why spend over double the price for something you can get something on par if not better spec wise just for the sake of a few cm? I personally cant see it catching on to anyone but die hard apple fans who like to waste so much of there money.
